Mia walked into the auditorium. She finally found it; after having to ask like twenty people, (more like only two). She walked down to the stage. She was feeling a bit sad, having been thinking about her session with Dr. Neville, and writing all about it in her journal. She wasn’t looking forward to the next session, but she wouldn’t miss it either. She found it easy to talk to him, she wondered if that was because of the certain questions he asked and how he asked them. Mia didn’t think he really cared about her problems and often wondered why he even became a psychiatrist.
Mia stopped in front of the stage and looked at it. She missed singing in front of a bunch of people and just rocking out; hoping someone in the crowd was actually relating to her songs and hoping that they were helping someone. She walked up on the stage, and looked out to the many empty seats and sighed heavily. It was one thing she missed, the rush she felt being on stage singing in front of a crowd, it was a safe natural rush. There wasn’t a chance something was going to go wrong and you were going to die; like sky driving (which she really wanted to try just not alone).
She took a microphone from one of the stands and turned the cordless mic on. She walked toward the edge of the stage and sat down, sitting on her one leg that was bended under the leg that was hanging off stage that she had swinging. She placed her bag next to her, and took the strap off her shoulder. She started singing ‘conversation with a rock star’ by icon for hire. It was just a warm up song.
