Thread Roulette: State of Grace

Gabriel, Onya, and Jonathan & Jacob Bishop have to put together an act for a show, but they only have three hours from inception to debut.

It was a kinda John and Jake's fault that they only had three hours to put together the show. They were supposed to have met with Onya and Gabriel earlier in the day, but between sleeping in, forgetting that they were meeting at the theater and not the school, running out of gas on the way back, and getting stopped outside on the street to talk to someone who knew their family, the brothers were running several hours late.

"We're here," "We're here," they yelled as they burst into the theater.

"Sorry," Jake added as he and his brother gave pitiful apologetic looks.

The brothers jumped up on the stage, hoping that their companions weren't too upset. After all they still had plenty of time, right.

"So we were thinking, we should add in a stunt," John said once they had settled. His brother eagerly nodded along. "What do you guys think?"

Gabriel was still a little confused about the act he was supposed to put on with Onya Falch and the Bishop twins. When the boys asked for his help with their act, he was more than willing to offer his services. He didn't realize that mean meeting with the boys just hours before show time, or that the twins would show up late to the only rehearsal time they could secure.

"A stunt?" Gabe asked, his face contorting in confusion. "What... what kind of stunt? What kind of act is this supposed to be anyway?" Gabe had just automatically assumed it was something musical. After all, he was the music teacher... and Onya had apparently been taking guitar lessons from a Pilot Ridge local. They had plenty of time to talk and try playing a bit together waiting for the boys to show up.
