It would suffice to say some were shocked when Eloise Eaton decided to decline her offer to attend fashion school. She did a lot of soul searching once she found out her father had been keeping an entire chunk of her life away from her. She took a year off, messed around with an Etsy page, and applied to a few schools. She interviewed with the FIT in New York, as well as FIDM in Los Angeles. But she realized she didn't want to go to fashion school. She wanted to be a fashion designed more than anything, yes. But she hated the idea of stuffy old professors telling her how she should do what she already knew she knew how to do.
So instead, Eloise decided to stay in Pilot Ridge with the little family she'd found herself in, and go to University of Vermont for business and a minor in consumer affairs (and maybe French...). College was much different than high school was for Eloise, and it was a bit of a tough transition. Things didn't come to her quite as easily, and for once in her life, she was actually stressed about her grades. She didn't live in a dorm, so she was on her own when it came to homework - and couldn't even overhear the thoughts of her roommates for a hint on the more difficult problems.
That being said, the longer she was at UVM, the more Eloise began to see herself as an actual profession. Like one day she could actually have her own business, her own fashion house somewhere out in the world. She was lucky enough to come from money, and would have a place to start. And now she was learning the skills it would take to truly be successful.
Of course, this was only her first semester, and she still hadn't even touched her first round of finals. Already a little nervous for her accounting final, Eloise decided it was about time to start studying for the dreaded exams. So she dedicated an hour or two every day after class to sitting in the library and going over material. With her blonde hair in a high ponytail to keep out of her eyes, and a white cashmere sweater and knee high boots (since even nerds can look hot), Eloise chewed on the end of her pencil, flipping through pages of notes, instead of pages of magazines.
