Whatever semblance of safety Alex felt in that dark dorm room was quickly smashed as soon as the storm started picking up outside. The howling wind and thunder was what seemed to be the most pronounced, one of those before winter freezing rains that always pissed off early morning commuters on their way to work. Lightning flashed in through the window, making the darkest shadows in the room even more pronounced. But, he wasn't completely alone, if he had been then he would be absolutely terrified. The guy besides him was still holding onto him, even after all of Alex's jumps and gasps.
His fingers pulsed against Rowan's skin, which was radiating with warmth, the way his arm wrapped around his shoulder fit, and made him feel safe and warm. He was actually growing less rigid, as the movie continued, feeling a warmth crawl over his body. Suddenly, he wished he had a blanket they could curl up under, the security was almost making him tired. Without warning, he felt a warm presence lean in close to him, only realizing that it was indeed Rowan when he whispered into his ear. The question came out oddly... seductive.. or something close to that. Maybe Rowan was trying to hit on him?
The youth gulped, and once again he risked a glance towards Rowan's direction. "Y-yeah. I'm having fun, really." Alex managed, squeezing at Rowans side as if to reassure him, or himself. Why did he just squeeze his side? His face red again, he turned his face back to the screen. "I just hate ghost stories they freak me out.."
CRACK! BOOM.
This time Alex's jump was a bit more subtle, and once more he wrapped his arm tightly around Rowan's side. He hated those shadows, they freaked him out really bad. That was the main reason why he sat forward and one handedly lifted up the DVD player, moving his leg to press against Rowan's, before setting it down to rest on both of their legs. "Better." He mumbled, more to himself than Rowan.
