Awww…. Charlie was just so cuuute, thinking that she was a geek and all unattractive an stuff. She apparently didn't know what she had. Brooke stepped up and put a finger to her lips to gently shut her up. "Take a breath hunny, before you pass yout
"I'll have ya know," she started with a pointed finger. "That 'Charlie' is a damn cute an' girly name. I'don't matter nowadays what's girly or not, ya know. Nobody goes by th' stereotypes anymore."
Brooke moved her finger up to Charlie's button nose. "Aaaan', ya don' hafta worry 'bout payin' me back. I'm doin' this 'cause I want t'." Charlie was definitely allowed her little freakout, Brooke didn't blame her. It was very much a surprise to suddenly be picked up and whisked away from your comfort zone by someone you barely knew. Brooke wasn't stupid, she knew how irregular it was. But Brooke was also in desperate need of a distraction. Charlie was convenient. And by this time, Brooke was glad that Charlie had been there to be convenient. Charlie wasn't at all the prude or innocent or geek she was making herself out to be. She was probably going to be just fine. And Brooke wasn't so mean as to leave her alone outside of her element. She might to a person a little more capable, but not to someone so brand new on the scene.
"I'm not gonna 'bandon you 'fore we getcha back home, so don' you worry your little noggin." Brooke smiled brightly for the panicking girl and pet her head gently. "Ya feelin' any better?" If she was, then they could continue. If not, then Brooke would have to figure out some other way to calm her down…maybe a blow to the back of the head?
