And now his golden locks were all muddy and dirty. Between the two dogs’ paws and the sand and dirt that clung to his wet hair, it looks utterly ridiculous. Mason actually felt a little disgusted on himself seeing his hair like that. Somehow he now knows why Sam usually calls his power rather unhygienic.
But that doesn’t mean he’s going to stop teasing Levi with his hair anymore.
“You think that’s an improvement? Then wait till you see this.” Without even blinking, two bundles of hair – one from his left and one from his right – suddenly shot forward and wrapped around Levi’s wrists. Once settled, they promptly untangled from each other and began tickling Levi’s palm. He’s been thinking of using such an idea to deter people away from ruffling his hair but he hasn’t really tried it. Yes Levi, you’re Mason’s current guinea pig.
At Levente’s thanks, he simply sent a smile back. While he’d appreciate if the man would tell him what happened, but he’s good with his silent assent too.
The man shouldn’t be too harsh on himself. Mostly because it was Mason’s own folly that he hasn’t told anything about her yet. “Yeah. Came from the Amazon. And oddly enough, a widow just like us.” Might not have been the best choice of words. Apologies from Mason. “She’s roughly my age, so I wonder how the hell could I have missed her back when I was a student.” Well for one, he wasn’t looking. “I just asked her out on a second date bro. Sorry I didn’t tell you earlier. But now I did, and I need tips.” He’d ask Sam too, but Levente seems a bit more credible than his other best friend.
“If she sees you, she will be,” he teased back.
