It was laughable. Being told that the other boy was dangerous. And that no one could handle him. The sheer fact that the words were coming from him was amusing. He spoke highly of himself, and Carter didn't speak at all. No details were given about himself. But Leiken gave details. Minor, but they were there. Carter smirked but stayed silent, basking in the words given to him. He waited. When the guy was finished, he cleared his throat.

"You know, the easiest way to tell when someone is full of shit is when they feel the need to talk themselves up." Carter replied, his tone completely nonchalant. Words like that normally carried malice or arrogance. Carter remained constantly aloof. And uncaring. He tossed both rocks, guiding them with the gentle roll of his wrist to have them skim the surface three times before dropping away.

He dusted his hands off, though they were perfectly clean. His hands slid carefully into his pockets and he turned on to the side, still keeping his eyes on him. "I'll believe it when I see it. If you ever get the chance to show me."

"You think I'm full of shit? Oh well. A pity i could care less. " he stated while pulling at the scarf around his neck. It was a bit uncomfortable in the way it brushed his skin while throwing stones, but no matter. It was there for a reason and would remain there until he felt it needed to be removed.

Leiken didn't hesitate in his movements as he turned toward the other man. Approaching him step by step until he stood but inches from him, staring to him with a half-hidden exression of amusement, "You can also tell when someone is full of shit when all they do is talk and leave no room for action." Lei's leaf-green eyes stared at the man as he pulled his own scarf down from his face. Exhaling a warm breath to the air.

The fogged air giving a clearer path for his voice to ring out than the scarf that had muffled it before. "If I really wanted that chance I could have it." he stated with a challenging tone; despite his placid expression.

"Oh, did I say that?" Carter asked, his tone clearly mocking, "I was merely stating a fact." It could be taken in many ways, and it was taken exactly how Carter assumed it would be.

Carter stopped walking when he realised he was coming at him. He paused, turned and stood with his hands in his pockets and his spine upright. There was no slouching for a Chevalier, even when they were clearly this bored. "Can you?" He asked, again mockingly as his head tilted curiously to one side.

"Tsk tsk tsk." The sound dropped out of his mouth as his lips curled into a smirk. The ground beneath his feet began to vibrate; accentuated by the emotion the blonde boy was feeling. A little excitement. "Oh dear, but now I'm guarded. And we both know how much fun that isn't."

Lei smirked faintly in amusement, "You're very easy to read. Almost... predictable it was an easy puzzle to piece together." He mocked the other man. Finding their whole meeting rather entertaining to say the leasat.

Lei gave a lazy expression to the other male, "Oh I can, but being so predictable is rather boring. I'd rather not spend my time with boring company."

Lei's eyes trailed the other male's form rather visibly as his scarf dangled loosely over his shoudlers pulled untied by those attentive fingers. He had the fingers of a pianist, they were good for more than just music, or so he had been told in the past. Though he wouldn't toot his own horn about it or anything of the sort.

He felt the ground vibrating near him, oh that was a neat little effect, he wondered how useful such an effect could be. Though he tried not to let his thoughts reflect in his expression as he shifted his foot forward, leaning toward the other man, drawing his face near to the other man's own. "I lied." he stated in an exhaled breath. Allowing the minty breeze to trail the other man's lips though he did not touch them, instead he moved backward, giving the man that playful smirk more visibly.

He would attempt to move past the other man, was he going to leave, or did he just want to tease the other man further? It would all come to light soon enough.

"Ironic." Carter replied, and that was all he said. Further irony came from his next statement; Carter was leaving for that very same fact. He had to wonder why Lei was trying to keep him there. The basis was boring within itself.

Carter dropped an amused sound from his closed mouth. Closeness like this wasn't something he flinched over. It was a regular occurrence for him; "I didn't." He replied simply, sliding his form to the side and walking by without a touch or a care. After all, he was the one who sought to leave first. Really, Lei was just copying him.

And there was no prize for unoriginality.

"Is it? I would say more so hypocritical." he mused toward the other man as he stopped in his steps just behind the other man as he was allowed to pass. His head tilting back a bit as he spoke to him. His own ability felt the pulse within the other man, the movement of that blood within him, it snaked within following the flow of that blood.

Lei exhaled softly as he tried not to let his ability get away from him, but that man was almost irritatingly predictable. his ability would attempt to stop that pulse completely for a single moment before rushing it forward in a pace that matched his own until it pushed further. Though leiken fought it down as much as he could, not wanting to over do it. Or let the other male in on the fact that he was doing it.

Leiken sought nothing, if he wanted it, he would have it. That was all there was to it. He was manipulative for a reason after all. He usually got what he wanted. And when he didn't he labeled it as something that wasn't worthy of him to begin with. "A pity you're so cliche."

The blonde decided not to talk, because he was too reveled in the irony that was being called predictable. Perhaps it was not actually being predictable, but an act of it? There was the irony. But Leiken didn't see that, and Carter knew as such.

Then he felt a feeling. Something he couldn't describe, and something he knew was not of his form. And that, in a sense, flickered something in his system.

Carter's body might have been manipulated, but his mind was not. He felt the movements where Lei had stopped throughout the ground; the vibrating effect he created in his mind as he forced a grin as he continued walking. The ground underneath and around Lei dropped away, falling out and digging in to the sides to essentially drop him into a hole.

"Sorry I'm so boring." He teased, never breaking his stride. Whatever the guy's powers were, Carter doubted they had the range of the earth.

It was almost disappointing, for a minute, maybe just a minute he had believed the other man would have been entertaining. That he would have been fun play with. However, it had turned out he wasn't as interesting as he had thought.

That is until he found himself in a hole. When he felt the ground move beneath him it broke his placid expression entirely. 'Shit' he thought to himself having forgotten about that little factor of the other man. As the ground parted he tried to jump out of the way, but he was not very athletic to begin with.

He stumbled, falling into the hole, his hands grasping at the ground where he fell. Anger burning within him, he could feel his own blood burning with the desire to rip the man to shreds. Lei's nails dug at the earth as blood trickled from one of his reopened injuries. Staining the ground as he used one hand to grasp a nearby branch.

In a fit of irritation he threw it toward the man who was walking away from him. "You fucking cowardly fuck! " he exclamed after the man. Managing himself out of the hole after a few moments only to find himself covered in mud and dirt. Oh, this kid was going to get it, one way or another. Lei snatched up his scarf and stormed off after him. Stumbling slightly as he did on bits of earth and rock in his quick step to try to catch up with the other man.

Even if it was only to punch the kid in the face once or tell him he's a stupid twat he was going to tail that kid until he was satisfied that he had the 'last laugh' so to speak.

Carter celebrated with a quiet chuckle to himself, knowing a situation well enough to know when to play his hand and when to back away. When to hold them, and when to fold them. He lifted his back foot, planting it on the ground and denting it, lifting and fortifying the ground underneath his feet. No, he wasn't stupid enough to stay around and wait while the other guy tried to find his way out of a hole.

By the time he got out, Carter had already put a sizable amount of distance between them. He barely heard the yelling by the time the world underneath his feet had taken him a decent way back to the school. So no, no punches today.

But there were other days and other ways to get to Carter Chevalier.

Leiken cursed beneath his breath, by the time he'd managed himself out of that hole, and in the direction of the other man there was no way that he would ever be able to catch up. "Fucking asshole!" He would call after him despite doubting the man would ever hear him. He would get him back, one way or another, he would make him pay for that humiliation. Be it through his fist, or beneath him, he would shame that man beyond words.

Leiken hardly ever let it be as it was and he refused to be defeated. "You may have won the battle, but i'll win the war." he muttered to himself more so than anything.
