JD was over the worst part of his flu. Namely the barfing and being unable to leave the restroom for hours at a time. Now he was to the point where he had to stay within range of a restroom and couldn't move around a lot. He also had an incredibly runny nose and a slight headache, as well as a bit of a cough. Enough to justify not going to class for a few days, not enough to warrant absolute bed rest. So he'd bought himself a 2-liter bottle of 7-up and was busy chugging it while working on getting to the next level on his Super Mario game.
He had the dorm suite to himself for the time being, so there were no complaints that he was hogging the television. Before anyone else came back, though, he'd have to clean up all the tissues littering the floor and wipe down a lot of the appliances. He'd vowed to try to clean up the area, since it may have been the general filth that got him sick in the first place.
JD was thoroughly involved in his game, so he didn't hear the first knock on the door. When the knocking came again, though, he managed to hit pause on his game and stood to answer the door.
He sighed and pulled open the door. "Whad is id?" he said stuffily. "I'b kinda--oh. Iz you. Whadda you wand? I'b sick, you dow, so you prob'ly don' wanna come in ride now."
He shuffled over to his spot in front of the television and blew his nose again. He scooped the other tissues up and carried them into the kitchen so he could throw them away.
"Seriously," he said, coming out. Now that his nose was clear he almost sounded like a human being again. "You don't want to be around me right now. I'm grumpy and irritable, and all I want to do is play video games all day, all right?"
