A new place and new opportunities?! (OPEN)

Kamillia would not have liked to know that the teachers were sneaking around watching them. Though, quite honestly she couldn’t blame them. But it was a matter of respect, especially since most of them weren’t doing anything wrong. Kam was just skipping one of her classes, X had been drinking (but the teacher doesn’t seem to have cared), and Bailey was just a bystander; so there was no way in hell she was going to let Bailey get in trouble for whatever the two of them had done. Kam would have had to give the teacher props for at least being familiar with the song, that was more than the other two could say.

Kam gave a heavy sigh “Oh my gosh, I have a lot to teach you.” Unknowing saying that to both Xavier, and Bailey; really, what did she or even they get themselves into? “But seriously? You never heard the song Misery business?” It was by far Paramore’s most popular song. Kam wouldn’t have been surprised if he liked the band as a whole, Paramore did seem like his type of music. “Thanks! You should hear me play it on electric. I’ve been playing guitar for awhile now.” She would apologize to Bailey for unknowingly labeling her, but Kam wasn’t very good with her words, when it came to anything.

Looking at Xavier with a raised eyebrow at his question, “Germany, you can’t tell by my accent?” Though it was probably a faint one, considering she had been living in the U.S for about a year now. Even though she was from Germany, her home was where ever her gramps was. Kam decided not to repeat Bailey’s question on where he was from, no point in it being asked twice. However, looking at Bailey, her answer seemed a little off, she never heard someone answer that type of question with ‘everywhere, and nowhere’ unless their parents traveled a lot, but even then they always said where they at least had been born, and then went on to say that they traveled a lot. Which made Kam curious, but she didn’t want to pry into it, it wasn’t her place.

Kam smirked, and rested her guitar on her lap, seeing how it was now question time. “I have been at Hammel for about a year now, and I can say that it seems okay. I mean I never really thought about it, but I do like it better than Kocher.” If only for the fact that now she got to live with her Gramps all year round.

((OOC: I appreciate the people who have PM'd me to make sure I know that it is my turn, and who want to include me more directly in the action. However, don't worry too much. It's ok if you skip me, I'll sneak in a post when/if Christian would do something. Just assume Chris is going to be standing nearby and watching unless someone appears to be in danger. Roleplay your character however feels natural to you. I'm really enjoying seeing all of you interacting, especially seeing as you're all relatively new. It's quite amazing.))

As the young folks began to chat more casually, the drama teacher weighed his choices. On one hand, he could walk a bit closer and risk being noticed because of the grass. On the other hand he was having trouble hearing them now that they were settling in. He spent a minute deciding and finally made the choice to carefully walk closer, hoping that the small patches of crushed grass beneath his feet wouldn't be noticed. It was subtle, but he had learned that it was always when he least expected it that someone would pick up the little details that would give his position away.

To ensure he was as close to unnoticeable he kept his weight on the balls of his feet, trying to minimize the patches of compressed grass. He was now maybe five feet away, keeping the bench between himself and the students as an extra precaution. He could hear them fine now, and while he had noticed a slight accent from the guitarist... What did she say her name was? Kam, that's right. But he knew it was subtle and he had only caught it because he had lived in Europe for so long.

[Xavier O'Conner]

Xavier hasn't really been to a lot of places so answered with a partial truth. "I am from here and have lived here since I was eleven." He didn't like where the conversation was heading but he had started the questions so there was nothing he could do. He didn't talk about what happened before he came to Hammel to anyone.

Xavier smirked at Kam's accent." Everyone here has an accent I can't tell the difference anymore." He then went on to answer bailey's other question." I have been here for a while but there is nothing really to tell you that you won't find out in the next few days."

Xavier sat down on the bench and began to enjoy the sun like he had been earlier. He really did love being outside. He looked down to avoid being blinded by the sun, when he noticed some crushed grass with nothing crushing them a little bit behind the bench. In a split second he forgot about those around him that could be hurt. His anger flared about what could be making the indents. He felt heat flash up his back but wasn't fully aware of what happened until he noticed the bench rapidly catch on fire. He stood up fast but he, himself, was on fire and it wasn't easy to put himself out considering he drank some bears earlier. He could already feel his shirt burning and it would soon reach his skin.
(occ: Sorry for the sudden income of danger, but my character really has a knack for starting fires and not liking being watched. )

[Bailey Summers]

Kamilla was right, there was a lot Bailey didn’t know about music, not that Bailey didn’t like listen to music, it just never had been very important to her. Bailey shook her head: “No, I haven’t heard that song yet. Bailey decided to be friendly. She wasn’t someone who held a grudge for long and Kamilla couldn’t know that she didn’t know those bands. She added: “But I look forward to hear you singing it.”

