Norah stood perfectly still for a moment at the lakes edge, her hair blowing back over her shoulders or curling across her olive features. Norah loved water, it was something that calmed her fiery temper and soothed her anger. Whenever she felt particularly aggravated, she always headed for the lake, but if this wasn't possible, she'd spend her time at the pond within the grounds of Hammel.
Fighting the urge to take off her shoes and socks and stand within the small lapping waves that gently caressed the shore, Norah decided she should have a little fun, something slight just to entertain herself.
Crouching down, Norah grabbed a handful of stones, throwing the rocky ones back to the ground and keeping the smooth ones. Not the best of throwers, Norah had a quick look around before coming to the conclusion she was perfectly alone.
Taking a stone into her hand, Norah felt its almost soft surface within her palm before with a heave, she threw the stone towards the water, flicking her finger to add a spin to it. The stone hit the water, causing ripple after ripple as it bounced forward hitting the water a second time and third time before dropping into the depths.
Groaning slightly in disappointment, Norah decided she would play dirty. Taking a second stone, she followed suit, this time focusing her telekinetic energy on the stone as it flew through the air. Feeling the tingle in the back of her neck, Norah pushed the stone forward. As the stone collided with water, it flew upwards into the air, arcing majestically before connecting with the water's surface one more time. Narrowing her eyes slightly, Norah pushed her powers further, causing the stone to bounce higher and further out into the lake.
Grinning to herself, Norah dropped the remaining stones in her hand and as the stone hit the water for the third time, she threw her arm out, her fingers outstretched, channeling her psychic powers out into the ether. The psychic force reached the stone and burst, causing the stone to shriek though the air much further than it should have, causing the stone to plummet into the lake's surface, almost skidding across the water and sending spray upon spray of water upwards.
Giggling to herself, it was then Norah heard the snap of wood behind her. Instantly her hands dropped to her side and her fists clenched. Knowing fine well she should have been more careful with her powers, Norah inwardly cussed herself before taking a deep breath and turning on her heel to face whoever was behind her.
