Why was Kodi doing this?  It was stupid.  Stupid stupid stupid.  Then again, he'd been doing a lot of stupid things lately, like drinking all that cold medicine and practically poisoning himself to the point of spilling way too many things to Oriel.  Not to mention that feathered moron that was... Nope, not going to think about Gryphon and the weird things he did to him.

Anyway, Kodi didn't think he could get a lot stupider by this point, so it was with a resigned sigh that he made his way to Oriel's room, bag of various eyeliners, polishes, and other such items in hand, to give his so-called 'friend' a makeover.  Kodi wasn't an expert, at least he didn't consider himself such, but he'd been putting the shit on himself for so long that he was confident he could make Oriel look... Fine.  It wasn't like he wasn't fucking hot already.

He reached the door and knocked, running a hand through his mussy blonde hair.  When Oriel opened, he peeked inside, a suspicious scowl in place.  "Boytoy isn't here, is he?" he asked.  "'Cause I ain't stickin' around if I have t'put up with you two bein' all mushy an' shit."

First it was nail-painting with Erik, now it was guy-liner-ing with Kodi. How much more of a girl could Oriel get? Well, he was enjoying it at least. Oriel didn't know shit about make-up or nothing like that, so what better way to learn than to go to his super-gay friends? Okay, that was unfair to think, but he was truthfully a little bit more than giddy at the concept that he even had friends he could go to with this shit and not feel like an utter goof about it.

Ever since Sayi had painted up his face while he was sleeping in class, it'd been on his mind of exactly how much more awesome he might be if it were actually done right. That was supposed to have been the plan for Halloween but clearly, those plans had fallen through.

It was just happenstance that he convinced Kodi to come over and do this deed for him. A conversation about Oriel's newly jizz-painted nails turned into a request for Kodi to do Oriel's eyes. And that was why Kodi was coming over this day. Oriel hopped off the bed and answered the door, leaning against it like a giddy child. "Hey…" he said like a dope. Oriel turned to look in the room(as if he didn't already know it was empty), then back to Kodi. "Nah, Phoenix is at work until the afternoon, so you'll be spared the mushy-loveliness." He motioned for Kodi to come in then closed the door only to hop himself right back on the bed with an excited bounce.

Kodi couldn't draw worth shit, but he'd been lining his eyes every day for long enough that he'd become quite the expert. Hell, he could probably do it with both eyes closed, he was so used to it. He'd never really done it for another person, though - who would want him to? He wasn't exactly friendly. So the thought of doing it to Oriel was... Exciting? Mm, maybe not exciting... But definitely something he was sort of looking forward to and trying out to see if he could beautify the guy.

He blinked upon seeing Oriel's rather giddy face, amazed by the guy's excitement and energy. Kodi was still a little wary around him, ever since the delirious incident, but he was going to forget it as much as he could; hopefully Oriel wouldn't bring it up. "Someone's excited," he grunted, trying to hold back a smile; his mouth still twitched up. "Good. 'Cause you two make me sick sometimes." He huffed and came inside as Oriel motioned him to, placing his little bag on the bed as Oriel hopped on like a kid that had had too much sugar.

He wavered just a moment before settling down himself, beginning to pull out various pencils. Of course, he normally just went with an ebony color himself, but he'd brought along a variety of other shades - chocolate, navy, slate - just for... Fun? Eh, whatever. He peered up and leaned in close to get a good look at the color of Oriel's eyes. Kodi blinked; he's always thought they were dark brown, but they were more of a deep, pretty amber up close like this. "You have pretty eyes," he commented, voice flat and almost professional. "Wish I had lashes like yours. Prob'ly wouldn't look right on me though." He chuckled and pulled up his dark brown liner. "Think I'll start out with this one. Uh..." He tilted his head. "I guess just... Close your eyes?" How did girls do this shit?

So maybe Oriel was being a little too obvious, but then again, the guy wasn't exactly subtle in his natural state. The boy could go from a stone cold stare, to a sly, manipulative smile, to a lustful gaze all over the course of five minutes and then turn around to surprise you with a childish, giddy grin of excitement. His tendency for extreme mood swings wasn't anything surprising to those who knew him well and for the most part were tolerable so long as he was allowed a moment to recenter himself.

