EVENT: The Return of The Talk

[Alice Halifax]

The commotion coming from Zac, Sidra, and JD went unnoticed by Alice and was just one of the many reasons for choosing a seat up front and so close to Sean and his always interested lecture. There wasn't any blending in as far as Alice was concerned. Sitting up front meant Sean would see her each and every time he glanced around the crowd. He wouldn't remember her name, she was sure and while that hurt her ego some, it was to be expected. Alice didn't have much interaction with Sean, if any at all to be honest. She had spoken to him a few times outside of class and had questioned him about certain things in the past sex lectures. Once or twice Alice had visited Sean's office to discuss private sexual matters and always he had been very professional. Alice had quite the respect for Sean, even if she was disappointed with his own sexual preferences. Such a handsome and distinguished specimen to be wasted on another man, but whatever floated Sean's boat, then more power to him.

Alice wasn't bigoted toward homosexuals as she herself was bisexual. She just couldn't wrap her mind around two men wanting to be together in that manner. The female body was so much more attractive than any man out there and why another man would want to play with something he already had been playing with since age twelve was beyond Alice. Two woman enjoying each other intimately made perfect sense to her though, probably because it was just Alice warping her views to justify her cravings.

Bella had been rather quite since Sean started talking, but that could have been due to several reasons. Maybe Bella was projecting multiple questions to Sean or perhaps she was very interested in what the man was teaching and how he was going about it all. Sean was quite excellent at presenting this lecture and Alice gave the older man props for managing to keep things moving as fluidly as he did year after year. Being from such an open family, Alice felt she would be quite comfortable talking about sex to such an open audience and even comfortable enough to present some of the things Sean did. However, it was the patience part she would have trouble with. Ignorance and stupidity would put anyone on Alice's bad side very quickly.

A broad smile spread across Alice's face as Sean put a water bottle up for everyone to see. Alice knew what was coming and when Sean pulled out the condom and began demonstrating how to apply one, she dropped her head momentarily and fought the urge to giggle. It wasn't the act which Sean was going through, but the thought of all those faces behind her which amused Alice. Those who were mature enough to not be plotting some third grade antics were probably squirming about in their seats by now. Looking back up, Alice fought her smile back and watched Sean intently, giving a side glance to Izzy, curious if this interested her at all. Izzy's sexual preference was obvious...to an extent. Alice was almost one hundred percent positive Izzy was a virgin, but if the young woman was attracted to men was unknown. If she was, then that was fine as it could lead to some very interesting private moments later on down the road.

[Anya Vasiliev]

Anya had been watching the little group of madness with a narrowed eye for a few moments now, finding their antics and banter particularly childish. The balloons were ridiculous, Sidra's outfit was inappropriate and Robbie was as subtle as an elephant in a hallway. That was it. Setting her crossword down, she rose, gave Sean a gentle smile as if to signify that she was aware of the problem, and began to cross over.

Oh no you don't, Zachary. She thought grimly, moving round to block the student's exit. Putting a hand on his shoulder as he zipped out the door, she arched an eyebrow. "Going somewhere, Mr. LaRousse?" She said simply, bodyblocking him from going any further. "Back to your seat." She added, pointing back into the room and shaking her head. "And detention tomorrow afternoon for being intentionally disruptive during a lecture." She added, keeping her voice stern, but quiet enough to keep Sean's voice the main one in the room.

Now LaRousse was dealt with, she just needed to sort out the motley crew of foghorns. Walking Zac back to his seat, she shook her head, nudged him in the right direction then clenched her jaw. The only way to ensure no more stupid behaviour was simple, in her mind. Imagining a bubble of power vacumn around the group, she smothered each and every power in that small radius. No more speed. No more magnetics. No more power at all. Not until after the lecture, where most of the intended would get detention.

She did lean over and take the remaining balloons from the group, and ushered them out of sight to be popped later. Bending to whisper to the troublemaker group, she eyed them all.

"I hope you can all behave yourselves for the rest of the lecture." She said in a murmur. "Or we'll be seeing how you enjoy going on litter duty for the rest of the month."

Her lips curled in a sweet smile, and Anya just looked more like a dangerous feline with every passing minute. She slipped back into her chair, ignoring the throb of a headache from throwing such a large block up. Opening up the crossword again, she glanced at Sean, nodding, before continuing.

