Just What the Dr. Ordered (Open)

“It’s okay.” Dani replied, thinking there was no need to apologize about the coldness, for all she knew, it was a common side effect of being treated. As soon as she got a chance, and before the doctor put her splint on, Dani inspected her arm carefully, moving it ever so slightly and touching it with her other hand softly. It still hurt, yes, but it was in much less pain than before.
Once the doctor returned with the splint, Dani stopped playing with her arm and let the doctor do her work. She winced slightly when sliding her arm into the splint, but overall it was more sore than anything. Once the doctor finished, Dani stood, wondering how having one arm immobilized would affect her balance.
“Okay, I will.” Dani said with a nod, figuring she’d return right after her last class. That wasn’t so hard to do. And maybe during lunch she could try to dance aga--. Darn. Dancing wasn’t considered reckless though, right? The teen thought for a second, and decided maybe it was better to not. “Yes ma’am.” She replied with a nod. She gave a little bow, another thing her grandfather drilled into her head, “Thank you very much.”
