Kodi grumbled again, picking at one of his teeth; it ached a little. "How sweet," he said, his voice laced with sarcasm. Even so, he felt the tiniest bit of envy; sometimes, he wished he had someone he could depend o- Nope. Nope nope. He was fine on his own. He didn't get hurt that way. "Y'guys gettin' married anytime soon?" he snickered. Gross. Words of affection. Blech. He didn't need to hear this.

He gave a small triumphant grin as Zach said he'd bring the books, but he scowled quickly as he continued with 'schoolwork'. "Oh, fuck off, I'm doin' fine in my studies," he growled, waving a hand. That wasn't entirely true - honestly, Kodi was smart enough that he could do fine, but he just didn't put in the effort.

God, this Zach guy was just screwing with Kodi's emotions all over. Kodi couldn't help but gawk for a moment before his scowl came back. "I might be able t'put up with you," he drawled, studying his fingernails before slipping his gaze back up through a furrowed brow. "I dunno how long you'd be able t'put up with me, though," he added, grinning devilishly. If he had his way, he'd get to fuck the older boy eventually. Heh...

Clearly you can talk... Jeeze, maybe he wouldn't get that far; everything seemed to go over this guy's head. He simply rolled his eyes, until Zach asked more about his ability. "Creepy... Sure, it's creepy," he snickered. "I can warp my teeth, an' other people's. I could make ya have fangs, or seal yer teeth together. It hurts like shit, though." Both for himself and the person he worked it on. "I can't make anythin' too huge yet, though. No like... Sabertooth tiger stuff." Though, he hoped to get there someday. He let his canines extend over his lower lip, giving a very vampire-ish smile. "I vant t'suck yer blood," he growled playfully.

"Y'guys gettin' married anytime soon?"

While Zach chuckled at that, honestly finding his blatant sarcasm amusing, it did make him think. Yeah, if Oliver and he didn't find anyone else after a good amount of time, he'd be comfortable settling down with him. It was an interesting realization, but it made sense. And didn't people do those kind of pacts often with their best or close friend?

"Ok, if you say so. I'm still not bringing them until break starts." He didn't know if Kodi was lying or not, but on the off-chance he was, then at least Zach wouldn't have to live with being the one that made him fail his classes.

Zach raised an eyebrow. "…I think I can handle you. I've got a lot more experience than you think," he commented innocently, still not getting what Kodi was talking about. "And a lot more patience. I have a couple of younger brothers who are….well, they're no slouches when it comes to pushing people's limits." And that wasn't even to mention the rest of his family. Dealing with them for 23 years had made the rest of the world seem a little…average.

Zach shuffled himself so he was facing Kodi, intrigued at hearing how his power worked. Sounded like it wasn't all fun, like a bad dental job overtime he used it, but he seemed to be having fun with it. "You know…Dracula never actually said that," he offered with a laugh. Kodi was a cute kid, even looking like a horror film monster. "You…you probably get a lot of girls with that line, though. Huh?" This was Zach making assumptions, if he had actually been paying attention, he would have realized that Kodi preferred the other sex over the softer.

Kodi, on the other hand, had no plans of marrying anyone ever. It was dumb - he'd likely just get sick of them and end up getting a divorce anyway. He was unlovable, as far as he was concerned, and wasn't going to get his hopes up. It wasn't like Erik - no. Erik didn't mean anything. He was just a boytoy that Kodi enjoyed more than most of his others. That was all.

He growled but let the issue of the books come to rest on that. "Fiiine," was all he said, much like an unamused child. Kodi's lip curled a bit, and he pouted, but said nothing else. Books were his weakness - he couldn't stand itching to read some new ones!

I think I can handle you. Kodi wasn't so sure. Hardly anyone could put up with him, Oriel being one of the few, Erik being another, and they were as volatile as he was. This Zach guy seemed way too mellow. "Oh, ya have experience, huh?" he snickered, obviously reading more into that than he was meant to. "Yeah, well, yer gonna need a hell of a lot of patience t'put up with me. I've lost count'a how many trainers I've been through an' teachers I've pissed off." He vaguely wondered if his brothers went to Hammel, but wasn't curious enough to ask. "You... Can try, though." As much as he would never admit it, Zach wasn't bad. He didn't explode at Kodi like the southerner had thought he would all this time. It was... Nice.

"I know," he replied quickly; he'd read that book, of course, several times. It was one of his favorites, for obvious reasons. He gave a rather childish grin despite himself (and minus the fangs). At the comment about girls, though, his sneer returned, and he made a disgusted face. "Girls? Gross, no. I'm all for the dicks, man." Still, Kodi was still entertained. "Is it workin' on you yet?" he smirked, leaning in close, bringing his face up to Zach's before he dipped it down and pretended to nibble on the boy's neck. For once, though, he didn't actually touch, just pretended to.

Kodi was cute, like a little brother, Zach was thinking. A bit of a brat, but definitely as smart as Zach had initially thought. If they'd been closer in age, like if they'd gone to high school together, they probably would have been good friends throughout.

Probably. Either that or Zach would have been one of the kids this guy teased incessantly.