So Jace was going to need therapy and a very long vacation by the time this was over, although only one would be doable when he was finally allowed out of this torturous place. On top of everything happening with Zac's little group, in the middle of everything his power decided, hey, I can randomly activate because you're not paying attention to me. So he was a little stuck to his seat, and had a Sidra stuck to his front, and there were some things like paper clips and pens heading in their direction. Sidra got the brunt of the barrage-of-random-magnetic-stuff, and then he found himself with lots of random metal items stuck to him, some chairs that weren't being used nearby scooting closer inch by inch. And also stuck to him was the scantily-clad, very angry Miss Cotton.

In response to her telling him to let go, he muttered back at her. "I can't, get off of me. Who the hell wears metal in their clothing anyway?"

And then, after a few moments of trying to make his power shut off, or at least figuring out how to reverse his polarization, and after Zac created some sort of further trouble again, Miss Vasiliev came marching over with Zac in her grip and indicated that he should return to his seat. Then all the metal dropped with several clinks to the floor, everything within his power range being released from the magnetic pull.

Well. As relieved as he should feel, he's mostly feeling embarrassment, not because it was the middle of the sex talk, or because Zac was right there, but because he hadn't been able to make his Magnetism shut off on his own. He was intent on graduating next year, and that was only going to happen if he got his Magnetic qualities under control. If he didn't get decapitated by a folding chair first.

[JD Paerson]

"Wait, no, Zac!" JD hissed fruitlessly as soon as the apparent orders had been issued. He'd been about to insist on a distraction, but before he could say anything the moron was up and heading toward the door. Gritting his teeth, the speedster ducked down low between the seats and made his way toward the opposite end of the aisle.

He was muttering to himself the whole way. "Idiot is going to get us all in trouble, bet he didn't even think any of this through, he never manages to come up with a whole plan on his own, should've run this by someone to make sure it was all going to work..." He knew he was supposed to go grab a large cannon from the billionaire's room and meet everyone backstage but had no idea what was going to happen about that. He felt most upset, it had to be admitted, that he hadn't been told the full extent of the plan, even if that was probably because no one else really knew what was going on.

"Sorry, bathroom, excuse me," he said as he shuffled out along the row. He stayed bent over, trying not to attract as much attention and to not get in people's way if they actually wanted to see what was on the screen. He didn't care much, of course, but some people were actually interested. Well, that was their choice, of course.

Squeezing out the other end, he stood and looked across to see how the others had gotten. All he caught a glimpse of was Zac being marched back to his seat by Ms. Vasiliev.

"Great," he muttered, rolling his eyes. "Now what?" He was tempted to just head back to his seat and not mess with anything, since it looked like the whole set-up was going to fail anyway. But he didn't want to look like a complete idiot after just sliding past a whole row of people saying he was going to the bathroom. He might as well go fetch the stupid cannons and set them up backstage before heading back to his spot.

So he ducked out one of the side doors and raced off to pick up the stage props and ran them back--one under each arm--and around to the stage entrance in a back hallway. He set them down, wondering if he should try to set them inside or if he should just go back to his seat now. Let someone else worry about the rest of the plan, whatever it was. He'd done his part, right?

Finally, after a few somewhat-subtle attempts to press their ankles together, skin made contact, and Evan jumped. That was not part of Levi's plan, of course, so he rolled his eyes slightly. If they were supposed to be subtle about being together, jumping out of his seat during the sex ed lecture wasn't going to do much good. He offered his boyfriend a small smile and nudged his foot over again.

What, was playing footsie in a crowded auditorium a bad idea?

He giggled slightly when he noticed the nipples on the ridiculous balloons Zac carried in, but other than that, he mostly let his mind wander, taking in whatever his power told him about the classmates surrounding them and trying not to think too hard about the lion on the stage.

The lion on the stage who was a terrifying, physical manifestation of G-d. Yeah, Levi had a good reason for not wanting to be there. He knew what M.S.A.D. had done wasn't exactly ethical, and it skirted morality as well. Their cause was noble, but their methods were less so. And he tried to be faithful--he really did--but there was a reason the boy avoided the psychiatrist as much as he did. He was there because Evan had wanted him to come. That was enough.

That should have been enough.

