I Need a Hero... or a Hot-Butt (Gryphon)

Ugh, sickness.... Ughhhhhhh.  Kodi didn't know that a flu could last this long, he was absolutely miserable.  While he was still pumped up on meds, he'd at least actually been dragged to the infirmary by Oriel after nearly passing out from an overdose, and was now aware of how much was actually appropriate.  It still made him fuzzy-headed and goofy, but not to the extreme extent that he'd been before.  And it sure didn't feel like it was helping with his damn flu; it just felt like he was being forced to drink something awful.

And, for some reason he had chills today.  While before he'd been roasting, today he was freezing, huddled under his blankets like winter was coming in his room.  He giggled aloud at this thought, even as his teeth chattered.  Urgh.... He really needed a heater or something.  Like... A human heater.  His first thought was Oriel again, but after opening up his contacts to text the guy, he first passed by another, new addition to his list.  Gryphon (or, in Kodi's listing, Hot-butt).

Eh... Why not?  Gryph had given him his number without Kodi asking, after all....

He quickly selected the name and, sniffling, typed in a message.

Hey hot-butt... I'm sick and fucking freezing, you gonna come keep me warm, or do I have to beg?

Kodi sent it off with a click and rolled over, pulling his blankets more tightly around himself and groaning.

Like the strangely unsociable person he was being, Gryph was sat in his dorm room, headphones in, watching Inception on his laptop (the ending still got on his nerves). He was halfway into it when he felt his phone buzzing in his pocket; he pulled it out, letting the movie continue on its course.

Hot-butt? Sounded like a certain Chinese boy needed to see Gryph. He smirked, recalling their last meeting - that was a conversation he would play over and over in his head a million times if he could.

He added Kodi to his contacts and typed out a message, detailing that he would be there soon. And then he deleted that.

Hm... what to say... he grinned and chuckled, putting his phone down on the desk without replying. He watched his movie for a few more minutes, and then hit the spacebar to pause it. Then he grabbed his phone again.

He felt bad for the guy, honestly. Being ill was not fun in any possiblle definition of the word, but that didn't mean he couldn't still muck around.

He was about to leave when... he realized he didn't know where he was going... but instead of texting Kodi to ask his location, he stepped out into the common area of his dorm, and then the corridor. Slipping his phone into the pocket of his jeans, he approached a few passers-by, asking them of they knew where his dorm was, and wasting as much time as possible.

15 minutes later and he had an answer.

He was literally right next door.

That was probably something he wouldn't let slip in the near future.

Gryph let himself into Kodi's dorm and then walked up to his doo- he didn't know which one Kodi was in. Well, this was going brilliantly. He decided to text Kodi again.

It was several minutes that Kodi had to wait, twisting and turning uncomfortably in his bed as he waited for the boy to reply. It occurred to him that Gryphon had given him a false number, and that he had been playing with Kodi all along. This realization stewed in his mind until his phone buzzed. He eagerly pulled up the message to see the one-letter response.

Ugh... Kodi was so going to get this guy back once he was feeling better. But, hey, at least he had agreed, right? Kodi didn't bother to respond, forgetting that Gryph wouldn't know where he lived, and rolled over for the umpteenth time, whining aloud at nothing. Man, physical abuse he could take... This being sick stuff was some other sort of torture.

But... Now Gryphon was taking forever to get there, and Kodi was wondering again if he was just playing... He almost texted him asking where the hell he was; he'd just about reached his limit when his phone buzzed, and he pulled up the message, rolling his eyes. For fuck's sake... Why'd it take him so long to ask?

Room 507. First door on the right. Hurry the fuck up!

Yep... He was polite when he was sick. He tossed his phone on his table and entangled himself even more in the blankets. Like when Oriel had visited him the other day, he hadn't had the energy to put on his normal eyeliner - he hoped Gryphon wouldn't notice and think he looked awful (even though he did).

First door on the right, there we are. But Kodi was being a bit impatient! He thought for a second about replying, but then left it; he was only a few feet away from the boy anyway.

Without knocking, he let himself into the boy's room and... yikes. Someone was definitely ill. "Hey." Kodi was there, tangled up in what looked like anything blanket-like that he could scavenge for. Gryph held back the sarcasm and joking now - he'd had his fun, it wouldn't be fair.

He didn't exactly know what to do though, he just kind of... stood there. After actually processing an idea, he sat on the corner of the boy's bed. "Looks like you're havin' fun."