"Yeah. Well, enough," he affirmed, clueless to how Kodi was taking it. He chuckled hearing how Kodi boasted about his inability to be tolerated by teachers and trainers. "Well…honestly, it's not…well, it's not that hard to piss off the teachers. They can find anything to complain about." Which was true, Zach had upset his fair share of teachers and trainers. He was lucky he managed to get his powers under control in time for graduation.

Yup. He really was just a cute kid. Zach definitely liked him.

Zach raised an eyebrow, however, when Kodi announced his sexuality in such a crude fashion. Not that he had a problem with it, he really didn't, but it was mostly the second part, the question that had him pondering. "Huh?" he asked cluelessly. It took him a second, and a very very obvious approach by the boy, before it finally clicked for Zach. "…Ooohhhhhhh….That's what you were trying to do? Seduce me? Sorry…" he said simply, rubbing the back of his neck and arching his head away slightly from the side that Kodi was pretending to attack. "I…I didn't even realize." That was a little embarrassing, though it certainly wasn't the first time it'd happened, albeit not with someone so much younger than himself. He paused for a moment more and gently pushed Kodi away. "Sorry…that's not…really…something I do. Especially not with someone I just met." The age difference was hardly the only issue.

It was hard to say how Zach and Kodi would have gotten along if Kodi was older, or Zach was younger. Most of the reasons that Kodi was dealing alright with the guy was that he had a grudging respect for people his age - he was an adult, but not old enough yet to be irritating and patronizing, which was nice. If Zach was Kodi's age... Well, the Chinese boy wasn't sure.

He bit his lip to hold back another toying retort, knowing it would just go right over the guy's head like everything else was. "No kiddin'," he chuckled. "I swear if I so much as breathe too loud, they'll complain at me for disruptin' the class." He shook his head. "I'm sick of this shithole." And yet he knew with his behavior, he'd likely end up spending at least an extra year or two here. Well... It was a place to live, at least.

Finally, finally the guy seemed to catch on; it took hardly anyone to miss so many suggestive comments that Kodi had to resort to outright admitting what he was doing. "I ain't too good at seducin', apparently," he snickered. "Took ya long enough." He didn't expect Zach to respond positively to the 'nibbling', and pulled back as soon as the guy resisted. He was still grinning. "Ain't a problem. We can just get t'know each other better an' I'll try it again sometime." He snickered again; was he really going to do that? Who knew. "I told ya it can be hard t'put up with me," he sighed, unfolding himself up into a standing position. "Anyway... I should probably get goin' before yer friend thinks I ate ya or somethin'." That dick dorm monitor could be sending someone up any minute, and he doubted they'd be as easy-going as Zach. "... I'm glad we had this talk." He half-offered an awkward hand before he pulled it back and just fiddled with his jacket zipper.

He might have had a point. Although there was certainly an age difference, Zach was still young enough to have a fresh understanding of what being a teenager was like in this day and age. He supposed the older one was, the harder it was to remember or even relate, especially with the changing times and the expectations that changed with it.

"Then they get you for painting your nails black and having your hair too long….at least, that was me." Though it did seem like the adults would fly off the handle just for breathing or looking at them strangely. Zach wasn't glaring, even if it seemed so. He just had a pissy resting bitch face, the same one he always wore when he was lost in thought. And it's unfortunately created a rift between himself and some of his siblings. Even some people who might've been his friends. Zach just always looked like he hated the world…well, that might've been somewhat true, but unlike most people who hated the world, Zach also liked people. He didn't mind being alone, but he liked being around people too sometimes.

Well, this was awkward. How many times had Zach been hit on and not realized it? Clearly not enough otherwise it wouldn't keep happening. "No…It's not you, trust me, this is definitely not the first time…." Zach was sure his face was lightly flushed from embarrassment. He did chuckle at the prospect of Kodi trying again. "You're free to try, I can't promise I'll be receptive." Which was the honest truth.

"I'm sure he's fine," Zach assured him, though it was true it'd been a while and Oliver would probably be wondering what happened to Zach. He could see it now: "what happened to you?" "Oh, I met this kid name Kodi. He tried to eat me." Just the thought had Zach snickering to himself. "But I should be heading back." Zach stood up and started back to the window, because that was clearly the best way to get back downstairs. "Me too," he agreed. "I'll see you later, Kodi." And Zach hopped back out the window, making his way down.

"Heh, paintin' nails... Gotta try that sometime," Kodi chuckled. The eyeliner was enough for him, but he wasn't against experimenting with other things. He didn't give a shit what other people thought of how he looked - what were they going to do, call him gay? Well, they'd be right, so it was pointless. And he really did hate the world. All of it. Everything. Or so he told himself.

He waved a hand as Zach replied, shrugging off the rejection without blinking. He really hadn't expected anything.... For now. Kodi'd try again, though - he was as stubborn as a bull when he wanted to be. "We'll see," was all he said, grinning wickedly with still-sharp canines.

Kodi waited until Zach was standing and looking towards the window before he made a rather crude, sexual gesture, snickering quietly to himself. "Sounds good," he replied, the picture of innocence. "See ya, Spidey." Once the older guy had disappeared, Kodi rummaged around for a bit longer before grabbing his book and making his own way down in his own secret way, wondering why the hell he still had a stupid grin on his face.