Turning around to see Sidra's rack after she burst Zac's balloon was a slight bonus too. He hadn't noticed her come in.... After slightly too much time spent staring, he turned back around and went back to trying to make some kind of physical contact with Evan.

By the time the condom demonstration rolled around, Levi was fidgeting in his chair, bothering the people on either side. He didn't care so much about condoms either, since both he and Evan had been virgins before and now they weren't fooling around with anyone else.

[Zachary LaRousse]

Detention?!

Zac could not believe what he just heard. For a good second or two, he simply stood in front of the power suppressor, mouth agape and eyes staring straight at Anya in disbelief. Normally he’d argue and all, but before he can even speak, he was being ushered to his seat, power drained away from him. Oh how he hates power suppressors. Not feeling a thing from his ‘animal friends’ is such a weird feeling. It’s a whole lot worse than having his arm cut off he says – it makes him so sick that he could probably pass out.

But no. He can’t. Not when he has revenge to extract.

A smirk crept on his face when he saw that JD wasn’t around. Guess he got out the other way. Good. The plan isn’t over just yet. If they’re going to give him detention, might as well give it to him for something explosive, not something as childish as bringing balloon boobs to the talk.

Yo Midget. Time to work your magic. You just need to buy me at least five seconds. Mr. Tonaya’s fucktoy is such a bitch.

Pressing send, he promptly crossed his legs and waited. Guess Mia not sitting with them was a smart move after all. He could just hope Anya’s range doesn’t reach unto her. He’s hoping a distraction would make her turn her backs on them for a moment, giving him just a few seconds to grab Robbie and dash out of the room.

And if worse comes to worse, he’s pretty sure he and Robbie can still outrun Anya.

“Robbie, at the count of three, ok?” he whispered to the blonde. They would succeed. They should and they would.

[Mia Keystone]

Zac was an idiot. Mia disliked him intensely. However, he was rich. And he was paying her. A lot.

However, when he walked in with balloon breasts she honestly thought she’d explode. Did the idea of subtly mean nothing to him? For most of the talk, Mia had managed to keep a low profile. There had been no comments about what Sean was doing with a picture of a vagina, nor any questions about if he actually knew what they looked like in person.

Besides, she’d made all of those comments last year, where she had alternated between making wisecracks to see how much Jonah could blush, and to see how long it would take to get kicked out.

When Zac had approached Mia about their plan, she had told him to get the fuck out of her face. Then, he reminded her he could pay her. A lot.

That changed things. There was a lot Mia was prepared to do for ten grand, and there was very little she would not do for one hundred grand. He’d started at fifty, but Mia had haggled. It wasn’t like LaRousse had any concept of the value of money anyway.

Still, when she got the text it was hard not to just tell him to go fuck himself with a wooden spoon dipped in arsenic. Think of the money. Still, she couldn’t write much in case an insult slipped out.

Starting now.

Whoever had been assigning seats, or supervising seats, had missed the hidden danger of having the destructive technopath sitting beside the projector. Glancing around quickly, Mia faked a yawn and managed to rest the pinkie of her left hand against the machine. It was more then enough.

Sean’s slides were instantly replaced by a whole new array of images. Her hidden cameras had done their work, and besides, this way, the students could see how it was really done. By some of their own.

Watching with a satisfied smirk, Mia watched as Moe and Vincent mid coitus was splashed across the screen, then, and this was an interesting one, Rhys and Sawyer. Lukas and Andie in the pool, and that got a few groans because people swam in that. As well as full on sex pictures, (there were only a few of Zac, as he had said he’d rather he was left out) there were plenty of all the Hammel couples locking lips in the most unexpected of places.

That good enough for you? she texted back to Zac with a thought, her hands now stuffed in her pockets as she smirked to himself.

“Hello Robbie, please take a seat,” the telepath replied, when the young weather manipulator arrived late, as was to be expected because it was Robbie, and then with the interruption and the crude innuendo, because it was Robbie and there was an audience. It didn’t get a rise out of Sean because it was a minor interruption and only a single lewd comment; he had seen far worse at this lecture, had seen far worse within recent memory.

