Adrianna clung to him tight, and wrapped her arms around his neck. To some people, Venn in this form was scary, but to her, this was normal. It was her Venny and she knew him well enough not to be afraid. She knew he’d never hurt her, not in a million years. As they went back to the auditorium, she just kept her face pressed against his shoulder. It wasn’t until they were back at the stage, that she risked a glance up at him. They were both a wreck. So emotionally unstable when it came to each other, yet they both could fix the other’s problem with just a few simple words.
His fingers brushed across her cheeks and her eyelids fluttered shut. Her hand held his pressed against her face for a few moments, but she released him shortly after. Adri looked up at him, her eyebrows pulling together in the middle. His words had her frowning and she shook her head. “No, Venn. There’s nothing wrong with you…I shouldn’t have said it like that. I should have told you in a different way, or maybe strapped you down or something,” she said with a short laugh.
Adrian sat with him, soothed by his touch and thankful that all destructive behavior had been stopped before anything too bad happened. She took his hand and held it in both of hers. “You don’t have to worry about me so much ya’know. I mean, I’ve gotten stronger,” Adri looked up at him. “If I tell you something…something that upsets you, just think of something, anything that makes you happy. Something that would calm you down in an instant. It might help, at least, that’s something I’ve read about.”