Kodi peeked up from his mass of blankets and comforters as Gryph came inside, much sooner than expected, considering all the waiting he'd had to do before. "There you are," he grumbled, rummaging around the bottles of medicine on his desk and taking a small dose of one; it'd been enough time that it should be safe. "What took ya so looong?" He gave a big pout, an expression he definitely wouldn't have made without the fuzziness from the drugs.

He shifted over slightly as Gryphon came over and sat down, peering up through squinted eyes. It felt awfully bright in the room; he was starting to get a headache. "Can ya turn off the light?" he mumbled, waving a hand. The light through the window would be enough. Assuming Gryphon did, and came back to sit, Kodi reached up and looped his arm around his new human heater, pulling him down into the blankets with him. Ohh, he was all nice and warm; Kodi glomped onto him, holding himself tight against Gryphon's chest, hopefully not bumping his wings in the process. "More fun now," he mumbled, shivering. "I'm gonna steal all'a yer body heat." For once, he wasn't actually thinking darker, more intent thoughts - he just wanted a warm body to hold. "Bein' sick suuucks," he whined.

"Here I am." He grinned a little and watched Kodi take some more medicine. "I was busy wasting time." A chuckle jumped out of his mouth at the almost comedic pout he was now viewing on the boy's face; he seemed a bit out of it. Hopefully he wouldn't puke or anything.

When Kodi requested that Gryph turned off the light, he scanned the room and nodded, laying his eyes on the light switch, which he went to flick off. The room wasn't pitch black now, the light outside illuminated the room still, but it wasn't so bright or intense. He went to go sit back down, but let Kodi pull him nearer, smirking again. He quickly rearranged his wings underneath his shirt so they were as compact against his back as possible, as the boy attached himself to his chest. Gryph flinched a little at the touch; he was ice-cold. "Fucking hell Kodi, you're frozen." He enclosed the boy in his arms, he needed as much warmth as possible.

He scoffed, "I can feel that." He was tempted to get his wings out and wrap them around the icey-cold boy as well, but that would involve moving away again and taking his shirt off... too much effort.

Busy wasting-!? "You were wastin' time while I was here sufferin' an' cryin' for help?!" he growled, brow furrowing. He almost looked confused. "That ain't... That ain't nice," he whined. What a cruel person! Kodi was starting to wonder if maybe he should have texted Oriel after all. He wondered if Gryph would even help, or just stand there...

Well, at least he turned off the lights. Kodi gave a sigh of relief and let his eyes open more, glad for the change. "Well, at least you can follow directions..." he mumbled. And at least he wasn't resisting being pulled in. "Heh... I gotcha in bed now, don't I?" he smirked, pressing his face into Gryphon's chest. The other boy even wrapped his arms around him, which made Kodi shiver and huddle closer. "Shit yeah I am! I wouldn't've asked you over if I wasn't." Nope, because that's all this guy was good for, was for body heat.

He shivered for a little while longer before he finally started to feel warmer, and relaxed into the cuddling. Yep... He'd probably regret this later, but at least it was effective. "So, after I'm all better, you gonna let me get you back in here for other things, or what?" he asked, peering up with a spark of intent. "Or are you gonna play the stupid hard-to-get game?" Something Kodi wasn't going to get used to... Maybe.

Kodi was complaining like nobody's buisness... ok, maybe it was a bit of a dick move to waste time, but the reaction was funny! Right? "You weren't dyin' or anythin'." He said calmly, still smiling... but it was mean. "Look, I'm sorry." He looked the shorter boy in the eye, wondering if he would even remember half of this.

He huffed out a few laughs - nothing loud - at what Kodi had said. This probably wasn't what the other boy had had in mind before when he said about wanting Gryph in his bed, but in Gryphon's opinion, this was better than that.

The low temperature of Kodi's body concerned Gryph to quite a large extent. He was all for joking, but he also felt more inclined to actually... look after the guy as well. That was the point of him being there, right? The shivering wasn't nice to feel either, so Gryph was glad when it died down. When Kodi spoke again, he looked down at the boy nestled in his chest, grinning slightly, "You're just gonna have t'wait an' see, aren't you?" In all honesty, Gryphon wasn't even sure what the situation was at the moment, I mean... this was only their second meeting. He knew next to nothing about Kodi except from the unreliable rumours and what he had picked up from here and there. So... playing 'hard-to-get' seemed like the better idea. He didn't want to be getting in bed with a psycho after all.

