"Well, obviously I," pause, "am the Evil Overlord, destined to consume this rotting world with my nefarious deeds. Together with my gradually growing army, we will rule with an iron fist over the weaklings which call themselves.....people. Treat me well this day, and you too will be spared and allowed to trail behind me as one of my personal minion, executing my will so that I may continue my naps when I please...." Ok, maybe that was a little much. Saying he was going to dominate the world was one thing, actually doing it was another, especially since Oriel was likely too lazy to even execute such a plan and could probably be twarted by an Oxford dictionary.
Oriel had no intention of playing the "show me yours, I'll show you mine" game with their powers. He still didn't care much about other people's powers, unless they were especially close to him(though now he thought of it, Oriel still didn't know Lux's power). And he certainly didn't want to advertise how pathetic his own was. The only slightly cool thing he'd figured out with it so far was that he could lift temporary tattoos as well as real ones. Otherwise, it was pretty useless considering his lack of artistic talent.
As for the reason Oriel was sticking around....he was lazy. Though he'd have to admit that Phen was keeping him fairly good company. He was interesting, all right. And should this encounter lead to where Oriel was thinking it was heading...well, that was alright, he supposed. Couldn't hurt to try someone new for a change, he'd only had one partner for the past month and a half. Not that he was getting bored with Madison or anything.
"Well, my household was the entirety of the New York City streets, I'll tell you. Trust me, that was polite." Funny how he could laugh and joke about it now like it wasn't that serious when in fact, you had no choice but to be that "polite" just to survive sometimes. Such faraway memories those were, even though it was still only two years ago.
Oriel joined Phen's laughter when he admitted Oriel's point. "Well, then what are you complaining about?" This guy was a hoot! A quick witted fellow that didn't scare easy by Oriel's asshole-ry. Those kind were rare and few in this place. Even if he was a pretty boy, Oriel figured he may as well mark this one for the future. Oriel twisted back onto his side and shifted closer to Phen, arranging himself almost parallel to the other boy while readjusting his legs to keep them comfortably entangled within Phen's. "Is that so?" he echoed Phen's earlier question. "Well, tell me, how far do I have to push to make you uncomfortable?" He tilted his head flirtatiously to the side while donning a half-crooked smile.
