Heat Resistance Training (Honor)

It was just another hot summer's day at Hallow's Edge and Arlo was, as usual, walking around inside avoiding anything that might involve having to go outside. So far, he had been far too afraid to attend any training sessions because he barely understood the language, let alone being told what to do with his own power. He was sure it would just confuse him. It was getting stiflingly hot even in the corridors now though and Arlo had no idea how he was supposed to cope with the heat of the summer if it kept getting hotter. It was only May, after all.
That morning he had therefore decided he was going to go to the indoor training room and see if he could find someone who might be willing to help a foreign kid that probably wouldn't understand a thing they said and end up passing out on the floor due to overly resisting heat that probably wasn't even that bad. He had his medication clasped in his hand in his pocket, even though he knew if he passed out it would be heat resistance not his immune deficiency playing up. He couldn't help it though, he was always scared of passing out.
He slowly walked towards the training rooms, his fist tightening on the medication in his pocket with every passing second. It was clear the boy wasn't too keen on getting lessons to control his power. He was scared of doing it wrong and ending up in hospital all alone again. Admittedly, he was pretty much all alone there still but that wasn't quite the point, he wouldn't even have his spider there this time.
As he reached the door, he took a deep breath and then pushed it open, hoping not to knock anyone over this time as he had done before. He couldn't help being so short he couldn't see through the window to know if he was going to hit anyone with the door, after all. Why couldn't his power have been height altering? Now that would've been useful. Heat resistance just seemed stupid.
He stepped inside the room and quietly closed the door behind him, then went and stood by himself near one of the walls just looking for someone that wasn't busy and didn't look like they had any heat-related powers that might hurt him. He was nervous. Very nervous. And he was sure it would only make his attempt at English even worse.