For the moment, though, Oriel was excited to have his good friend over for bonding and stuffs. And make-up. Oriel was pretty stupidly excited about that and he couldn't really explain why. Maybe it was the 3-5 danishes he'd eaten that morning?

He laughed at Kodi's comment, just smiling like a dumb kid. "Ain't my fault you can't hand all the loooooove in the room." Yes, Oriel was prodding the other boy like a 5-year-old.

Oriel looked over the bag of stuff that Kodi had brought like it was the most foreign thing in the world. He wanted to absorb as much out of this experiment as he could so he didn't have to rely on Kodi for it next time.

Oriel smiled with a "thanks" at the compliment, batting his lashes for extra effect. But…was he really trusting Kodi with sharp pointy object next to his eyeball? A guy who Oriel frequently described as a psycho-bitch? Yup! Oriel obediently closed his eyes and let the other boy get to work.

Kodi pretty much had an emotional range of irritated to mad to rage, so he couldn't exactly relate with Oriel. Although.... Lately he'd been oddly calm, which was weird, but.... Sort of nice. He wasn't exactly sure why it was, but... He wasn't fighting it.

Didn't mean he was going to act like a kid like Oriel was, though. "You need t'cut back on the caffeine or sugar or somethin'," he mumbled, shaking his head.

Kodi stuck out his tongue and made a face. "Yeah, just remind me not t'get within ten yards of you guys on Valentine's Day," he grumped. "I might die of diabetes from all the gross... Sweet... Stuff." Blech. Lovers. Kodi wasn't jealous. Nope. "Where's he workin', anyway?" he asked, sort of curious. Phoenix didn't seem like the working type to him. Then again... Kodi had never had a job either. Maybe he should look into it... Like anyone would hire him.

"Ugh, don't do that, s'not fair," Kodi grumbled at Oriel's fluttering. He hated his squinty eyes; he'd been teased about them constantly growing up, it was one of the reasons he wore eyeliner to make them look at least a little rounder. When Oriel obeyed, he popped the lid off of his liner and leaned in close, holding one hand against Oriel's chin for support while he carefully went to work tracing the other along the lashline of his right eye. "Don't move or nothin'," he drawled. "Don't wanna poke your eye out on accident." As he started on the inside and gradually moved out, he tried to think of something to talk about to break the quiet. "So... Uh... Have any hot hookups t'gossip about or somethin'?" he asked, a trace of sarcasm in his voice. "Isn't that what bitches do when they do this sorta stuff?"

"Aint' happening. After all, I need the energy to please my waifu when he come home."  Yes, Oriel was going to play up his relationship status as much as possible just to annoy Kodi.  After that night when Kodi got sick, and consequently spilled everything and more about his feeeeeelings(Oriel knew they were there somewhere), there was no way the antagonistic boy wasn't going to use that against him.

Not too much though.  Wouldn't want to actually scare Kodi away. 

"Uhmm...pet store. The small one downtown." There was another one, bigger, but Oriel hadn't ever been inside.  

Oriel too had been considering getting a job of sorts, get some extra income so he didn't feel like a kept husband or something from Phoenix's intended spoiling, but honestly, Oriel didn't even know where to start. What could he even do? Fast food and repetitive, tedious work might be the best he could get. But…contrary to popular opinion, Oriel did have career goals….or at least dreams.

"Don't do whaaaat?" Oriel taunted innocently, as if he didn't know what Kodi was talking about. Oriel was trying really hard to keep that bubble of excitement down, he knew he had to stay still for this to work, but good god it was maddening. At least Kodi was giving him something to talk about. He had to suppress a laugh at the topic choice, though. "How the fuck should I know, I ain't a girl." Though the fact that Oriel even had someone to gossip to was making him even more giddy. "Hmmm…..Well, there's Erik, of course. Tak, the chick who had a kid last year?" Oriel thought a moment….there actually hadn't been very many, at least not recently. Being on reserve for his own special someone had definitely slowed down the promiscuous boy. Though that didn't mean he hadn't had ideas about one or two or 10 people. "You asking 'cause you're interested, or you got something you wanna share?"

