"Shitty, ain't it?" Cole asked, not expecting a reply. Taeyeon was the only girlfriend he'd had since he'd moved to Hammel. In a way he was depressed and yes, he did want to go drink it out, but he would make it through.

He looked at Zac, "As much as I'd like to, Zac, I really would rather sleep. Hell, I've been though worse. At least this time I was't the one to say that three word phrase first. Even though I hate that I'm letting it effect me so much, I can't stop it." He paused for a minute or two and took a drink of his soda that he'd been nursing.

He looked at the two of them, "I know Zac likes them, but I must ask you, Jalen, how do you feel about cars that are designed for one specific use? Say, going extremely, dangerously fast?"

In Jalen's humble opinion, JD was far superior to Zac when it came to good looks, and probably many other things, if only the blonde could know more about Zac, and she wasn't sure she wanted to know the Asian that well - ever. “I seriously doubt that...” She said, rolling her eyes. Jalen could usually handle harmless joking; even flirting, but some people just knew how to push her over the edge. "Oh I'm sorry for stepping on your toes there Zac, what's her name?" She asked the boy, seeing if maybe he did have a girlfriend, but she was pretty sure she had hit the nail on the head with that one.

Jalen's eyes were suddenly set on fire, the nickname making her eyebrow twitch. “Call me that again, and you’ll wish you’d never laid eyes on me,” she warned Zac, her elegant hands balling up into fists. If he ever so much as uttered that word around her again, she would make high pitched noises only a dog would be able to detect. Since she knew what the boy’s powers were, that would make his ears bleed. She didn’t JD to take care of her she could handle herself, and the rich one’s idiocy.

Turning her attention towards Cole, she would give almost anything to just leave with him and carry the conversation somewhere else – preferably far away from LaRousse. “It should affect you if you cared for her at all,” she said, trying not to let the bitterness of the situation affect her sympathies. Her face was flushed with a kind of rage and she blinked to clear her thoughts. “Fast cars I dig, as long as there isn’t any drinking happening while they’re being driven,” she said, not interested in being in a car accident. Her older brother happened to have a ’69 Camaro, and she loved taking it for a spin when she was home. And yes, she could drive standard.

“L.C. Milliner. You know, the girl with spikes,” said the boy in a matter-of-factly voice, smug grin on his face. He even cocked his eyebrows when he turned to Jalen, waiting to see the look of disbelief wash on her face (if it ever will, anyway). He’s fairly sure L.C. won’t appreciate him talking about her like she’s some sort of prize or anything, but he just can’t help it. (He’s certain, should the Maiden get wind of this conversation, not only would his chances go down the drain, he’d also be Swiss cheese. And that is if she gets wind of it on a good day). He just can’t stand how she (Jalen) completely undermines her skill. If JD wasn’t chasing her tail, he would’ve done something really bad to be honest. Apparently he can’t take much teasing too well.

Which only means his eyes was overcome with impish delight when Jalen threatened him. Heaven knows he never listens to threats. Especially now that he sees just how irritated she is already. “Vajayjay, vajayjay, vajayjay. There I said it. Should I expect apocalypse now or something?” Apparently Zac’s all ‘goodbye manners’ right now.

It was a good thing Cole was there with them. As insensitive as it may sound, his misfortune somehow prevented Zac from going overboard with the rude remarks he’s been giving Jalen as of late. “Dude, don’t dwell much about it. As they say, it’s her loss, not yours.” At least Zac wasn’t being pretentious; whenever he gets dumped in the past (not that he’d admit he got dumped though), he’d always tell himself that and it helps him bounce back up again. Having a massive (and twisted) ego does have its perks from time to time.

He promptly walked over Cole and gave the boy a light punch on the arm. “Dude, you totally shouldn’t sulk about her. She’s so not worth it.” He did let out a brief laugh at Cole’s inquiry and promptly butted in, saying, “Of course Jalen likes it fast. You have rode the Paerson express already after all, haven’t you?” And yes, he’s totally trying to put innuendo in it. Please slap him as hard as you want.

Cole laughed at the two of them bickering. It reminded him of the hazing on each other he and his friends did back home. It was only after she addressed his words that he snapped back to focus, "Oh, it does affect me, sweetheart, I'm just good at not letting it show hardly at all." Cole said in a quick, cold response. His voice low and downtrodden, Cole reverted quickly in order to hide it once more. "How would you feel if I told you I had a 2011 Chevrolet Firebreather?"

