Heaven For The Weather (Craven)

Craven's eyes flicked sharply to Rhett when he began speaking, the soft smile still on his face and before he could gather his thoughts together, he heard those words. Someone you love, instead of someone attractive. No. He kept insisting that he didn't LOVE Romeo. That would make this hurt all the more. He was in love with Gia. It wasn't possible to romantically love two people at the same time in the same way. Not that he loved Gia like he... NOOOOO. Craven shook his head then froze staring at the ground as he heard that same thing from Rhett.

Oh God. If it was that obvious, it was a bad thing! Gia would notice! Or would she? Sometimes when she was with him and he was all cute and adorable and cuddlable then she hardly noticed a thing except being around him. If he could just sweep her off her feet each time they were together then maybe no one else would have to notice that he had feelings for Romeo. His eyes glanced back to the crows not having noticed that he'd made Rhett a little flustered.

"Talen didn't cheat if you didn't sleep with him by the way. "
Craven muttered softly then Rhett went on anoth Gia and the secret not staying secret for long. He rolled his eyes and lowered his head trying to seem dejected by the warning but he wasn't really. He wondered what would happen if she found out. Would she be angry? Hurt? Anything but happy and smiley. He was getting so sick of the way she was always happy and compliant. He wasn't he king. He was supposed to be her boyfriend.

Craven's eyes stared to the door, his lips pressed together tightly for a long moment before he spoke.
"Romeo won't care how I feel about him. I was his first chew toy while he was my first lover and as for Gia."
Craven's eyes flicked briefly to the mated pair closest to him and Rhett.
"She's not capable of getting too angry at me. She'll frown, cry and cling to me. I've known Gee my whole life. If it comes out, I'll deal with it then."

Craven shrugged his shoulders and smirked at a thought passing through his head before he nudged at Rhett.
"You totally have to try. You're all talk and no bite. Odion seems like he could be me and if that's the case, you're Romeo. You can do it. I'm sure of it."
Craven smirked and set his chin on the tip of Rhett's shoulder.

"Oh Rhett, You're so handsome, You'd look sooo goooooooddd with your clothes off. Please please take them off for your Odi!"
Craven put on his squeakiest voice to tease Rhett about the whole sleeping with his boyfriend part moving a hand to scratch lightly, like a kitten or puppy would, at Rhett's soaked clothes against his chest.

Rhett heavily disagreed with Craven's opinion about cheating. If he knew Odion was kissing someone else, he would consider it cheating right away, and he would never forgive him. It made him think that maybe the reason why Craven thought like that was convenience, but he knew already that Craven had indeed had sex with Romeo, therefore cheating on Gia anyway, so he couldn't find a reason behind his words besides trying to make Rhett feel better about what he had done to Adrianna, even if in reality Rhett didn't feel bad about it at all.

"Then I definitely didn't deserve that punch, did I?" He touched his shoulder softly, wondering if he would get a bruise.

The blonde could tell the tone of sadness in the other voice's words and filled the the blanks of the story with it. He felt like he should feel bad for Craven, but he couldn't quite grasped it. For a moment, he thought what it would be if he found out he only was a chew toy for Odion, but... he couldn't imagined it. It was far too obvious that Odion was way too in love with Rhett for this to be even slightly true.

"You're right." Rhett said after Craven's initial advice, words that don't usually come out of his face unless with a sarcastic tone. "Mayb..." He stopped talking as Craven's face got a little too close. This guy's quick. He thought as he listened to Craven mock him. Then again, he didn't moved back either, instead choosing to just laughing innocently, even after the brunette rubbed against his chest. "Is that what you told Romeo, then?" He continued smirking and changed his tone into an equally mocking one. "No wonder he felt for your charms, who wouldn't?"

Another lightning struck in the distance, making Rhett stare at the small window above the door and feel rather calmer as he waited for the thunder to arrive. It took some moments before the ecstatic sound arrived. The storm was most definitely going away, even if through the window they could still see how rain was poring down like crazy.

"Thanks for the conversation." He said, still looking at the window. "Is it... fine if we don't tell anybody about it?" It was an odd request, but the last thing he wanted to was for someone to find out he was asking someone else about sex, so he had to try his best, with a request, to assure it wouldn't happen. "And I won't tell anybody..." He hesitating on mentioning the Romeo business, he didn't want it to sound like a threat, taking into account it clearly was not one. "...that you're afraid of thunders." He smiled lightly, returning his eyes to Craven. "Our dirty little secret?"

