Powers: Enhanced Perception - Miles' abilities span all the senses but are more finely attuned in when it comes to taste and smell as they are inter connected. He can taste smells a lot of times and can taste individual ingredients in foods making him a very picky eater/making it difficult to eat. He can hear rather well which creates insomnia for him as it is hard to sleep through all of the noise. Then pepper that with the constant and regular headaches and not always feeling comfortable in his own skin in a lot of ways his abilities is something of a curse.

General Appearance: Straight laced and proper might be a word to describe Miles' sense of style. He likes a clean and professional look at all times. He tends to wear nice clothing that come with a fairly decent price tag because of the quality of the fabric. He likes soft fabrics and is loath to anything of a wool like nature. He wears collared shirts because it gives a nice image and looks professional but he's always got an undershirt on beneath that because he is loath the feel of the fabric and the seams, his undershirts are of a cotton or knit blend and fit close to his skin and has no tags (he can't stand those).
About the only thing that stands out from his clean and pristine look it the facial hair he has growing. He keeps it neat and well trimmed but refuses to shave, the idea of tiny sharp razors against his skin? He tried it once, never again the sound and feel was enough to make his skin crawl, it was bad enough trimming it and getting a hair cut but he'll manage those things on an as need basis.
He stands at just shy of six feet and is rather thin, but not quite a bean pole. He's not athletically built really as he's a bit loath to the stench of the gym but there is some slight definition to his physique. He typically stands tall but a lot of time has his head down a bit to avoid overly bright lights and has a scowl many times due to the issues with bright lights, and repugnant smells that people are prone to.
Personality:
Determined - Miles is a very determined, once he gets something in his head it is hard to get him off of that idea. It can cause people to think that he is pigheaded. He can have his mind changed and be convinced of other new things but he is not easily swayed from his set goals.
Stubborn – He is that mountain that will not be moved. He does not change his mind easily and will not waver from a decision he has made. So in short it can be hard to reason with Miles once his mind is made up.
Patience – Miles hates waiting, when he wants something he wants in now not later. He lives in a world with instant gratification and he doesn't see why he can't have a part of that either. If he is made to wait too long he will either become rude demanding what he wants or he may act a little rashly and take what he wants.
Rash - Miles doesn't always think before he speaks. He will quite simply speak his mind and it isn't the most polite thing in the world. He doesn't think through many consequences and when faced with them he doesn't always back down because he is pretty much always the one who is right.
Judgmental - Miles tends to look at things with a critical eyes he can tell a lot about a person in a short amount of time just based on the senses. Sometimes Miles can be a bit harsh in his assessment of things.
Intelligent - Miles is a rather bright and intelligent man. He's good at calculating and figuring things out. He tended to have top marks in school. He was always good with information and paper writing. He tends to have a sill with words and getting people to on board with a thought or idea despite the fact that he doesn't always keep his tongue and can be rather rude at times.
Charm - This is a give and take with Miles, there are days where he can charm the socks right off a person winning them over to his side of the conversation convincing people that need to buy or sell their stocks or shares at the right time. He is good at this because it isn't exactly hard to figure people out based on their actions and reactions, the body lets off a lot of different chemicals and sounds based upon emotion and thoughts. Yet, when not trying to work a person a lot of the charm can vanish as he speaks his mind which does not often win him friends.
Pride –This aspect of Miles mixes right in with his stubbornness when he does something that he thinks is right and he turns out to be wrong it is difficult for him to apologize and admit his faults. He acts as if he’s faultless even if he is a fault.Your VicesLikes:

Any Other Important People:NoneHistoryTo look at the life of Miles there really wasn't much of special importance to his child hood. He was born in America and lived there for nine years of his life when he was moved to England to follow a job offer his father had received to do research and teach in one of the prestigious schools there. He was considered quite and expert on a rare subject of history and literature from that time period - it wasn't something Miles had paid much attention to. Of course it was quite the adjustment to start living in England versus America but within a few short years Miles had adjusted fairly well, at least until he was about twelve.
At twelve things changed for Miles and he started finding most everything tasted terrible, and things were much too loud and lights were far to bright and the chronic head aches set in. This threw his mother into a right panic thinking the worst possible situation and he was rather quickly taken to a doctor where he was subjected to a battery of blood tests and learned that he was a meta-human with the ability of enhanced perception. It was advised that he attend a school for gifted students like him at Kocher. It was agreed upon and within two weeks and Miles began a whole new life one that he did not expect to have, starting in the middle of the second semester.
Going to a boarding school so far from his parents caused him to grow up rather quickly and he eventually learned how to cope and block out certain things with his perception and how to focus his abilities at other times to get a better read on people and a situation. With focus though it brings on headaches more quickly than normal he can tell when a person is lying or nervous among other things. The human body lets off very distinctive signals dependent upon one's emotional and mental state. It was a skill that Miles has appreciated honing for his work in selling share and stocks. He joined with an international firm there in the UK that was based in the united states and is what some would consider a shark as he can know and work a room like few others. Of course that is credited to his particular skills and abilities and really he was heading straight for the top until he opened his mouth about his boss being a little too fond of the cigarettes which is the polite way of presenting what he said. It was from there that his boss had it out for him and has held a prejudice against him and was the one who recommended him for relocation to a very small firm and work bracket there in Vermont. Giving him one of the worst work brackets in the market under the guise that as their lead shark he should be able to create a sizable and blooming market there despite the fact that there isn't the business interest or base for it, making Miles miserable.Roleplay ExampleStanding close by to help obscure the work of his brother Aiden nodded his head when Lucius told him how he would need to disable the alarm. It was something he should have already considered but hadn't, this was a time period that still had those. He wasn't sure how the systems would be different. Each system was different and there were different tricks for each of them. He started to rack his brain just in case as Lucius set to work. There was a certain look of concentration on Aiden's face as he listened for the right sounds and his brother adeptly worked.
He knew that his brother couldn't give the lock the sort of care it deserved but he knew that Lucius was the master at it as he taught him and though he himself was good, Aiden was of the opinion that Lucius was a bit better than he was. It was always best that Lucius do the basic locks in a lot of cases so Aiden could focus on the computer and technologically based systems, that was a forte that he had picked up during their lines of work.
The moment there was a click of the door Aiden knew the job was done but that didn't fully eliminate the possibility of an alarm. There were two possibilities, one the alarm was motion sensitive rather than reactionary to the unlocking of a door, and it was also possible that the alarm was silent. Those did have a time period of being vogue so as not to alert the thief allowing them to be caught, he wasn't sure if this had started during this time period.
Carefully pushing the door forward a bit Aiden was the first to slip in his eyes looking for a device, he could hear the warning tones helping to direct him to it rather quickly he had a minute two if he was lucky to disarm it and a limited number of attempts to disarm it before it went into panic mode and alerted authorities. Noticing the brand it wasn't one that Aiden hadn't seen in a while and quickly opening the panel. He pushed a quick sequence banking on the stupidity of people not to edit the code from the original setting there were two common options. He entered the first code and he got a negative reaction, and the count down continued, and he tried the second option, he didn't want to try more than three different codes because that was usually the limit of attempts and it would into panic mode. If this second attempt didn't work he would either have to hot wire it or use his abilities to shut it down. Not being as familiar with the tech the later option was sounding quite good if his second code didn't work. A shorted out system would warrant a phone call from the company as was typical and that would be easy enough to deal with. But he didn't have to worry about the phone call as the second preset code worked and the panel lit up welcoming them home and all was silent and a small smile of triumph crossed his lips as he turned to take in the place a bit better, his focus blinding him earlier.What About You?Name: Carrie
