Halloween Dance!

Callie's words rang true to Ravyn, although she knew she was still talking about Cameron. "Yeah," she agreed, simply and quietly. She had sort of changed in the past for people, but she was done doing that now. She gave Callie's shoulder a squeeze, turning back to smile at her. "I'm just glad he looks happy."

Ravyn flared her wings in and out rhythmically to the beat, listening to her advice. In a way, maybe it was good Noah had fallen asleep before he could hear her confess her feelings - she would just have to be more upfront about it, and make sure he knew just how much he meant to her. "I'll keep that in mind," she nodded, beginning to think up of how to bring the subject up again with him. But she would give herself some time alone first - and let him see how he continued to get along with Valerie, even if it made her heart ache.

"Thank you," she replied with obvious relief. That was one less thing she needed to think about. Ravyn smiled at her again - Callie was just full of sweetness, wasn't she? "I really appreciate it," she told her, slowly coming to a stop as the song died down. "And I'm sure Noah does, too. We all gotta look out for each other, right?" That's when the fireworks shot of, and Ravyn flinched, eyes widening as she watched them arch across the ceiling. A moment later, she grinned and laughed. "I love Hammel!" she declared, just as the next song began to play - AH! Animal!! She had to go grab Noah, pronto.

"I owe Noah a dance," she explained to Callie, grasping her hand lightly and tugging her in the direction towards the blonde and Mia. "Want to come?" She eagerly made her way over to them, both of whom seemed a little distracted with the fireworks. "Nooooah~" she sang out, opening her arms wide. "It's time!" She knew he would understand, and hopefully Mia was still cool with this happening.

Mia caught her breath when Noah leaned in. “Oh.. I like it too.” She said with a sheepish smile. She really hadn’t been listening to the song, too caught up in with other things. She felt bad though, for not hearing him the first time.

The pink haired girl looked over to Ravyn when she called his name. She looked at Noah, smiled sheepish before hesitantly moving away from the blonde. She looked at the ground and then back at Noah. “Have fun.” She bowed her head slightly, and then looked around. There really wasn’t anyone here she knew, so she just went to sit down. Mia couldn’t say she was all fine with it, it was kind of like Ravyn was stealing her date but it was a dance, Ravyn and Noah were friends so why shouldn’t they dance together. She sighed as she sat down and just watched everyone dance. She saw Kouji and smiled, a little worried about why he was here with someone else; not that she minded but just wondering why.

Nanami hated parties, and it was utterly pointless to go to one where you didn't know anybody there. It was even more pointless when you had no intention to socialize in the first place.

Why then was she here?

For one thing, she had nothing better to do. It was a good enough reason, but it wasn't the only one. The truth was, she liked dancing and wished she could do it. But the thought of dancing in front of other people was crippling.

She had made the effort of putting on a dress. It was the fanciest one she had kept, the light pink dress with the plaited skirt and the red flowers running diagonally across her stomach. She covered it up with a pink shawl though, because it she felt cold. There was no knowing why she put in the extra effort, but it had just happened somehow, impulsively.

She arrived late, leaning against the wall and allowed herself to watch the other students interact, for once wishing she had the guts to be among them.

Cee shrugged his shoulders and gestured back to his appearance. “This isn’t really a fantastic costume either, but I can’t help enjoying it anyways. Other than the, um, boots.” He tapped his heels together in a purely Dorothy-no-place-like-home fashion, grinned at her. She was blushing. Was that a good sign? Women who didn’t like him didn’t tend to blush. Or it wasn’t even liking—it was women who found him weird who didn’t blush. So far this was a good sign.

“Really?” He brightened. “It’s my premiere teaching position too. Or at least, teaching here. I’ve taught before but not extensively. I teach computers.” He glanced over at her and noticed the hands clasped in front of her. “Do you, um, like to dance?”

Haven nodded at his question. “I do…I’m just not very good at it.” She wondered if he was going to offer her a dance. She would be quite embarrassed but she’d feel more inclined if he asked. “Do you like to dance?” She asked, returning the question in kind.

She gazed out at the students. Ever the responsible one, Haven knew the true motive of tonight was to watch the kids and make sure they didn’t kill themselves. They looked okay, from what Haven could see however. She saw Sean on the floor weaving in and out of kids, monitoring them and she had seen the passing frame of Chase Campbell in the midst, so she figured the kids were in safe disciplinary hands for now.

She looked back at Cee. “Computers? Maybe you can help fix my laptop sometime. Every time I try to go online it sends me an error message.” Haven meant this honestly, after all, it would be a good excuse to see Cee again after this dance. From what Jack Maguire said Cee was a really fun person. And she liked him already.

Then, abandoning her own embarrassment she took charge (albeit she said this as quiet as a mouse and held out her hand very timidly) “Would you like to dance?”
