Linden laughed in surprise and just because her joke had been funny. It wasn't that Morgana seemed stiff or unable to have a sense of humor, but in the situation they'd been in, he hadn't expected it. "That's a very good point. You sound like my sister now. Everything that girl says is right no matter how ridiculous it sounds." He laughed again, but this one came out a little different, somehow warmer. It happened when he talked about his family. Very rarely did anyone see feelings besides confidence and flirtation, he wasn't a type to talk about emotions or feelings with anyone besides his family. Even then, he only really talked about it with Ceri.
The smile on her face was somehow knowing, but that wasn't want Linden was focused on. He was still shocked by how a simple touch could be so electric. Maybe she was an electrokinetic. Not that that made any sense because he had a feeling if she was a meta she was empathetic. It didn't bother him though. This was the first time he'd really had a simple form of contact feel like he was being shocked by static electricity. It was fascinating to him.
"Hardy har har, I figured that'd cheer you up. And no, for your information you'd be the first, but let's not make a habit out of it. There's no need to get used to this special treatment," He smirked, trying hard to make it sound like he was serious. Though, in reality, he had no problem of treating her special. Her question made his eyebrows rise, "Yeah, I lived there for about half of my life actually." He didn't mention that he wasn't a Scot, there was no need to get into his family life yet. She didn't need to know that he'd been adopted or anything like that. Not yet at least.
When they reached the line, Linden kept quiet. He felt her head rest against his shoulder and the corner of his mouth pulled up. He could almost get used to this. It was all so strange to him, but it made him feel pretty protective and it took a lot for him to get feelings like that for someone he barely knew.
