Prehensile Hair:
JJ's hair is completely prehensile. He can control it and allow it to move as if it were extra hands. The strength of his hair is as strong as he is. So if he can lift 150lbs. so can his hair. However he can only lift so much without losing his balance. It is strong enough to support his whole weight however. His hair is also always the same length which is to the floor. Everytime he gets it cut, which is rare, it regrows within days, provided he's getting enough protein and calcium.
Drawbacks:
It often mirrors his emotions. If he's sad or tired it's limp and barely moves. If he's angry or excited it can go wild. He also suffers from migraines due to the constant movement of his hair and the strain it puts on his scalp. If his hair is harmed he's hurt. So he usually has to be put under for haircuts....or get really drunk.

General Appearance:
JJ comes off as grungy, dark and possibly evil. And that's just what he wants. He stands roughly 6 feet tall. He some muscle but a little fat to him as well. And while looking grungy and dark his eyes convey something completely different. He has soft and almost caring eyes.
His usual clothing consists of black band T-shirts or T-shirts with various macabre pictures, raggedy jeans and boots. Bracelets are pretty common as well. However he changes them regularly as well as the silver rings he wears. His hair is always wild and occasionally has what looks like metal rings in it as well. Although he claims he didn't put them there.
Personality:
Despite his appearance JJ is actually very sweet and calm. It's almost difficult to make him angry, usually. He does have a few things that piss him off. Meta-Human rights being one of them. But that's pretty standard for most Meta-Humans. He's extremely kind and soft spoken. Odds are that's from his upbringing as his father was very loud and mean even to him.
Of course he's also a flirt. He enjoys women and is very open with everything. This is something he inherited from his father. He has no filter despite how bad he may feel afterwards for saying that. He tries his hardest to make friends and is always trying to please people. Which of course is complex what with his lack of a filter. He's really just a great big softy which has lead some people to think he may be mentally challenged. However that is not the case as he received those tests upon entrance to school. He's the kind of guy everyone wants to be around, unless the sh*t hits the fan as he's not a fighter.

HistoryJJ was born in Sicily, Italy to Marco Reneir and his pen pal girlfriend Andrea. The two quickly married and she moved into Marco's family home. It was rocky from the start as Marco soon revealed he was easily angered and not faithful. He cheated on his young wife constantly and then would hit her when confronted about it. She'd hoped that he'd turn around once Jiovanni was born but that never happened. He began to drink more and grow meaner. One night when Jiovanni was only 2 years old Marco murdered his wife after she threatened to leave him. He managed to make it look like an accident and was found innocent.
He then began to abuse Jiovanni for the next 10 years. One his twelfth birthday Jiovanni's hair grew four feet over night. His father questioned him about it and raised his hand to strike his son. But Jiovanni's hair shot out and wrapped around his father's wrist and broke it. Jiovanni then quickly ran off, and began to live on the streets. He was soon approached by the Swiss meta school and offered a spot. Coming from the prominent Reneir family he was a great prize. He spent the next 6 years there and his abilities were questioned to see if he'd make a viable weapon. When they deemed him useless but controlled he graduated. He then emmigrated to the US, completely unaware of his father's status. He took the name JJ and moved to Pilot Ridge, an area full of Metas. He took a job at a club and still works there. He's now the main DJ there and has made a life for himself now.
He turned his hair into dreadlocks to make them more manageable. And despite his upbringing he himself began to drink. He has not completely mastered the English language but has a good enough grasp of it. He watches the tide turn as militant metas began to become more and more common place. He has yet to actually pick a side however.

Roleplay Example
It was very late as JJ walked down the street. A lit cigarette rest comfortably against his lips as the cool winter wind blew. He pulled his black hoody tighter around him. He'd just left the club so he was still hot and sweaty. He'd had enough to drink to give him a slight wobble to his steps, not like he cared. His hair occasionally moved due to his happy attitude.

He said with a smile before producing his flash and taking a swig from it. The cuffs of his tattered black jeans were already wet from the snow and slush he walked through. He smiled as a light snow began to fall. But he quickly spun hearing fast footsteps coming towards him.
