Hello Darryl,

I wanted to give you an update. This... seemed the easiest way to accomplish that.

I hope this proves I really don’t want to keep you out of the picture. While I might not want to pursue a relationship with you, that doesn’t mean we can’t figure something out for the sake of our baby.

Anyway, I wanted to send you one of the ultrasound pictures. And... curiosity got the better of me. I asked them to tell me the gender. If you don’t want to know, I’ll respect that. But if you do, just let me know.

Thank...thank you so much for including me. I am quite literally at a loss for words. I just can't convey how completely....precious the baby is to me, as you are as well. I do hope we can figure something out, because I would hate to miss such a....wonderful thing that I helped bring into this world---I know I've been off to a rather horrible start and I do apologize from the depths of my heart and hope you can forgive me.

Please do tell me the gender. I've been so terribly curious about it. I've been reading up on...everything to do with babies. You've been eating right, right? Getting enough vitamins and all that? It's only recently occurred to me how very extremely delicate the process of growing a human is, and like I said before, if you need me, in any way, you just let me know.

Hi Darryl,

I’m honestly glad you feel that way. I think we’ve both made mistakes, but I wanted to include you on this. It’s only fair. This is a part of you, too. I think we should make some time to talk face to face, and figure all of this out.

It’s a boy. We’re going to have a son. Which means that we’re going to have to start thinking about names. If you have suggestions, please let me know. I’ve been thinking about it on and off.

Of course I’ve been eating right. Between my family, and Eli, I have constant reminders. And last time he was checked, the baby is perfectly fine. I still can’t believe he’ll be here in March.

Yeah, we do need to talk it out. Figure something out and everything. How about over Dinner, perhaps? I am really busy during school with the Play, but after school sometime would be great.

A Boy! Wow. Names... I will start thinking about them, then, I don't have any in mind at the moment, though.

Just checking! I didn't doubt that you were. You've probably prepared for things I don't even know about yet, but I am trying.

Dinner actually sounds like a good idea. How is the play coming along? I’ve been hearing the students talking in the halls about it. It sounds interesting.

I’ve been thinking about them a little bit. I did have girls’ names, because someone told me that the more I prepared for one gender, it would be the opposite. I was hoping it would work. Apparently, it did. I had a few names I liked, but we can talk about that at dinner, I suppose. My brother has been sending me horrible suggestions, which I won’t repeat, nor consider.

No. I’ve been going to the doctor, like I should be. I haven’t missed an appointment. Dr. Neville was nice enough to refer me to a friend of his. She’s a lovely woman. Eli helped me set up the nursery, and he won’t let me get out of eating right, or any of that stuff. He’s been a big help. So... I’m getting there, as far as being prepared goes, though I know it won’t seem that way in a few months. And I do know you’re trying. I appreciate it. We will figure something out.

Midori,

The play is....coming together, slowly. The students have about realized it is time to buckle down or they will all look like jokes in front of their peers. I've already tried telling that to them a billion times but hey, I'm just their teacher.

So, I'll swing by your office sometime after school to plan this dinner? I don't have anything planned for this weekend, the play is taking up a lot of my afternoons during the week...
