Dani smiled. "Of course nobody else would call you that--that's half the point!" She shoved at him playfully. It was a move back towards familiarity, and she wasn't going to fret over it. He obviously wasn't going to be offended by friendliness, not with how he was clinging to her.

"Shut up, you know I'm right." She frowned again, shifting her weight. She didn't realize how much she'd missed this physical contact with the weather manipulator, not until he was draping himself all over her again. "It's fine," She murmured, torn between cuddling closer and pulling away from the wet. "I'm more worried about you catching cold. You're the one who's soaked, stupid."

She almost outright grinned when she spoke next, but she kept her face serious, and her tone grave. "I don't want you to die of pneumonia or something, so we need to get you out of these wet clothes." If nothing else, that would get a reaction other than "mope" out of the blonde boy.

"Ah...so you wanted exclusivity. Such a smart cookie." Robbie tweaked Dani's nose playfully. Of course he wasn't offended by it. He would probably be offended if she weren't that familiar with him.

"Do I, Waylan? Do I really?" he looked up at her through narrowed eyes, hopefully hiding whatever stupid, silly, inconsequential feelings he was having from her. Although knowing Dani the way he knew she did, there was no way the girl wouldn't see.

"Well, yeah. But you know...second hand soakedness. That's a...thing." He went back to her arm but her next words got him sitting straight up. "Oh...I see...well. I couldn't very well just be the only one. I mean, you know pneumonia is catching, right?" He picked at her sweater with a sly grin.

A distraction was exactly what he needed right now. He wasn't expecting anything more than harmless fun over the covers, not from Dani. But still, it was a distraction. A very...gorgeous distraction.

[D]A[N]I[C]C!?

Dani wrinkled her nose at him, shaking her head. "Whatever you say, Sunshine." She narrowed her eyes right back at him. "And yes, Wilkes. Really." And she almost did see what he was feeling, before she got distracted by how his still-dripping hair was clinging to his forehead and sticking up at weird angles and gods it was so annoying that he didn't just fix it himself.

"Secondhand soakedness? Oh, yeah, the seventieth largest killer of teens in America." The rest of her surely snarky and sarcastic reply that she would be proud to hear herself say was cut off by his tugging at her sweater. She realized she was taking much longer than she should have to to form a response. The fact that he had a voice any lesser girl would melt over wasn't helping anything. She mentally shook it off, but not before a shiver made its way down her spine. She grinned back at him. "Yeah, yeah. Just take that shirt off before you freeze or something."

She hesitated a moment as a thought that was at the back of her mind suddenly popped in. She didn't want to tiptoe around it, so she blurted out, "Why didn't you try to call? Or at least text? I know what I did was a bitch move, but you have a phone. And you have my email, my all my IM screennames--you could have tried." She watched him closely, waiting to gauge his reaction.

Robbie smiled triumphantly at Dani and ruffled her hair, playing with her glasses. "I love your glasses. You should wear them more often." He grinned, bopping their noses together.

"Well yeah, you're lucky I know the cure." He said in mock seriousness. Her lack of response soon after brought a smirk on his face before he chuckled at her grin. "Gladly." He took his time taking it off too, flexing his abs a little. The shirt was halfway off him when he heard Dani's question.

Why indeed. Could it have been pride?

He dropped the shirt back down and looked at Dani square in the eyes. "I...thought you would call first." He maintained eye contact as he continued. "The thing of it is...I thought I did something wrong. I...thought I was giving you space. I didn't realise you had...gone away." He sighed softly, shaking his head and running his fingers through his wet hair. "Came to a point where I thought it was better for you to be the bad guy."

Dani reached up, adjusting her glasses and releasing a laughing protestation. She hated her glasses, and thought they got in the way, but it wasn't like she was gonna stop wearing them. It was more annoying to not be able to see correctly and she did think she looked kind of cool, in a hot-nerd way.

Dani snorted, glanced away for a second, then opened her mouth to comment--Ohholyfrackinggod, those abs. Why the hell did she ever leave those abs? Forget the face and the personality, those solid stomach muscles alone should have been enough to keep her here. Adding the face, voice, and fact that he was willing to scheme epic fun with her, and she was willing to forgive him anything, no matter his reasoning.

Even if his reasoning was really fracking stupid.

Dani listened to his explanation with that weird feeling gnawing at her stomach again. She didn;t usually feel guilt, so she couldn't identify it well, but she did understand the anger. Anger she could do. "You idiot." She sighed, then tapped her fist on the side of his head. She couldn't actually full-on punch him, as much as she wanted to. It just didn't feel right, for some reason. Like the hit would have been misdirected. She looked up at him past her glasses, then put her hands on either side of his face. "I suck at apologies, Robbie." She said bluntly. And then she placed her lips to his.
