Lucy stopped abruptly, halting on her feet and being lucky enough not to crash into the girl in front of her. "What? No." She retorted, unable to come up with a decent quip to volley with. God dammit, brain. Keep up!
"Don't let me stop you." Lucy raised her hands on either side, shrugging her shoulders. Just like that, she left a kiss on the Australian's cheek and disappeared into a puddle.
What the hell?
"Good god."
Finding Homonique's car - the silvery whim of, well, expensive taste that it was - she settled into the driver's seat and pulled out, heading for home. She missed a few calls from the blonde, it seemed, and it sounded like he'd tried to leave a frustrated message or two. But the sound behind it was so loud it was impossible to decipher what he wanted. "Just don't be dead." She said, allowing the device to convert those words into a message and send it off to him. Damn rich people and their high-tec cars. She was still trying to settle into driving on the wrong side of the road.
The drive was a long one. What, it was like thirty minutes distance between both points and if she put a scratch on the car she'd owe Dom about a million dollars. It was worse when she started to settle into the boring drive and she started thinking. What the actual fuck was going on? Who'd she become? How much of Sawyer's abrupt personality was she taking on here? If she wasn't careful, she'd start hyperventilating, crash the car and either die or be in the red thanks to Dom's dumbass expensive taste, which would in turn make her wish she'd died.
Pulling up at the school, she ditched the vehicle in the parking lot and tentatively made her way towards the dorms. Sufficed to say, she didn't think she could predict what she was going to walk in on, so before she opened her bedroom door she took a deep breath and exhaled.