The psychiatrist had just finished his condom demonstration when Anya deactivated the abilities of the Zac’s group, which was for the best and greatly appreciated. He needed no further disruptions, not when most of the students were already uncomfortable. At least Jeffrey was no longer projecting; Sean was grateful for that as well, although primarily for the boy’s sake as opposed to anyone else’s.

However, the telepath was perfectly comfortable because he prepared himself mentally for whatever the students might throw at him. And his patience wasn’t to be confused with condonation; he simply forged onward because that was his job and he preferred to do this himself than let them learn from incorrect sources. Thus he went into the STI portion of the lecture, speaking factually and cautioning the need for protection, since this wasn’t an abstinence lecture. He did, however, caution everyone to only have sex when they were ready and interested. That was the segue into the consent portion of his lecture, where he emphasized that it wasn’t a matter of “no means no” but rather “yes means yes,” because the default was no sex unless a clear consent, not sex unless there was a clear objection.

With the regular portion of the lecture finished, he moved on to the question and answer portion. He picked up the sheet of paper with the questions and started with the simple ones first. “One of the questions I received is about metahuman powers and biology. Specifically it is whether human shape-shifters can affect their reproductive capacity, which is a simple no. While the outer body changes in human shapeshifters, their inner reproductive system does not change along with them. Thus a male shapeshifter cannot become pregnant while in a female form, and vice versa. Certain powers will have an effect on copulation, such as enhanced stamina and flexibility, as I’m sure you can imagine.

“We also have a biology question, which is what is used to create seminal fluid and how semen is produced. While this is something I think you should be able to discuss with your biology teacher, I can understand the impulse not to. Semen is produced in a virile male when the sperm in his testicles travels through the ejaculatory ducts,” the psychiatrist traced the path on his chart with the laser pointer as he explained. “There it mixes with fluid from the seminal vesicles, the bulbourethral glands, and the prostate. In addition to sperm, it is compromised mostly of fructose, although the differentiation between sweet, salty, and bitter depends on the man’s diet and which taste buds are in contact with it.”

He had said that. He’d always promised a candid lecture which included the reality of sexual activities that others engaged in. “There is also dihydrotestosterone, which is what makes it look white, and then other acids, enzymes, proteins, and lipids.”

That was his biology for the moment, and now it was time to move on to law. “We also have a question about the age of consent. If anyone here isn’t aware, the age of consent in Vermont is sixteen. This means you cannot legally consent to sex with an adult until you are sixteen. Otherwise, this would be classified as statutory rape. However, there is an exemption for someone fifteen years old, which allows him or her to have sex with someone between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. This means that any fifteen-year-olds having sex with a slightly older student partner need not worry about legal consequences to their partners.”

The telepath then moved on to a discussion about the different sexual orientations and how they were all equally valid and one couldn’t get bogged down in stereotypes, not about orientations or about genders. He was careful not to look at the person who had asked the question, and he knew who it was despite the anonymity, but instead addressed the group at large. “…and in short, bisexuality, or pensexuality is just like any other orientation. It doesn’t mean you’ll have sex with anything that moves. It only means that in varying degrees, you are attracted to men and women and to genderqueer individuals or others who don’t fit into the gender binary. Let’s not confuse conduct with orientations.”

And just as the psychiatrist was moving on to the question of biting and his standard “different strokes for different folks” response, the projector came alive with highly personal photographs of different couples, mostly students although the ones of Rhys and Sawyer was concerning for different reasons, engaged in sexual activities. If the telepath had less impulse control, he might have smashed the projector, as a way of disposing of the footage faster and sparing humiliation to everyone involve. But he had and thus he didn’t. But he did set down the sheet. The source of these pictures was obvious and he glanced at Mia in the aisles. And then at Zac, who had been orchestrating disruptions all day.

This was what he didn’t condone. The invasion of privacy, the humiliation of other people. Calmly, because he was calm despite the fact that he was displeased, he said aloud, “Miss Keystone, you are dismissed. I also hope that you understand that federal law defines anyone under the age of eighteen as a minor, and anyone who records minors having sex and distributes such records is guilty of federal felonies punishable by decades in prison. Miss Vasiliev, if you would be so kind as to escort Miss Keystone to the main office?”

He then sent a telepathic message to one of the staff technopaths to pull the power and to do another sweep of her room. Facing the group at large, he said, “Everyone try to remain calm while this is sorted out. And Mister LaRousse? I’ll see you after this lecture as well.”

