DETERMINATION (Eugene)

This was… Not the weirdest place that Kodi had had sex before, but it was the most unique one he’d experienced so far with Gene, and pretty silly in general. The fact that the younger boy was giggling so much and obviously enjoying it just made it that much more fun. Well, sex in general was pretty great, even with such a skinny, inexperienced guy such as Gene.

He continued to snicker as the younger boy laughed in response to his commentary, happy that he was getting such a strong positive response out of him. It was a good thing he weighed nothing, otherwise Kodi would probably be getting smooshed by all the rolling he was doing. Just to add to it, he even tickled and skimmed his fingers against Gene’s sides. Once he’d finally calmed down a little, Kodi rubbed his knuckles up and down the bony ridge of the boy’s spine, feeling incredibly content. “You sure?” he teased. “I think you might’ve got hit by rubble… Here.” He pecked Gene’s temple. “And here.” He leaned down and planted a kiss on Gene’s shoulder. “You’re not?” he gasped in mock surprise. “You’ve been keeping that from me this whole time?”

He grunted when Gene stood up by using his face, quickly getting up after the younger boy and stalking him down menacingly. “Ah! Pillows, my only weakness!” he cried out as he let the flying object hit him in the chest, but he continued moving forward until he managed to pin the rich boy against the wall. He was just about to lean in with a leer and take a proper kiss from him… When he heard his phone buzz with an alarm. Kodi frowned, then sighed. “…. I gotta leave for work soon,” he told Gene, his elation quickly ebbing. He'd almost forgotten.

Gene had definitely never done anything like this before and he was ready to do it all over again, or something similar. What else could they do though? he thought. Gene had some ideas, but he wasn’t thinking of them in the immediate moment simply because he was already caught up in the hype of what they were already doing. Maybe he’d suggest them for next time? Because there was definitely going to be a next time, after this.

Gene squealed when Kodi’s fingers tickled his sides, and squirmed even more on top of the dentokinetic trying to get away from those flittering fingers. Luckily, Kodi didn’t torture him with tickles for long, allowing the younger boy to calm down slightly on top of him while the older boy rubbed his hand soothingly up and down Gene’s back. “Rubble? Where…?” Gene asked, just as Kodi moved in and gave him a peck. Then another. And another. “Wahh!! Nooo, I’m okay, I don’t need it!” he wailed again, though this time with a bright grin on his face and a laugh on his voice. Kodi was just being too silly!

Luckily, Gene was able to get away from Kodi’s kiss attack and across the room before he could suffer any more. He continued to propel pillows out towards that nefarious fiend, but to no avail as the enemy was soon right on top of him again and ready to come in for yet another attack. Gene prepared himself…..but then came the alarm from Kodi’s phone, quickly disrupting their lighthearted game. Gene’s smile slowly faded. “Oh….” he said, lowering his gaze. Right, Kodi had to go to work. He had other things he had to do outside of being around Gene. Stuff. Life. Blehhh.

“Okay…” he said with a small frown. Gene pushed himself up and maneuvered around Kodi back to the mess of blanket so he could unbury his clothes. “I guess you better go then. I’ll have Aggie clean this up.” Kodi could get his own clothes… Gene didn’t know why he was suddenly so grumpy…

Kodi cackled as Gene squirmed under his touches, only egging him on more until he thought the scrawny boy had had enough. He always felt like he had to treat the younger one like he was made of glass – just feeling how knobbly and bony his back was reminded the dentokinetic of just how fragile he really was. He was fortunate he hadn’t seriously injured the guy by now. “Oh shush, I don’t want you to let your ‘injuries’ get infected, an’ this is the best way to prevent that,” he teased. Since Gene seemed to be enjoying himself despite what he said, Kodi didn’t think he needed to stop.

Until the younger boy got away, that was. Kodi scowled good-naturedly as the pillows continued to land against and near him, but he kept up his ‘courageous’ walk forward, determined to reach his princess despite the challenge. But it was all in vain, as his alarm might as well have been a ferocious dragon that was going to steal the younger boy away from him. “Yeah…” he grumped, displeased. He really liked his job, but he was having fun here. Kodi sighed and looked to the side. “… Sorry…”

He let Gene go and slowly followed after him, taking a bit of time to find his own clothes and put them on. Kodi should probably freshen up a little before he left, but… He couldn’t muster the energy or motivation. He frowned at Gene’s sudden grumpiness as he pulled his pants on. “I can’t help my work schedule…” he explained with forced patience. “I’d stay if I could.” That way they could fix the fort rather than wait for it to be taken down completely. “We can build another one next time I’m over, okay?” He stepped forward and gave Gene another peck on the temple before slowly hovering back and away towards the door. “I’ll… Text you later…?”

“Nooo~ You’re lying~” he wailed with a bright grin on his face. With the assault of kisses, Gene was never going to stop laughing at this rate! His sides were already starting to ache from constantly trembling. At least he was able to get away eventually and retaliate in turn.

Unfortunately, that moment of victory was short lived once the alarm which signaled Kodi needing to leave sounded. Gene felt like his whole good mood had suddenly dissipated in a matter of seconds, and now there was no going back. Even his aura seemed to sink and darken at the news. If Gene could, he would have made his aura disappear completely just so his sudden bad mood wasn’t put on display so obviously, but the best he could do was lighten it and shrink it as close to him as possible.

“It’s okay,” he said as he pulled his clothes back on. “You have important things to do, so….you should go take care of them.” Gene raised his head and tried to force the ‘at ease’ smile he would show his mother before she got called away for her work. He nodded. “Or we’ll make something else,” he offered instead, trying to show that he wasn’t upset. Gene clasped his hands behind his back and tilted his head slightly to receive Kodi’s kiss, chuckling softly at the small tickle. Gene nodded again. “Okay. Let me know when you can come over again.” Because Kodi was going to come over again, sometime. That thought alone made it….bearable, he supposed. His chest still ached, though…

Kodi honestly had the very briefest of thoughts to call into work sick, but he quickly let it drop. He enjoyed his work, really, and it was too late to try to find a replacement anyway. He didn’t want to get on his boss’s bad side, either. No, he needed to go, even if seeing Gene’s aura visibly darken and shrink was enough to make him feel a heavy weight in his chest.

He didn’t believe what Gene was saying, nor the forced smile that the younger boy had on his face, but Kodi didn’t really have a choice. “Alright…” he replied slowly. “I’d stay if I could, really… I was havin’ a lot of fun.” He finally managed a tiny smile in return. “We’ll do whatever you’d like next time, even if it’s readin’ another stupid video game.” It was obvious by now Kodi didn’t really think it was that stupid. “I will. It’ll be soon, okay?” Maybe if he wasn’t too tired, he could even come stop by as a surprise when he was done with work. With another last glance back, Kodi headed out, already sending the boy an eggplant-emoticon text by the time he was halfway down the road. He would send similarly short texts as much as he could while he worked, but it was a busy day, so he couldn’t contact Gene as much as he would have liked to.
