The Details
Hair Color: Deep brown almost black
Eye Color: Light brown
Any Piercings? Ears, though she rarely wears any earings
Any Tattoos? None
Any Scars? None
General Appearance: Sara is about 5'7", she is lithe and athletic and generally walks with a catlike grace that belies her abilities. She has a been known on several occations to be seen jogging around the campus, so she's quite fit and actually quite quick at spotting any wrong doings around campus. Knowing somewhat what Sara is capable of tends to keep the students weary of her presence.
Her features are soft almost gentle, at least till someone makes her mad. She has a deadly stare, but rarely does she manage to scare any of the regular staff. Many of them already know her well enough by now to know that she only uses force when she has to. Her dark brown, almost black, hair is thick and falls just past her shoulders when left down.Often, though, her hair is pulled back into something much more managable so that is isn't in her face when she's working.
Sara dresses casually, though somewhat femanine, whether she is on the job or not. Usually this type of dress consists of long sleeve shirts and jeans, boots and sometimes an over vest or and Institute windbreaker. She dresses for practicality rather than style. Formal occations are a different matter entirely. Sara doesn't like parties but when she does attend she tends to turn heads. All she ever has for formal occations is gowns. She hates gowns.
Personality: Sara is a fighter through and through. When challenged she she does not back down, unless she sees that is is beneficial to all others. She could be catagorized as aggressive though she is still a very caring person. She also has a tendancy to hide her emotions.
Sara doesn't empathize with other people very well. However, she can empathize with certain situations. She is not a people person, or at least she wasn't when she was a student. That situation may have changed since graduating. As a result much of the staff know Sara more than she would like, but she likes familiar.
As far as her occupation, well lets just say that she knows from personal experience that some people like to do things the hard way. She doesn't like seeing innocent people get hurt just because someone wanted to rant. She believes in getting to the root of the problem rather than letting it stagnate while others try to do things delecately.
She also doesn't care much for fools. Just because she can sometimes be one doesn't mean she has to like it when others are. She's rough around the edges but underneath it all, Sara is a hero.
She has a soft spot for young children and is rather good with them. More so than with those in their teens. She also has a deeper respect for authority than she had in her younger days. If she sees that an authority figure is not being shown the proper amount of respect she'll set the person not showing it, straight.

History
Sara was born the oldest of five children. Most of her childhood was spent making sure she didn't do anything that would cause her younger siblings any harm. She's always been a bit protective of her family but groing up was rough on her. With her parents often working, Sara rarely had anyone to look up to as her siblings did her.
She was thirteen when all she knew came tumbling down around her. All that Sara really remembers of what had happened was that she had been looking frantically for her youngest brother, and that she had found him facing down the school bully. HER school bully that is. What happened next is still a blank spot in her memory. She would learn later from Anthony that she become something different, though he refused to go into detail. To this day he remains the only one of Sara's siblings that backs her 100%.
It was shortly after that point in Sara's life that she found out about the Hammel Institute from a traveling official of the school. Again the fabric of her world was unraveled. It would take several years at Hammel before it would be rewoven again.
Training herself to be able to control her abilities was something that Sara disliked entirely. She was often sore and fatigued causing her to be a rather surly teen. Her instructors and teachers often commented about her lack of concentration in the classroom. It wasn't that Sara was a bad student she just didn't like the whole learning in a large group setting. She found it was easier on her when she was alone in her dorm room and able to not have to concentrate so hard to keep some of her bone plates from showing.
By the time she was seventeen she had gained control of even that aspect of her powers. At this time also is when she claims that she began to really feel in control of her life again. She graduated with the rest of her class with fairly good grades and the choice to stay on in one of the work programs that Hammel had offered. At twenty-two she began her career as a Campus Security Officer, a job she says is one of the best things that she'd ever done with her life.
Months after her twenty-sixth birthday, Sara recieved news that her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. This devestated her and she wished to return home to be by her mother's side as she went through treatment. Dawn refused to let Sara give up her duties just to see to her. She begged for Sara to stay at Hammel and keep doing what she was doing. Sara stayed, but only because she didn't wish to further upset her mother's delicate condition.
At twenty-seven, Sara is currently waiting for the call that says her mother has passed on, but she continues her duties as promised.
Roleplay Example
This Example is from another website I'm a member of.
The Watering Hole. The young blonde had come to both enjoy it and utterly hate it. It was a stinking festering pile of Lycan filth by day, and a joyous chorus filled hollow by night. Sarah, however, had learned over five years ago, that it was as good a place to hide from other Lycans as she was ever going to find. The other bodies did well to mask her scent from her relentless pursuers. Lycan males looking for a mate. Sarah wasn't interested.
Tonight she was glad for the distraction of the howling and growling of challenges and mutual approvals of friendship or love. She had needed something to get her mind off of the up coming anniversery of the first day she had become a Lycan. And even more problemmatic, the thoughts of her twin sisters demise as well.
Would it have been so much to ask that they both be turned to Lycan or Vampire? Why did it have to be one to each race? Why couldn't they have just been left well enough alone?
Sarah wrinkled her nose and growled from deep within her throat. You see, Sarah had once been human. She had had a twin sister who, like Sarah, had loved the night and the moon. They had been seventeen when the attacks happened. THey had wandered too close to the forest edge. A brutal fight was taking place there. It could only have been between a Lycan and a Vampire. The two races loathed each other even on a molecular level that seemed to defy every boundry. Both girls knew that the beasts were so close to human territory because they were in desperate need of food. The kind of food that only humans could provide.
Sarah had known then that things would not end well for her and her beloved twin and she had told her sister, Elizabeth, to run. Run for all she was worth to summon the hunters. See, Elizabeth was the faster of the two, and Sarah had already resigned herself to the fate of ending up as food for whatever animal should win that fight. It was over before Sarah had realized what had happened. She was in the clutches of the Lycan before she even had the chance to run. Hearing Sarah's screams, Elizabeth had stopped running and turned in terror to see her twin already being feasted upon.
The vampire wasn't one to go hungry either. He lunged for Elizabeth and caught her by the wrist. His teeth sinking into Elizabeth's neck was the last thing that Sarah had remembered seeing that night. Five years she had looked and searched to find any trace of whether her sister had survived. And Sarah finally had her proof. But the half waxing moon could have waited till she had been given the chance to see Elizabeth's face.
"There she is!" A gruff voice sounded behind her.
Blast! She had stopped too long. *Why can't they go chase some other eligible female.* Sarah thought as she leaped easily over a vendor's stall. "Sorry, Mist." She called over her shoulder to the vendor.
"Now boys. She's hunting something else." Sarah heard Mist say behind her. "That girl will come back here and choose one of you fella's on some other day. Stop chasin' the poor girl till she drops."
Sarah smiled. Five years earlier Mist had been her first friend among the Lycans. She had claimed that Tunst had been the one to sniff her out while she lay dying in a mess of her own blood. Tunst was one of those blasted horny males chasing her. Mist had fixed her up, given her a new life among the growing Lycan population. She had taught Sarah about being a Lycan and how to hunt to survive. Not humans as most Lycan's did, but wild game. Sarah was appreciative of the old looking woman.
She sniffed the air and caught the scent of jasmine, and smiled. Finding a perch on an old weathered boulder, Sarah sat and sniffed again. Oh how she loved that smell. It reminded her of simpler days, happier days. She sighed and tilted her head up to look at the moon.
