Ann could count on one hand the amount of times she'd been in the all-boys dorm section of the school; zero. The few friends she had made were either her roommates, or she just didn't hang out with them in this setting. She honestly didn't want to be here, but what she wanted didn't really enter into this. Two days ago she had arrived late to class to see that everyone had been split up into research partners. The class was an even number, and there had been another person that arrived at the class late like Ann; Zachary LaRousse. She had no choice, not that she knew she didn't want to be his partner.
However, his first eyebrow waggle in her general direction had started to put her off on the idea, but she didn't have a choice and the research material seemed easy. The Canterbury Tales were easy to find, and Ann had half a mind to research the Skinner. The Wife of Bath had seemed to be the pick of the ladies, but Ann had already read her story; it was stupid. The man raped a girl, and he got off of being punished for answering the Queen's question and then got to live the rest of his life with his really hot lady.
It was completely bullshit.
Anyway, she arrived at the dorm number Zac had told her (this had better not be a prank, and he better be dressed) to go to and she knocked soundly on the door. Saturday wasn't the most popular day to spend doing homework but Ann had nothing better to do, and Zac had been willing to comply, but the fact that he insisted they do the research in his dorm, instead of the library was just a little odd. Though, Zac's normal self seemed a bit odd to her.
After a moment of silence after her knock, she did so again. "Zac, open the door, I'm not standing out here forever." She really didn't want to hang in the hallway. What if someone...saw her? And tried to talk to her? That'd be bad, unless she already knew them, which was unlikely. "I'll kick it in," she warned, because she was properly equipped to do so. One swift kick right below the doorknob would send it in, but Ann was hardly one for such an entrance. And it wasn't like she had money to spare to fix the lock.