[Robbie Wilkes]

Returning Zac's hug, he waved again at JD before giving Dr. Neville another thumbs up. Today was going to be easy breezy. He knew what he had to do and all he needed to do was-

-shit, Miss Vasiliev had caught on quickly. "Ooof, burn." Robbie clapped a hand over his lips when Zac got busted. But Robbie did get a glance just as JD ran off. Okay so phase two was already in full speed. Pun totally intended.

He listened intently as Dr. Neville spoke about...semen? Interesting. But not as interesting as Zac's count. "Oh yeah. Wait wait." He put his hand up, waving it around for Dr. Neville to take notice and once the psychiatrist looked over at him, Robbie sat up straight and coughed a little to project his voice further in the auditorium.

"So yeah, we've covered attraction and stuff and like how semen is produced right? So when are we going to cover kinks? Like, yeah we're all informed about the logistics and stuff right? I don't know about everybody else but what if attraction isn't enough?" Robbie asked, ignoring the stares he was getting before barrelling on. "Like, people can be attracted to someone but only if that person had like...a kink the other person was into? Like I wiki'd kinks and there were some pretty out there kinks. So I was wondering, Dr. Neville. You like sharing. What are your kinks?"

Robbie's idea was everywhere and even he knew it but at least he got to the point. He was very much interested in Dr. Neville's answer until phase three commenced and it. was. glorious. He surprisingly didn't see himself in the collection and even if he did, he probably would have just laughed his arse off, wondering how Mia got it at all.

"Okay...okay Zac come on. DISTRACTION UP!" Robbie whispered and grabbed Zac's hand, dropping down to the floor and crawling off to the aisle and zipping away backstage.

"Hey pretty." Robbie grinned at the younger girl in charge of the PA system. "So, what does it take for me to get you to play a sound clip on loop for me?" The girl bit her lower lip before giggling. "Where's the sound clip?" She looked from Robbie to Zac to Robbie again with a little giggle.

[Anya Vasiliev]

Anya could feel her ire rising as the troublemakers continued to upset the rest of the lecture. Trying not to snap, she took a deep breath, and rose. Misato - who had been sitting in the back row, bolted at the picture of him and Vincent, tears in his eyes. That was entirely uncalled for, and she did nothing to chase down the tiny teen - he deserved to escape to have that intimacy broken.

When Sean asked her to escort Mia from the premises, she nodded and guided the girl from the Auditorium. Once outside, she put her hands on her hips. "I'd ask you if you were proud of yourself for that, Miss Keystone, but we both know that answer to that." She said quietly, fixing her most disappointed look on her face. "You're a talented student, I don't see why you have to do this." She added. "I'll be blocking your power during school time for the next week or so, till you learn to be responsible with it. Go." She pressed her fingers to her temples, then slipped back into the room.

The sneaking of the other students wasn't unnoticed and she frowned, just catching the retreating shadow of Mr. Wilkes as he moved backstage. Looking over at Sean with a sigh that said Why do we not have corporal punishment in schools any more? She disappeared out to backstage area, and tailed them silently, not making her presence known until the tape was produced.

"Mr. Wilkes. Mr. LaRousse." She said quietly. "And Miss Myers." Leaning over, she snatched the tape, then dropped it to the floor and stomped one pointed heel on it. "Litter duty. All week. Power privileges removed." Her voice was cold and angry, but controlled. "And, I want you, AND Mr. Paerson to write an apology to all the people on Mia's projection. I'll be calling your parents and informing them of this." Her eyes narrowed and she bent over to take the crushed tape from under her foot.

"Congratulations boys." Anya added dryly, before turning on her heel and motioning for the two boys to follow her.

She really hoped Sean would have a stiff drink for her after this disaster. She almost preferred Vincent's nudity and Emma's sex toys to this.

[Zachary LaRousse]

While Robbie’s question was rather amusing and surprisingly relevant (not that Zac pins Robbie as a dumb blonde, but the boy can be a little dense and out of place at times), the pompous teen didn’t have much time to appreciate it, much less anticipate the good doctor’s answer. As it was, right after the weather manipulator finished his question, Zac felt his phone vibrate. He didn’t need to read the message though to know that it came from Mia, telling him that the deed has been done.

