Griff was thankfully a very forgiving sort, and was furiously convincing himself that though the idea of Riley meaning to put a hand on his thigh would be wonderful and all other good things, that it was just an accident. He decided to busy himself with the rim of his mug, looking down into the brown liquid as though it were extremely interesting. That way he could pretend he didn't see Riley's blush and also pretend he didn't have one of his own.
"Well, I have Friday off this week, and Monday too." He mused quietly, rubbing Gladys' back and moving his eyes to the TV. "If we can get Danny free on those days we should definitely go for a long weekend before the weather gets too cold." Griff, despite being used to freezing weathers, snow and rain, still didn't relish the idea of camping in late Autumn - he'd probably wake up frozen to Riley.
Griff half-heartedly watched the TV, still listening to Riley while feeling extremely comfortable. "I'm a movie lover myself, but I do watch the occasional documentary." And any episodes of Dawson's Creek or One Tree Hill. He couldn't help that he liked the teen drama so much. As the TV flashed up something about romance, the doctor decided once more that his tea was super fascinating. It was only when Riley called to attention the buzzing that Griff jerked up.
"Wonderful." He replied eagerly, gently setting Gladys down on the other part of the couch so the taller man could get up, before following him into the kitchen to eagerly wait for the tart crust to show up from out of the oven. Gladys decided stubbornly to follow both men, and at once started munching on a teatowel, tail wagging happily.
"I can't believe how excited I am to make this." He chuckled, gently nudging the goat from the teatowel, only for her to return to it moments later. "Brings back good memories."
