Sleep still clung onto the Blue bird like a stubborn fog, drooping her eyelids and tingling through her skinny limbs like a swarm of ants. The mattress had formed to her dainty body and she was left snuggled into the ridiculously comfortable indent that her form created during the night.

Shifting her sleepy blue eyes over to Lucy she offered the girl a little simper before attempting to make sense of what was just revealed. A sleep talker? Well, it wasn't exactly something Evy could control and yet she found herself blush from the reveal. What did she say? It was a bad habit and her subconscious had the dirty habit of releasing secrets and desires that she'd prefer to leave unspoken.

"I...didn't say anything stupid did I?" Evony mumbled, furrowing her brow before taking a quick glance at the steaming cup of coffee. It was a nice reminder of that one sorry morning she woke up with a hangover, the Australian was strangely generous then. Grinning at the cup she allowed a deep sigh to wash over her lips before gripping the cup and taking a little sip.
It was sweet.

Wriggling her toes underneath the blanket the thief allowed the warmth of the mug to seep into her porcelain hands, giving her a little piece of comfort before she cleared her throat. "Did you sleep well last night?" She asked, knowing full well that Lucy wasn't the greatest sleeper.

"I dunno, maybe. Depends on what you think stupid is." Lucy replied, twisting her mouth as she tried to recall something worthwhile. "Something about grabbing a rope, or something. And you were sorta... Flailing." She scratched the back of her head lightly. Was that the right word? Either way, she shrugged. "I dunno, I was just glad I was out by then." Or she might have ended up with an accidental black eye. Besides, she heard Evony threw a mean punch.

At the posed question, Lucy stared intently at the screen in front of her for as long as possible. She wasn't sure how to answer; was it enough to say a simple yes or no? "I didn't wake up during the night. So that's... Something." She said simply, rolling her shoulders at the thought. "Not sure how I feel about it. I'm used to running on caffeine. Not... Sleep."

A lazy grin crawled over Evony's lips at the news of what her unconscious body had been doing during her sleep. Well, it sort of made sense, and good thing Lucy did escape before the flailing onslaught. The dream was weird, maybe a result of going to sleep worried...but then again, she had eaten a whole bagful of lollies prior to knocking out.

"Well, I guess I should stay away from stolen candy before sleeping..." She mumbled, snorting out a faint laugh before taking a swig of the provided coffee. Sighing from its warmth she offered lucy a faint smile, "that's good, too much coffee will make you crazy!" She chirped, not sure if it was just some silly wives tale or not.

Golden ribbons of sunlight burst through the shadows of a tree outside and pierced the room with a natural glow, prompting the Blue bird to finally rise from her nest. In one fluid motion the porcelain skinned girl slipped out of the blankets and lightly bounced onto the floor, pedicured toes grazing the carpet.

But then something caught her eyes. Something awful, and horrifying and - the bitch's nails had nothing on them!

"Wait! What the hell?" Evony squealed, rushing over and snatching Lucy's hand with a swift yet careful yank. There was nothing there, bare and naked. "So...I'm confused. They looked really pretty as well." The thief mumbled, offering a little pout before glancing down at Lucy's toes. Same deal, all gone. Taking in a deep breath she found the strength to gaze into the chocolatey pools of sarcasm and peculiar warmth. "Shoulda dragged you on to the roof last night." She teased, taking a step back before giving the Australian a quick once over.

"I wouldn't be able to weigh in; I don't think I've ever been awake first." Lucy replied, her eyebrows furrowed as she wondered if that were true. It didn't really matter either way, but it was an interesting thought to ponder. She crinkled her nose as she brought the cup to her lips. Too much? Who was she kidding? "Too much coffee can't be a bad thing." Nope, she practically scoffed at the thought.

She didn't watch as Evony got up, rather her eyes were attuned to window as if the piercing light had caught her eyes. Rather, it was the shadows that flagged her interest as she enjoyed the rare sight of morning with her usual morning coffee.

Y'know, it was almost calm until someone started screaming at her.

"What? What?" Lucy asked, watching as Evony stole her hand and nearly forced her to spill hot coffee all over her exposed thighs. Jesus, that would have hurt. She pressed her lips into an amused line, trying with as much strength as she could muster not to laugh at the sudden realisation. "Y'like?"

Obviously, she did not. "Hey, I agreed to let you do what you wanted." Lucy stipulated, a sharp laugh falling from her mouth This was too funny. "What happens after that is no one's business but mine."

Evony Vasiliev wasn't the sort of meta to use her abilities for the good of mankind or out of some misplaced sense of benevolence, so in the case of Lucy abusing her power and completely ruining a perfect mani/pedi the little acrobat had to begrudgingly accept it. But still, it was an amusing little development which sparked a revelation so early in the morning. No wonder Lucy never remained messy after the paint fights.

"Oh psssh, I'm just trying to work out where all that wasted nail polish disappeared to." Evy huffed, downing the coffee in one greedy gulp, allowing the warm liquid to bathe her throat. "You know how much money I spent on those?" She spurted out, attempting to sound sincere without releasing the giggles in the back of her mouth.

Lucy was continually surprising her, it was a gradual evolution of this mysterious Australian that had hooked the porcelain rogue in the first place. There was bound to be a few more surprises down the road.

Taking a step back the girl released a deep sigh, rubbing her eyes before grabbing her bag and what remained of her candy. As much as she wanted to stay with Lucy there was no point suffocating the Australian. "Well I gotta jet, I have a business meeting to attend to." She chirped, lightly poking the girl in the shoulder before offering a fist as a goodbye. Oh yes, it was going to be her official goodbye as well.

"Next time...next time, let's umm...actually, don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll need rescuing sometime soon from parents, Frenchmen or whatever else you love!" Evy smirked, giving Lucy one last glance before heading towards the door, not entirely caring for her lack of pants. She was certain the hammelites had seen worse than pale skinny legs. "Last night was fun. Laters Lucy!" The Blue Bird chimed, her voice catching onto a yawn before twisting the doorknob...cringing to herself from the cold metal.

Yes, the door thing still weirded her out.

"You'll never know." Lucy retorted firmly, as if preparing to keep the biggest secret of her life. But at the question of how much money she'd spent on her nail products, Lucy had to choke back a laugh. "Uh, none?" She asked, though it was hardly a question. She'd be surprised if Evony bothered to pay for anything she owned.

Turning in her chair, she watched as Evony decided to take a step back and make her initial move to leave. A business meeting? Lucy grinned to herself - honestly, now she was at the point where she believed all Evony did all day was steal things. Or wander the campus without shoes on. What great businesses she was running.

But she stared point blank at the fist that was offered to her; "No."

Never. Ever again.

She had to be curious about what Evony wanted to say, but she'd jetted towards the door so fast the Australian had no way to actually ask her. "Fine, go." She said lightly, turning back in her chair and laughing to herself; "I'm not gonna miss you."

Whether or not she meant that would firmly remain a mystery.