Then he heard Zac begin to taunt her. The Prince was just asking for trouble now, perhaps even a shot to the testicles, but Cole wouldn't be the one to do it..., yet. He merely chuckled under his breath as he knew that Jalen would retaliate one hundred fold and Cole would just sit and watch. He wouldn't offer his opinion to either side nor would he step-in unless it became a physical altercation(not that he has to worry about that)

It was then that Zac chimed in answering Cole's question in his own right. Really, Zac? He asked himself mid-thought. Zac's remark heightened Cole's alertness to the situation. Zac might've crossed the line into making Jalen a tad bit angry.

“No, not really,” Jalen said, discounting anything Zac had to say about his probable girlfriend. Really, she could care less. The boy was getting to her last nerve and unluckily for him, this wasn’t a good thing. He had pushed her patience to the limit, and the type of restraint she would have if a child were doing what he was, Zac was not going to receive. He didn’t deserve is patience, at least that’s what she thought to herself as she stood up abruptly. Especially after making remark after remark about her and JD, and calling her such an obscene nickname he should be slapped in the face – but she had a better idea. “Just because you think you own the world, doesn’t mean you get to treat people however you feel suits you best,” she said sharply, her eyes only on him.

So maybe what she did next was a little unfair, but that didn’t matter. Using her power to make the buzzing of the drink machine reverberate twentyfold, Jalen made sure no one else would hear the painstaking noise other than Zac (which included not letting the windows and other objects shatter from the soundwaves). It would be like he was stuck in a small room with nothing but a high pitched noise shrieking in his ears, and he would probably like it if it stopped. But it wasn’t going to stop, not for a little while at least. He was going to wish his eardrums would just pop already. Jalen wasn’t sure how the boy would take it due to his powers, but at the very least it would affect him like anyone else, and that was already bad enough for the poor boy. He could rest assured that he wouldn’t die from it – the only consolation.

Turning to face Cole, Jalen turned her back on Zac for a moment. “Well, I’d say that you’ve probably worked very hard for a car like that,” she said, crossing her arms in front of her as she also concentrated on keeping up the volume for Zac. Glancing behind her, she decided the Asian had had enough, and let the sound of the buzzing fridge return to normal for him. Turning back to Cole, she offered him a half smile. She would have been more cheery, but being around Zac had turned her mood sour, to say the least. “Look, I’m sorry about your loss, or whatever, but I have to go, or I will kill him,” she said simply, giving Zac one last sorry look. “It was nice meeting you,” she said finally to Cole, before making her way to leave the premise of the lounge.

As it was, all sorts of civility were thrown to the side already. Zac wasn’t planning on turning back and being all courteous and respectful to Jalen, not anymore he’s not. Maybe earlier he would’ve, but considering how their conversation turned from bad to ugly to worst, it’s far too late now. Hopefully he’d have time to atone for his actions before JD goes all Hulk on him and smash him to pieces.

He was just about to say something when the ringing started. Since it was a bit out-of-the-blue, he decided to look around, flinching slightly as he tried to stand and tolerate the sound. He felt himself unconsciously blinking faster and faster, his fists clenching on his lap as he struggled not to show visible signs of pain in his face. “Do you hear that guys?” he said, his face slowly turning red. Since he can’t hear anything in his head but that infernal ringing, he thought they couldn’t hear him too and decided to speak up. But no matter how hard he shouts, he still can’t hear himself (or so he thinks). Where is that coming from anyway?

Then he remembered what Jalen’s power is. Damn.

He was just about to walk to her and tell her to stop, but the sound has grown so loud that he can’t even walk. That it’s not only messing with his eardrum, it’s messing with his whole equilibrium too. He dropped to the floor, curling into a ball and clutching his ears tight. “Make it stop woman! Make it stop!” He knew commanding her wouldn’t do a thing (except make him suffer more) but it’s not like he can do anything. He can’t think of a decent mammal counter; he’s only heard about deaf insects and invertebrates, not mammals. If anything, almost every animal he can tap would make his hearing better.

Just when he thought he’d finally lose grip of himself and have some sort of power outburst (the animals inside him were already running wild; they’d destroyed one of his walls already), the sound stopped. Since it was just too much, it took him a good while before he can open his eyes again, much less stand up and walk. Boy was he frustrated when that blonde wasn’t beside him anymore. “Where is she Cole? Where’s that bitch?” He knew he had it coming; he was just frustrated he can’t do anything to stop it.

“Dude, I need a drink,” he said with much frustration in his voice. He wasn’t much of a drinker, but hey, if it’d help him forget the embarrassment he experience, he’d go for it. “Wanna come with?” Considering his wobbly state (equilibrium not back yet), he would need someone beside him if he even wants to make it out the door.[/justify][/blockquote]
