Complete Innocence (Leiken)

"I don't know how you can still say that, Princess. I'm a mean person." he stated as he raised his hand away from her hip to gently brush upon her cheek. His fingertips trailing the surface tenderly, "I will try, but i can't promise anything if he continues to pry his nose into my personal life. " he stated to her though he made a somewhat surprised expression when she stated that he was important to her. He felt his heart leap in his chest at the sound of her words.


Lei smiled to the feel of her arms around him, oddly it seemed to numb the pain that he felt inside, even if only for a moment. "oh? he's that sort then huh?" he questioned with a shake of his head. Though his cheeks grew a red tint to her words, though he smirked faintly to her, bringing his hand to gently slide into the strands of her hair. leaning into her as he spoke softly, "I should fix that then, Princess. Be still my beating heart." he cooed to her as he brushed his nose lightly against hers at first.

"Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take. Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged." he cooed to her as he brought his lips to capture hers. A gentle, sweet, but heart-felt kiss. For a moment, in that moment, time felt as though it stood still. As if all his worries and fears and pains had fluttered from the window into the sky. To be gone forever.

Juniper pondered his words for a moment. "You're not mean to me," she finally said. "And you don't have to be a mean person to anyone else. You have a choice." Her eyes fluttered as he brushed her cheek, and she let out a gentle sigh. "He won't," she told him, looking up once more. "I'll... I'll talk to him. I need to talk to him anyway. But I know he won't if I ask him not to." She had no doubt about that. Amos wasn't a mean person; if someone asked not to have their stuff written in the paper, especially if it was her telling him, she knew he wouldn't.

"Mm," she murmured at his question. "We've been best friends for so long, I know when he needs time away from me." It didn't happen often, but she knew that even the best of friends needed short breaks from each other occasionally. Her breath caught as he leaned in closer, brushing a hand through her hair. Here it was. For real this time. She giggled lightly as he spoke, the butterflies in her chest fluttering harder as his nose brushed against hers.

He began to speak again, and Juniper immediately recognized the quote - Romeo and Juliet. One of her favorite books. Her eyes lit up as he finished the words, and she tilted her head once more as he brought his lips to hers, only this time it lasted longer than a second. It tasted faintly of popcorn, and tea, and the entire moment felt like it lasted both a minute and an eternity. She felt herself relax completely, drawing her hands up to gently caress the back of his neck. After what felt like no time and forever, she slowly pulled away, keeping their faces close as she rested her forehead on his. "Wow," she breathed. It was all she could have hoped for for her first kiss, and more.

"I don't have a choice if he keeps putting me in the position. He could destroy alot of lives writing about things he shouldn't stick his nose in." He stated giving an annoyed expression. Though he sighed as well, "Please do. " Though that was said with much doubt given that Lei had little faith that Amos would resist writing about him.

"Well, i'm glad that you know that then, i would not want him to take his anger for me out on you." he noted to her with a faint smile. His arms slid around her waist, pulling her into his embrace, holding her protectively there. Though it was not because he was being a complete pervert, but more so because he was afraid she would float away in the wind if he let go.

He kissed her gently, letting all of his pain go for that single moment to savour the happiness he felt when she was near, he didn't understand it at all. It was like she reached into him and gave his toremented soul a pat saying 'its going to be okay' though he could not recognize the feeling. "ha... Princess you're so precious." he stated raising one of his hands again to brush a thumb gently against her lips as their foreheads rested gently upon one another.

Though the more he thought about it the more he feared it. He was no good for her. he knew that. He knew if he stayed near her she would get hurt. Especially once his body had healed completely. He could feel his ability trying to take hold of her, but it was far to weak to be able to. He smiled gently, letting the feeling linger, just for a little while longer.

He was not sure, what he should do, he wanted to avoid her. Simply in fear of hurting her, but how could he make that precious smile fade away because he was sure she would not understand his reasoning.

Juniper listened to Lei's words about Amos's paper, but she didn't think they would matter soon, because she was going to fix this, no matter what it took. "Don't worry," she murmured. "That won't happen."

She shook her head. "No... He wouldn't do that." She knew her best friend. Even if he did get angry at her, it wouldn't be for long. It couldn't. They had promised each other that nothing would ever tear them apart. Especially a boy. His embrace was comforting, and helped push away the doubts she had about Amos. Everything was going to be okay. It had to be.

Juniper was quite breathless by the time hey broke apart, and her heart hammered happily in her chest as she smiled shyly at him. "So if I'm the Princess, are you Prince Charming?" she asked quietly, her gaze drawn to the screen with Belle and the Beast. His touch upon her lips made her look back at him, so close, so beautiful in the dim lighting of her room.

Even if she knew he could hurt her on accident, she wasn't going to let something that could only potentially happen ruin this little spark that had been started. She wasn't quite sure what this was, what the next step should be, but she was just going to live it by the moment and let what would happen, come. Because if he went away, her heart would most certainly feel like something had been removed from it.

"Do you want to finish watching the movie?" she asked, gently reaching down to take his hand. She led him back over to the bed and snuggled back under the blanket, keeping him close so she wouldn't let him float away like one of those unpredictable breezes she had such a hard time controlling.

"You sound so sure of that. I wish that I could be as well." he stated. Completely unsure of how that would turn out. Especially with his constant torment of the other man.

"He had better not." he stated in a protective and threatening tone of voice. He didn't like to use that tone of voice, but it couldn't really be helped. Right? He shook his head in a mind disbelief.

Lei made a small surprised sound. choking a little on his words as a color drew upon his cheeks once again, that seemed to happen alot more than he was comfortable with lately, "H..hardly. I'm more of a beast than a prince charming." he stated with a smile. Though he looked toward the movie as she suggested watching it to finish. A certain amount of sadness crossed his features, though he gave a small laugh, "Only until it's over." he stated moving back to the bed, sliding beneath the blanket as well, wrapping his arms around her and holding her near.

He would stay, until the end of the movie at least, though unexpectedly he would doze off into a light sleep. A peaceful rest that his exhausted body needed so badly. Though he really had no idea that he had fallen asleep right against her during the movie. If she did not wake him he would likely spend the night curled up against her.