"How'd you know I wasn't dyin'?" Kodi grumbled in response, crossing his arms and pouting his lips like a grumpy child. "I coulda been bleedin' all over my floor an' you'd've found my cold dead body by the time you finally got here." Yes... He was complaining for all his worth. Why not? He glared up at the apology, but upon seeing the sincerity in Gryph's eyes, it relaxed slightly. "Yeah, well, just... Get here faster next time!" he mumbled, averting his gaze.

Because there would definitely be a next time. And next time, Kodi would not be so patient. There would be punishment if he took so long again!

At least this felt nice now. Kodi felt himself getting warmer, which was a fucking relief. Still, he grabbed a nearby blanket and tossed it over them, clutching onto Gryphon's shirt. "Oh, you're gonna break eventually, just you wait..." he mumbled against his chest. It was really weird... Kodi, obviously, wasn't one to cuddle nearly any of his lovers, let alone near-strangers. It was definitely the drugs making him do it. And the fact that Gryph was actually putting up with it, putting up with a snarky, unappreciative, grumpy guy like Kodi was just just... Weird. Kodi was used to the only people being able to put up with him being those that were just as messed up as he was. And so far, Gryphon didn't seem damaged, just... Teasing.

"Mmff.... You should have brought some food with you," he grumped, being even more difficult. He would've demanded some now, but he was too comfortable where he was, he didn't want Gryphon to leave. "I'll have t'eat you instead." He latched his teeth onto Gryph's bicep without warning, obviously a little maddened from his fever. Kodi was grinning.

Gryph simply raised his eyebrows; there were multiple reasons why he didn't come running to Kodi's bedside, none of which he could be fucked to explain. So he just chuckled, it was amusing to see an almost-adult act like a 6-year-old. To be met with those sharp eyes... wasn't exactly pleasant, but when their intensity waned, Gryph relaxed as well.

"I'm gonna break? Good luck with that." He spoke gently, and with his words laced with soft laughter, only just able to make out what the other boy had said, his voice muffled. He was enjoying this little back-and-forth that they were having, it was pretty entertaining. When Gryph was ill, he loved to slob around and order people about, so he kind of... understood why Kodi was acting like he was.

Speaking of the devil, he now had another remark to make. "If I'd known you wanted some food, I would've eaten it before I got here." He joked, there was always something. Before Gryph could really register what Kodi had said, he felt the boy clamp his teeth onto his arm. Restraining a cry of pain by grunting instead, Gryphon tensed sharply, trying not to struggle for the sake of his arm. "Kodi-" he hissed, "-what the fuck are you doin'?" He tugged on his arm gently, trying to get the boy to release his jaw. As long as his didn't sharper his teeth, it would be fine. Probably.

Gryphon grunted again; he didn't know what Kodi's game was, he just wanted him off of his arm. "Jesus, Kodi," he breathed, teeth clenched, "I can go get you some food if that's what you want, just-" he hissed in pain, "Oh for fuck's sake.'

"You are. No one can resist me when I want t'seduce someone," Kodi slurred, prodding a finger against Gryphon's chest. Of course, that was far from the truth, but Kodi was a vain bastard sometimes, and he liked to think he was irresistible when he wanted to be. Like... Yeah, when he was gross and sniffly with a flu. At least Gryphon had come, right? That meant something. "You... Wouldn't've come today if you didn't want something from me," he snerked with a toothy grin.

His grin faded into another scowl. "Ohhh, you're just a mean fucker, aren't you?" he growled. "Makin' fun an' teasin' a poor sick boy!" Yep, Gryphon was cruuuel, Kodi totally didn't deserve this kind of treatment! Gryph deserved to get bitten, yep, and Kodiak gave a grunt of satisfaction as he latched on. He didn't let go, either, as Gryph wiggled his arm, instead just holding on tight. "'m ea'in oo," he spoke, his voice muffled so one could barely make out "I'm eating you". Kodi was at least smart enough not to let his fangs out; that would hurt a lot more.

The promise of food, though, made Kodi ease his teeth off, and he licked his lips, eyeing the indents he'd made in Gryph's skin. "You taste good," he growled with a sly flutter of his lashes. "I'm full.... For now." Mostly he just didn't want to loose his body heater. He cuddled up close again, letting his eyes close as he relaxed. "An' I'm really sleepy...." he mumbled, yawning. The meds were finally really kicking in.

When Kodi's finger made contact with his chest, Gryph looked at the boy (again) with raised eyebrows. "So seductive." he quipped, smirking. "And I thought you asked me t'come here." He paused for a moment, "Not that I mind or anythin'." His last statement trailed off into almost incoherent mumbles, at a loss of confidence.