And boy was it glorious.

The screams and groans that erupted all around were enough to make him snicker in satisfaction. A hundred grand was a little too steep considering how little effort (he thinks) Mia needs to exert to do her part, but seeing how wonderful the result was, it was well worth it. He could’ve even paid her half a million and still feel like it was money well spent.

(Interestingly enough, catching a glimpse of himself – he didn’t have time to enjoy all of the display after all – in the technopath’s distraction didn’t faze him out. Not only were the photos limited, they weren’t as intense as those caught on, say, Levi and Evan – who apparently are an item – or Andi and Luke. Heck, the one with Rhett and Talen looked a whole lot more scandalous than any of his combined).

Crawling wasn’t definitely his preferred method of getting to the sound booth, but hey, it worked. “God Robbie, is this your way of showing me how big your butt is?” he laughed, slapping it as they went backstage. Zac simply shook his head on how easily Robbie got Gina to do her bidding. Even he could attest that that was quick.

He had just handed the tape over and was ready to get out of the booth and rendezvous with JD when Ms. Vasiliev came into view, making him step back. Even before she spoke, the mimic had realized that all hopes of helping unleash the final stage of their prank was toast, so he sent a quick text.

Dude. Tonaya’s bitch suddenly appeared and has me and Wonder Woman stuck. Just press the release buttons on the cannon. I’ve already loaded the goods on it last night. Do it or I’ll kill you. MWAH.

“Litter duty? I thought we’re only getting detention?” He tried to sound shocked, surprised and angry, just so he’d be believable. Sure his dad will fume when he hears what his son has done, but hey, it was all worth it.

He’d gladly do it again really.

[Evan Brackett]

Still primarily relying on his peripheral vision, Evan gave his boyfriend a once over. He noticed the smile and the repeated attempts at contact, and finally caught on to what Levi was doing. His confusion faded, the frown replaced by a mischievous grin as he slid his foot closer to the other boy. Good idea? No, but that didn't make it any less fun.

It was sort of a mindless activity, and while he was retaliating against his boyfriend with his own ankle, Van's attention drifted back to the stage to quietly listen to Dr. Neville as he had before. As for everything else going on behind him, he was trying very hard to ignore it. It wasn't all that difficult for him to block out the conversation going on, because he wasn't all that curious about anything LaRousse was up to. He didn't even bother to look back at the sound of the popping balloon. The annoying tug on his wrist was less easy to ignore, but his watch managed to stay on, so he didn't worry about it. He spared Robbie a glance, however, smirking at the familiar face but blushing at his antics.

The biology discussion wasn't completely new to him. While he found the information on shifters interesting, the general reproductive system information had been covered in the biology class he had taken years ago.

Evan leaned in as consent came up, a brief moment of terror showing on his face when the psychiatrist said the age was sixteen. This was, of course, exactly what he didn't want to hear. The thought of going back to prison (for a far worse offense this time) terrified him, and he found himself letting out a sigh of relief as he learned about the exception. With that being cleared up, the rest of the discussion fell back into things he wasn't quite as worried about, and honestly he was starting to space out a bit. The sudden gasps and hisses from the audience were hard to miss, though, and he was suddenly aware of Mia's little distraction up front.

If he were wiser, Evan would have averted his eyes when the first picture appeared on the projector. Instead, he stared wide-eyed at the projections, the color drained from his face and his jaw clenched as he waited to see the photo he dreaded seeing. Of course he knew that living with Mia meant she had pictures of him and Levi--she probably would have had pictures anyway, considering that she obviously had them of half the school in action. Actually seeing it up there was worse than he had imagined, and he regretted not looking away instead. This was worse than one of his nightmares coming true. At least black mail was involved in his nightmares, where he could pretend to have an option and do something to prevent the public humiliation.

As the picture flicked away to be replaced by another, equally disturbing snapshot of another couple, Evan covered his face with his hands. He definitely did not want to see anymore of the victims, but he was hiding more out of shame. Presently, the phaser wasn't considering the other people in the room and how they were equally violated by their own images flicking across the screen, just that everyone now knew that he and Levi were more than just friends and that that information was more likely to make it back to his parents. He slumped in his chair, sliding closer to the floor, all the while wishing he could just disappear.

Wish granted.

