This was stupid. Sera didn't understand how this was supposed to help her train. Her control of her ability was just fine, she didn't understand how it wasn't. She could make a block of ice on command. She could even make spears of ice on command. She could freeze the entire field if she wanted to, or make an entire room cold enough to store food(not that she's let herself fall to needing to so such an unsavory task).
She didn't understand the point of focusing her powers only on the buckets in front of her. In fact, Sera had little idea of what she was even supposed to be doing in this exercise.
"Make them buckets of ice water," was what the trainer said.
The first time she tried, Sera had frozen the bucket and water solid. Which hadn't been right. The second time, she'd merely made cold water. That wasn't right either apparently. The third time, she tried to simply make ice cubes in the water, which had ended up with large floating chunks of ice. Still wrong. Sera was quickly losing her patience.
She was instructed to keep working on it for the next hour. Sera had gone through at least three more failures before her patience finally snapped and she growled in frustration. She lashed out with her power, sending a blast of freezing cold air from her hand as she swiped the space in front of her, causing the grass which it struck to become completely white and as solid and sharp as icicles. The grass by her feet, radiating out to at least five feet around her, suffered the same fate. Sera screamed again, uncaring of who may be witnessing her tantrum.
