It took Paulo a little while to find the right house. Thankfully, there was a nice old lady walking her dog on the next street over, and was able to point him in the right direction. She was a kind old thing, and it didn't even occur to her that a man carrying a pink teddy bear and a cactus--and saying they were gifts for the child of a friend--might be up to no good.
When he had the right house--and he knew he did, because a quick scan showed him it was the only house with two metas inside on the street--he put down his gifts, rang the doorbell, and ran.
He was around the corner in seconds.
The card, tucked under the arm of the bear, read "Get well soon!" on the outside. On the inside, it was just signed Paulo.