Craven had slumped a bit more at Rhett's words. He now actually felt really really bad for punching the boy who wasn't really a cheater at all. He could almost not even look at Rhett. Yes Craven actually believed that kissing someone else wasn't cheating and where did he get his info from. Well Tanner of course. Who else would talk such sh*t. Even though he looked to his elder brother as an example it wasn't that simple. When he watched Tanner he learned what not to do. Mostly because A.) He knew it was wrong!, and B.) Tanner got away with the most unbelievable things.

One flash of that smooth smirk, a shrug of his shoulders and anyone would wave the 'don't-do-it-again' finger at him, only allowing Tan to, yes, do it again. But the kissing rule worked for him. He kissed Adrianna all the time. On the forehead, on the cheek, in her neck and he was sooo not interested in having her as his girlfriend. She was Adri. Pretty black eyes, veiled black hair and the sweetest smile in the world, but God would he have to walk on eggshells around her if she was his girlfriend. He'd be like.. like... Like Gia.

Of course he was right, damn it. He'd had a whole week of sleeping with Romeo. He kinda sorta knew how this worked now and it was amazing. The laughter made him grin and watch Rhett. Being close to Rhett allowed him to feel a little warmer, a little safer. Rhett wasn't afraid of the thunder that had died down to little rumbles outside and now it was only raining really hard. He heard what Rhett said and his eyes narrowed before reluctantly pulling back from Rhett and crossing his arms over his chest in defiance. Or Maybe Craven just hadn't paid attention to any thunder when Rhett was there with him since he'd felt safer.

When that thunder that had caused a distraction for Rhett struck, it caused Craven to quickly wrap his arms around Rhett's arm and sorta cling, like a frightened child. Craven quickly pulled away pretending he wasn't afraid anymore. The thunder was a bit more quiet now, that was for certain so Craven deemed it safe to go outside. He nodded at Rhett's request all the strong confident talk now vanishes as he stared at the mated pair instead. Craven blinked at the offer to keep it secret and slowly turned his own eyes to meet Rhett's.

A warm smile spread across his lips.
"What happens in the Gym storage room, stays in the gym storage room. It's just like being in Vegas."
Craven moved backward across the matts toward the wall against which they were pressed to making some fre crows hop away then when he was settled they quickly found a place ontop of him of against him.

It was kinda cool. Maybe they knew he was cold. Mayby this wasn't so bad. Half the battle always was keeping them out. That was why he had the headaches and the nose bleeds. Maybe if he let them pass thoughts and images into his head and face his own fears with them like Rhett did, he wouldn't need to be Craven, the cowardly but in fact, Craven the crow master.
"I'm staying here with them. I'll lock up and return the keys when the storm passed. I think I'm okay now."

His eyes flicked from one particular crow settled on his upper arm to the blonde near him and he gave a soft reassuring smile.
"Thank you for showing me not to be afraid."
It was about time someone showed him just how to face his fears. Tanner would have just shoved him into the storm but Rhett was the example here. He was really afraid of the birds and look, he was in a room full of them.

Contrary to what was mostly expected of Rhett, having Craven clung to his arm for the smallest of second did not bother him... much. He actually found it funny, yet not the mocking kind of funny, but a softer kind of funny. A cute kind of funny? Again, Rhett decided to not give it much thought.

"Hmm." Rhett quickly exhaled as Craven compared the storage room to Vegas. It did make sense, even if he didn't think "the sin storage room" was catchy enough of a phrase to make the comparison a little more laughable. "Great, then." He said, his cold voice back again. "Just like Vegas."

He definitely like crows. Rhett thought while watching Craven serve as support for the birds to stand in. A small frown covered his face for a second. He found it not only awkward, but highly uncomfortable, scary and probably insanitary being surrounded by the black crows like that. He did know, though, his powers were related to them, and thus it was already as natural to him as listening to a voice say random things to his head was natural to Rhett. Then again, he knew he was never going to as completely comfortable with it as Craven was with his crows.

"Ok." Rhett agreed to letting Craven alone, although he didn't believe he had mentioned or motioned something that showed he wanted to leave since before they started talking about his Romeo experience. He isn't throwing me out, is he? He shrugged the thought off. He did feel like going back to sleep now anyway, feeling already better from what had happened to with Odion a few days earlier. "Well that was gay." He said with a serious face, mocking Craven's thanks. "Bye then."

Rhett finally stood up, making sure his wet socks were in still in his pockets. Looking one last time at the boy among the crows, Rhett gave him a soft grin and walked out the door, sprinting back to the dorms almost immediately after.