Bailey was relieved to hear that Hammel was okay. She didn’t know the girl’s standards, but she seemed nice and she didn’t seem to be someone who would be afraid to say what she really thought. As Xavier didn’t want to talk about Hammel, Baile decided to drop that topic. She would find out soon enough, for the moment she was happy that Hammel seemed to be a more or less decent place as it could have been a lot worse.

Bailey was about to ask Kamilla to teach them a few German words when she noticed the flames. Where had they suddenly come from? She jumped to her feet and made two steps back. “Xavier you’re burning”, she yelled.

Kamillia looked at Xavier, and smiled “Hey! So I’m not the only one that’s noticed? Sweet!” Everyone here seemed to have an accent to her, but maybe that was just her. She wasn’t sure why there was anything for Bailey to hold a grudge on. But then again Kam was always dense when it came to the things she said. She bowed her head “I look forward to you listening.” Who didn’t like an audience?

Kamillia didn’t mind teaching people German, it was her native language, she was proud of it. Kam hadn’t even noticed Xavier till Bailey shouted. Her eyes widen at the sight. She hurryingly placed her guitar on the ground, got up quickly, and stood next to Bailey. “Stop, drop, and roll!” The next best thing would be to rip his shirt off. Then again that didn’t help the fact that the bench was also on fire! How were they supposed to put that out? Now she wished she could control water or something.

Cursing silently, the part time spy and full time drama teacher held his spot for a second, observing how the two other students next to Xavier were reacting. His first priority was to their safety, and he knew from reading the boy's file that he didn't have much control over his power if he lost his temper.

Fortunately they both stepped away from the pyrokinetic. Unfortunately, they weren't very far away from him. The boy was practically a bomb if he let loose. He was already completely on fire now, his body wraithed in flame.

In that brief second, a number of possible options came to mind. He really hated all of them. He didn't have time to ponder the full pros and cons of each though, so he leaped into action. Still remaining cloaked he leaped across to the girls and grabbing each by an arm dragged them another ten meters away before turning to the flaming youth.

He knew he could be tracked by the compressed grass, but people who didn't specifically train for details like that had a hard time following his steps if he moved quickly. That was really his only advantage right now. So he sprinted, his long legs helping carry him surprising distance. It was a damned good thing he jogged every morning. Looping around behind the human marshmallow cooker, he mentally braced himself and tackled the boy, taking a sidestep at the last moment as the student was turning, obviously searching for more tracks.

Xavier was strong. That was annoying. What was even more annoying was the fact that he was engulfed in flames, and had somehow gotten his hand on Christian's bicep. He could feel the heat penetrating the muscle and wrenched away.

His invisibility was useless now. His button down shirt was half lit, his pants had some smoldering patches now. But Christian was not noticing these things. He ripped the shirt off and began to beat the boy with it, hoping that between the shock of the tackle and the natural need for oxygen of fire, that he would settle down.

Or maybe it wouldn't. Christian was just hoping this day wouldn't keep getting worse.

[Xavier O'Conner]

Xavier stayed where he was and tried to follow the footsteps. He lost them around when the girls got moved back. He had totally lost focus on the girls and focused on what made him angry. His fire had spread across him as he looked around to find more of the compressed grass.

Xavier wasn't even aware someone was even close to being behind him until he was tackled to the ground. Xavier wasn't a small guy and he had a lot of strength, so it had to be brutal to tackle a guy that was standing still and on fire.

Xavier's immediate reaction was to fight back, but it was hard to fight someone you can't see. Xavier reached and held on to whatever he touched first. Xavier felt it jerk and pull away.

Xavier's shirt was basically burnt to pieces and his pants were smoking. Luckily the teacher was a fast thinker and at the moment, Xavier was not. The teacher had gotten up as fast as Xavier had gone down. The flames had gone down a little bit when Xavier had the wind knocked out of him as he hit the ground, but had sparked back up seconds later. It went down again as the oxygen was taken out by the shirt.

Xavier was laying on the ground with his fire basically out. He wouldn't dare get up until told he was told to do so. The people near him usually felt safer with him on the ground and he was good to do it until he had recovered himself at least a little bit. Xavier coughed for a second from the smoke that had come from him and looked up to see who had tackled him. " The bench," Xavier reminded him as it still burned near them.

Xavier felt most of the side effects directly after his fire was almost out and he had calmed down some. First off, Xavier could feel a burn forming along his spine. He almost always got a burn where the fire started and of course he had lit the bench on fire first. Xavier also felt the guilt of getting angry and putting people in danger that didn't expect talking to someone to be dangerous.