As his heart sank, so did the rest of him, through the chair he was sitting in as well as the floor. The next thing he knew, he was colliding with a lab bench, the sound of breaking glass surrounding him as various beakers, flasks, and cylinders slid out from under him. He had landed on his back, a sharp crack accompanying his landing, and he continued to lay there for a long moment, dazed, disoriented and staring at the basement ceiling. He was going to be sick.

She’d been caught. How unexpected. Not. With a roll of her eyes, Mia rose to her feet at Dr Neville’s command and turned towards the noisy crowd of students and bowed. His warnings about prison rolled off like water off a duck’s back; what a load of shit. He always did like to throw in the prison card. Didn’t he get that she really had stopped finding that scary when she’d turned 15? There was actually a smattering of applause: the students who HADN’T been seen, she expected.

Still, she followed Anya out without so much as batting an eyelid, gazing at her blankly as the teacher started the whole “I’m disappointed” routine. Sharp eyes widened at the powers comment, and her mouth opened to protest, but then she shut it with a snap and just glared. Whatever. They couldn’t take Kaylee again, and if they tried to sic another monster on her she’d sue them so hard Dr Neville would wish for prison, just to get away from her.

Well, at least this way she could find out who the new principle was.

Obviously, the consent question was Levi's. He'd done some research on it himself, and that was the conclusion he had come to, but one of the pages he'd read hadn't mentioned the caveat. Perhaps that would have been a better question to ask privately, because if the exception for fifteen-year-olds hadn't existed, Evan wouldn't have touched him again until January. The next topic of discussion was also from a question Levi had asked. He slid slightly down into his chair as Dr. N spoke about different orientations, trying not to catch anyone's eye. He wasn't gay like Evan. He didn't know what he was, and he honestly didn't care so much. It hadn't bothered him until he realized how much people disliked Vincent. (How much Evan disliked Vincent.) Yeah, Levi wasn't attracted to everything that moved, but it seemed like he was attracted to anyone.

He was so busy trying not to be noticeable, he didn't listen to Dr. N. It took a loud gasp from behind him to get him to look up, just in time to see the screen fill with the image of him and Evan. Naked and.....

The two boys had debated writing a note to ask if they could get Mia in trouble if they could prove she'd been spying on them. But there was no way to word that question to Dr. N without revealing that they were talking about their roommate. They'd decided not to, since they really couldn't have proven it. They could now.

He turned to make that comment to his boyfriend, but only managed to get the first sound out, because Evan's head had just fallen through his seat. Levi knew what the older boy's reaction to using his power was, so he jumped up and ran outside, brushing past the teacher there.

JD had absolutely no idea what was going on in the auditorium. He'd been on the other side of the school while it was happening, and while he had thought Mia might provide a good distraction he'd had no idea what sort of distraction she might come up with. All he knew was that one moment he was leaning against the door near the backstage entrance and the next moment doors were being flung open and people were being marched into the hallway.

He did the only natural thing and ran as quickly as he could to a hiding place on the other side of the building. In a bathroom. Where he would have a perfectly good excuse if he were found outside of the assembly (so long as no one tried to read his mind or question him too hard). He was pacing and wondering what step he should take next when his phone went off. Glancing over the text, he had to resist the urge to bang his head against a wall.

Everyone else was caught, the entire plan had fallen through, and it was bad enough that Zac didn't think he could even sneak away for a short moment to pull the strings himself. While he had no idea what the situation was exactly, he knew that he now had the decision of whether to actually pull off the stunt or not.

If Ms. Vasiliev was out of the room, then she couldn't be suppressing his powers, which meant he could probably sneak in and out before anyone else noticed and try to get back to his seat. And fake innocence. Because surely that would work.

He left the bathroom casually, purposely not looking to see if anyone else was around. And, casually, he went to the back door of the auditorium and let himself in. He stepped up to the cannon, pulled the cord, and let fly various sex-related paraphernalia, from genitalia-inspired jewelry to actual sex toys. He then dashed out the door again, hoping to make it around the corner and back into the auditorium before he could be caught.

"One of these days I'll kill LaRousse," he muttered under his breath. "And then maybe he'll learn how to actually plan things instead of flying in without thinking." And so, thoughts full of murder and pain, he zoomed around toward the other door.
