▪ mini bio: Lorelei came from two very shallow parents who were more concerned with their reputation and the way they were viewed by their friends than they were with their children. Therefore Lorelei and her fraternal twin sister Emery were forced to fend for themselves the majority of the time and when they were with their parents, there was a great pressure on the both of them to be perfect. At age thirteen the introduction of Emery's ability (Pyrokinesis) forced their parents to decide between a clean reputation or their child, and they chose their reputation, abandoning Emery. Lorelei lived in fear that something similar would happen to her, and she was right. A year later when Lorelei's ability showed itself, their parents sent her away as well. She has now been with Hammel since she was fourteen.
▪ powers: Plant/Wood Manipulation - Lorelei has the ability to manipulate plants and the wood attached, such as the branches or roots of trees. Such plants must still be connected to the Earth as she cannot manipulate potted plants or fake plants that have been put into the ground. Lori is not necessarily able to make plants grow, but plants do seem to thrive off of her aura when she is near. Her ability makes her able to lift roots from the ground temporarily, make trees sway wildly as if in the wind, make branches reach out further as if they were hands, etc. When using lightly the side effects are not too bad - nagging headaches and some dizziness. When using more heavily the headaches will increase, dizziness still may or may not appear, she will often get a strong taste of soil in her mouth as if she'd just eaten a handful of dirt, and sometimes joint pain in her hands.
▪ personality: Though Lorelei generally loves people and tends to see the best in all, her quiet and shy demeanor keep her from being very social. She spends most of her time outside under shady trees either napping, reading, doodling, listening to music or practicing her ability. She is somewhat carefree, easily able to let go of the little things that might bother someone else such as an insult tossed her way or a bad grade in school. She's intelligent in a thoughtful way, taking her time to think her words out instead of answering quickly. She loves humor and is easily made to laugh.
She isn't very tough and finds it hard to stick up for herself, often times shrugging off things people might say in favor of arguing with them or causing a scene and because of that she usually gets along with everyone, though some use that fact to take advantage of her. Lorelei tends to be sensitive to body language and unconscious signals that people give off, so she is very adaptable in conversation and people seem to find it easy to talk to or confide in her, and also like to ask her for advice because she seems to be rather wise for her age.

Lorelei tends to have a small group of good friends rather than lots of friends. Her friends usually put a lot of trust in her and find her to be a genuinely good person. Even though she prefers to be outside if her friends request to hang out somewhere inside, she doesn't mind as she tends to cater to the needs and desires of others above her own. Few times will she confide in friends if she is feeling down or thoughtful about something, unwilling to push her troubles onto others. However she will always listen to a friend in need and doesn't mind doing favors or helping them out whenever she can.
It is difficult for Lorelei to make friends though, because she finds it hard to strike up conversations with people she does not know. Generally the person has to approach Lorelei first. But once someone has become a good friend to her she will always do her best to help them any way she can, and she will always defend someone she deeply cares for and loves.

Lorelei's parents are completely out of the picture. They orphaned Lorelei and her sister Emery. However she does have an aunt Erin that she adores, who often visits she and her sister and helps them whenever she can. Lorelei and her sister grew up very close, but since their parents gave them up a year apart, Lorelei's sister Emery is somewhat bitter toward her. The two have very different personalities that clash very easily, but that doesn't stop Lorelei from trying. She loves her sister and wishes that they could share the bond they used to, before their parents abandonded them. Lorelei continues to attempt to connect with Emery, though Emery still seems to push her away as much as possible.

Unfortunately Lorelei doesn't have very much experience in this category. Before her parents tossed her out she had a boyfriend for a couple of months, but they broke up for unknown reasons. She has not had a boyfriend since.
Lorelei will treat a lover much like she treats her friends, as she believes that lovers are born out of friendship. She puts very high value on trust and truth and expects a boyfriend to do the same. If she feels like she can no longer trust the person she is with then the relationship will most likely be ended soon. Lorelei won't talk about herself much unless it is pryed from her, but does not mind talking about her significant other. If she feels like she can trust a guy and he can make her laugh she will most likely fall for him very easily, but will be hesitant to initiate the relationship and will often wait for a sure sign that he is interested, or wait for him to make the first move. Sometimes she will crush on multiple guys, but it isn't easy to make her fall in love and she is the kind of girl who won't be intimate with a guy unless she's absolutely sure that she is in love with him and he with her.

Lorelei doesn't have many of these usually. She actively tries not to get on anyones bad side and lives under the rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." If she doesn't agree with something that has been said or done she's not likely to speak up about it, and if she does she tries to do it in a way that seems the least judgemental and gentle toward the person in question. She avoids arguments and fights at any cost and will walk away from a heated situation before even attempting to speak against someone or get physical. Lorelei is tall, skinny, and frail, so she can't really defend herself in a physical fight.
She is easily taken advantage of and manipulated because of her giving nature and tendency to give people the benefit of the doubt, so some people may find it very easy to prey on her. However if anyone she truly cares for are in a harmful situation she will fight against their attacker/enemy in any way possible, even if it means facing physical harm for herself.
