General Appearance: Ophelia has thick golden blonde hair that gently curls and goes past her waist. She has never considered having her hair cut shorter and because she takes care of her hair (making sure that the ends don't look a mess) she has never had too.
She is quite frail, a trifle too thin, with milky skin. She doesn't tan at all. She wears as little make up as she can, only concealer, lipstick and a bit of blusher. Her delicate features make her seem fragile. She is quite fragile, she uses a black cane because her right leg was a bit messed up at birth. She can walk with out the cane but only if she takes medicine for the pain.
She has an absent look in her large pale blue eyes, accentuating her ethereal appearance. She has thick eyelashes and her eyes sometimes appear to be grey in certain lights. She has quite defined features, which combined with how she walks give her quite a mysterious presence.
Personality: Ophelia is a naturally shy girl. She may be quiet but if you get her talking she won't want to stop. She isn't very good at meeting new people and appears quiet and as cold as marble, but the people who get to know her realize that in her is a very loyal and protective friend.
Because she is so shy around people, everyone is genuinely surprised by her love to perform. Seeing her onstage is like seeing an entirely different person, she is confident and sure of herself. No one can deny that she is talented creatively, but academically is another story. She has dyspraxia, so she has a hard time understanding things and Ophelia will always be the first person to say that she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. But if something captures her attention then she has a very good memory.
While she may not be very smart, she does have a lot of common sense and cunning. She does have a temper but it takes a lot to make her mad. She is also a night owl. She hates going to bed and can stay up most of the night, needing only a couple of hours sleep. She has a great deal of pride.

History
Ophelia's mother wasn't the kind of person to plan ahead. She was 17, drunk and at a party. She met Ophelia's father, didn't know his name but she unwittingly went back to his place (he had the power of manipulation). She never saw him again after that and so when she became pregnant she didn't know what to do. It didn't help that her parents were very strict and tried to keep her on a very short leash (they had thought she was going over to a friends house to study). Dahlia didn't want to be disowned by her parents and kicked out on the street so she and her friend made plans. When Dahlia started to show that she was pregnant, her friends family invited her to go on holiday with them, and since the two families were such good friends Dahlia's parents agreed. Dahlia and her friend then went to the opposite end off the UK (they lived in London so they went to Scotland) so that she could have the baby and then put it in an orphanage.
Sadly, Dahlia had the baby very early. She was out in the countryside at the time and her friends mobile couldn't get any signal so she ended up having the baby in a field. She wasn't sure what to do next, she had to get to a hospital because the baby was so sick but didn't want to be near it incase she grew attached. Thankfully for her, she happened to spot lots of cars going down the road, she pulled one of them over and explained her situation. Inside the car was a relatively dim, but well meaning young woman who took pity on the baby and agreed to look after her, leaving Dahlia on the road side.
It turned out, the group of cars had all been traveling together, it was a traveling circus. The other people weren't too happy with what the young woman had done but they agreed to let the baby stay. Seeing as the child had no name and the young woman hadn't asked Dahlia's last name, they called the baby, Ophelia Aurora Beauregarde.
As the child grew up, the other members of the circus learned to love her. They each taught her their particular bit of the show, from trapeze to clowning. But when she was 14, her powers manifested themselves. She started inadvertently lifting things up with her mind and throw them across the room (this happened when she was mad). The leader of the circus realized he could make some money and started holding seances where Ophelia would 'contact the dead'. Word got around about Ophelia and by the end of the week she was being recruited into Kocher high school for the gifted. The problem was the language barrier with some people. Because she has difficulties learning new languages she had trouble with speaking to people. Ophelia begged the school to let her transfer to another one and eventually they agreed, making arrangements to transfer her to the Hammel Institute.
Ophelia does know the circumstances under which she came to exist thanks to the young woman who saved her and because of this is very set with her morals, she doesn't drink alcohol, doesn't do drugs and is saving herself until marriage. She is also known for her very strong, posh British accent, which some may find adorable others find it hard to understand.
Roleplay Example
Ophelia stepped out of the plane and was immediately hit by a blast of hot air. She was used to icy cold rain and freezing temperatures but she knew that there was going to be hot weather and in a toss up between being somewhere hot and being confused by so many different languages, she would always choose the hot weather.
Ophelia gulped, looking down over the railing of the stairs at the ground below. She seemed so high up. She gripped tightly to the railing with her left hand while her right hand clutched her cane, and nervously made her way down. It isn't too far, if you did fall you probably wouldn't be too badly hurt she thought to herself. She let out a sigh of relief as she stepped onto the ground.
She stared at the bags going round on the carousel, waiting for her own. She spotted a large dark red suitcase appear at the begginning of the carousel and quickly walked forwards to grab it. She pulled it off and smiled as she checked the tag. Pulling up the handle, she rolled it to the entrance of the airport. She paused, unsure of what to do and got out a list from her shoulderb bag. It said there would be a taxi waiting to take her to the institute. She looked around uncertainly and smiled as she saw a man with a piece of cardboard with her name on it. She sighed in relief as she got in the taxi and said to herself, "This is it."