That medicine really seemed to be affecting Kodi badly, his mood was swinging like a wrecking ball... unless that was what he was usually like. He rolled his eyes at the growls, Kodi was just being pissy now.

Gryph couldn't really make sense of the words practically inhaled into his skin, besides, he was still distracted from the shock of having someone latch their teeth onto his arm. At least the mention of food got him off again; once he had moved away enough, Gryph shook his arm gently. Kodi hadn't bit hard enough to make anymore damage than a little indent, which was lucky. "I do, do I?" He took that as a compliment.

Gryph let Kodi practically use him as a human blanket, and he wrapped himself back around the little drugged up psychopath. He was nice to be around, when he was tired. If anything, he looked kind of... adorable.

Kodi poked Gryph's chest once more for effect, nodding slowly and grinning at his 'agreement'. "Damn straight," he drawled. He huffed at what the boy said next, letting out a low grumble from his throat. "Well, it'd take a special someone t'just come over and offer their body to a sick bastard," he snarked. Kodi's voice trailed off and he grumbled again at Gryphon's generosity. "Yeah well... Good," he stated awkwardly. "'Cause you ain't leavin' anytime soon." Not if Kodi could help it. He was finally warm. That was the only reason, yep.

His mood definitely did swing on a regular basis, but the medicine was intensifying it a bit. For one, Kodi was definitely never this openly affectionate, especially to someone he hardly knew. Even if he had a weird way of showing affection. Like biting.

Which was obviously a form of affection that Gryph wasn't used to. Kodi eyed the bitten area before peeking up at the boy's face, giving a confirmative nod. "Yep. Like chicken," he announced. Then he let out a giggle; he was trying to be funny.

But he was fading fast, and soon Kodi's eyes wouldn't open again; he was about to be out like a light. "Nnnngg... You.... Don't go anywhere," he mumbled, clinging more tightly to Gryphon. "I'm gonna just... Take a nap..." And with that, he drifted into unconsciousness, mumbling about ridiculously handsome boys and how they always ruined his life.

Gryph didn't want to both get hung up on the details and logistics of everything the blonde boy was saying, Kodi was too absent to take any of it in, probably. And he had honestly only come because Kodi asked him to, not because he actually enjoyed the other boy's company or anything... nope... he was fine with not leaving in the near future, if anything, that statement made him smile a little.

He hadn't really been shown affection in any kind of manner recently, unless hugging Phen counted... but he wouldn't consider being bitten on the arm affectionate. Strange, and a bit painful, yes, but probably not affectionate. He had to chuckle at Kodi's next comment; oh, the irony. He was tempted to follow it up with a bird noise of some kind, but it didn't feel... appropriate.

"I won't," he assured, smiling gently at the boy in his arms, who was slowly getting heavier. He gently re-adjusted his arms as the boy trailed off, mumbling quietly... he'd never done something like this before. Ok, he'd cuddled before, but no-one had ever... fallen asleep in his arms. It made butterflies in the chest, gave him a warm feeling inside. He himself relaxed as well, and slowly began fading into sleep.

Kodi's dreams were.... Well, actually not too bad, for the first time in a while. He usually woke up at least once during the night from some sort of nightmare or troublesome images; fortunately he fell back asleep easy, but it still sucked. He was just so often full of violent and disturbing thoughts that they easily made their way into his dreams. So the fact that he slept soundly without waking until several hours later was a relief, and unusual.

He stirred quietly, at first not remembering that he had someone there with him. The first thing Kodi noticed was he felt a little better than he had earlier, and that he wasn't cold. At this revelation, he popped an eye open and was met with his bedmate still there, Kodi's arms wrapped loosely around his waist.

Gryphon seemed like he might still be asleep, so Kodi let himself gawk for a moment, taking in his features so close to him, watching his slow breathing, the rise and fall of his broad chest pressed against Kodi's. A weird stirring of affection that Kodi was not used to tried to worm its way into his chest, and he squashed it down, instead letting out a grumble and shifting against Gryph. "You're smotherin' me," he mumbled, pushing a hand against Gryphon's face. "It's too warm now!" Yep... Affection was not something that had ever come easy to him, and now that the medicine had mostly made its way through his system, Kodi wasn't so openly needy and felt disturbed by the memories of how he'd been acting earlier. At least it wasn't as bad as he'd been with Oriel... Nope, he wasn't going to think about that. "Make yourself useful and get me some food," he mumbled, rolling onto his stomach with a groan.
