Jalen shook her ahead again. It must not have been that bad, considering he was currently driving the thing. “You’re in a grocery store using a grocery cart, what’s dumb about that?” She asked, looking at JD again. She really wasn’t going to let it go. He probably wouldn’t either.
“This is a bit different than riding a bike, but yeah, I get what you’re saying,” she said. Finally, something they could just agree on and move on. “And if the cart flips, it flips, just adds to the adventure,” she added then, not too concerned, JD was behind the thing anyways. Now if she had been driving... she would be singing a different tune. In fact, she would probably try and send the speedster flying on purpose. But he didn’t need to know that.
The blonde laughed at bit at her own childishness. “I’m glad you like my jokes,” she said, putting said buns into the cart, before she cracked another bad pun.
Jalen gracefully stepped off the cart and began unloading it onto the moving black conveyer belt after JD had paid for the tub of ice cream. A small ‘ding’ could be heard after each item was scanned and put into plastic bags, the girl taking out her wallet from her small purse, paying in cash. She shook her head no, “Nah, you can buy next time sweetheart,” she said, sending a wink his way, which made the cashier raise her eyebrows, making Jalen smirk. Buying all of this and cooking it would end up being cheaper than going out anyways, and they had had a lot of fun doing it.
She reached for the bags but JD beat her to it, so she just followed him outside with her car keys ready to go, unlocking the tiny car and popping the trunk. “Carrying grocery bags. Totally not dumb, right?” Jalen asked JD’s retreating figure. Make that a very nice retreating figure. He had put everything into the trunk as she reached the driver’s side, getting in and starting the car while she waited for him to get in too.
“No, we’re all set for the finest dinner you’ve ever had cooked in your dorm. Zac is going to be totally jealous,” she said with a smirk, not that she really cared what the billionaire thought, she was just talking now. She put the car in reverse, manoeuvred out of the parking lot, and only sped a little bit to get back to the dorm parking lot.
She got out of the car and popped the trunk again, taking the ice cream, waiting for JD to get the rest so she could close the trunk.
