Ann couldn't remember the last time she had actually been sick sick. Last week, she'd developed a bit of a cough, but she figured that was just allergies that had long since been forgotten because of her years spending spring in doors, and now she works at a place that deals with flowers and pollen. She didn't think much of it. Then she started loosing energy. A particular work out in the training room, two days ago, made her feel like she was dying. The next day she woke up with a fever, a pounding headache, and just generally felt like death.
She'd headed to the infirmary, to hopefully get something to just make it go away. But it just wasn't that simple. The doctor said she had the flu of all things. He'd admitted that other people had come in with it as well, but had come in to get care a lot sooner than her. She had said she was fine, but then abruptly vomited on the floor. He told her to lay down in one of the beds while he cleaned it up and then get her a glass of water.
Her fever and symptoms just seemed to get worse, her general outlook on life darkened as she tried to get comfortable in the bed, but to no avail. She just felt like she was dying. She'd managed to fall asleep, however. She got up once through the night to go yack her guts up in the bathroom and wash her face. She got back in bed and laid awake, groaning and moaning and trying to make herself feel better with her power--to no avail.
She'd managed to fall asleep sometime before dawn, but her hunger woke her up. She didn't like who she saw when she did wake up. "What are you--" she paused to hold back a bit of vomit, "--doing here?" Ann probably looked awful thanks to her night, and now that she took a moment to look at him...
Zac looked awful too.