A low growl emitted from the back of Kodi's throat as he rolled his eyes. "Waifu? Really?" he grunted, keeping his voice scathing and sarcastic. Nope, he wasn't jealous. Why would he be jealous? The things he'd said when he was sick were just ramblings from a fever, nothing more. Oriel shouldn't think anything of them. Nope.

"Pet store?" he snorted. "Has he killed anythin' yet?" Phen seemed hardly able to take care of himself, let alone other living creatures. That surely wouldn't last long.

Kodi had been looking into applying for something at the bookstore downtown, but... He hadn't done it yet. Maybe he would soon. He liked having money, to buy... Things... And at the moment, he was running pretty empty unless he started pick-pocketing from fellow students (which he was definitely not above).

"What, you're not?" he asked as though incredulous. For effect, he clawed his hand against Oriel's chest, feeling for any non-existent breasts. "Well, fuck me, you had me fooled." Kodi snickered at his own joke, before going back at his work, finishing the dark brown liner on the outside of Oriel's eye, extending it past the edge a bit for a nice cat-like look. He'd go over the line with a darker color in a bit. Mm... Yeah, Erik he knew about, of course, so he just nodded at this fact. The second name was slightly more interesting. "What, that Indian slut?" he asked with a raised brow. "Ya sure that's safe? She probably has all kinds'a diseases." Not to mention, what if Oriel got her pregnant? Yech. Kodi didn't want to think about it. "Ew... I ain't hookin' up with you again." He sometimes forgot that Oriel was into girls too. But honestly, that wouldn't keep him away, Oriel was too... Ugh.

"Me? Share what?" he asked innocently, a certain winged boy coming to mind. "I ain't got nothin'." His mouth was set into a firm, untruthful line as he finished one eye and moved to the other. "Been too busy beatin' people t'fuck 'em."

"Yup, just you wait. One if these days I'm going to get Phoenix a boob job and put him in a dress," Oriel said with a laugh. That was definitely one of Oriel's more secret/not-so-secret fantasies.

The jealousy in Kodi's voice was more obvious than he thought and only worked to encourage Oriel even more...just to see how much gushy-love-love stuff he could take before completely snapping.

Concerning Phoenix's job, however, Oriel had to consider that a moment. "If he had, then he's hiding it really well." Oriel imagine that a sensitive guy like his boyfriend would have cried his eyes out any told Oriel right away if he fucked up that badly.

Oriel smiled. Considering Oriel was putting on makeup now and was probably just a hair's width away from putting on lingerie, one had to wonder. Vain little Oriel figured he may as we'll be the sexiest a scruffed man in lipstick and eyeliner there ever was.

"Hey, be nice! Tak's got me through some pretty hard times." Oriel would defend his friends wholeheartedly, even if it was against other friends. "....She didn't deserve the shit she had to go through," he mumbled to himself, through with Kodi so close, he was bound to hear him anyway. "And you don't got to worry, she's clean. If anything, I'm worried 'bout passing her something, considering how I fuck your ass."

The time in Kodi's voice told Oriel that there was definitely something there to tell. "You sure? Gotta say I doubt it seeing how fucking...how should I say it...not pissed at the world you been lately." Even today, especially today, Oriel noticed there was something different about his disposition. "You gonna spill it, or do I gotta beat it out of you?" Or fuck it out, same difference.

The image of Phen that Oriel described made Kodi cringe and stick out his tongue in a 'blech' gesture, showing off the shiny metal stud pierced into it. "I don't think I'll ever understand your tastes," he mumbled. Although, Phoenix was awfully girly-looking already...

Jealousy? Nooooooooooooooo.

"I can go in the shop an' poison somethin', make him cry like a baby," he snorted, tracing to the outer corner of Oriel's other eye. Okay, even Kodi wasn't that cruel (probably), but he enjoyed the idea of tearing Oriel's boyfriend down. Probably not the best idea to say such things in front of Oriel, but...

And now there was this chick. He should have known, he'd heard all sorts of rumors about her, and Oriel was the type to go after someone like her, right? Fuck. "She's just another bitch," he grumbled, finishing off with the brown liner and placing the cap back on before rummaging around for the dark black pencil. "Ain't you worried about knockin' her up again?" Kodi, fortunately, didn't have to worry about such things. His eyes narrowed and he snorted, holding Oriel's chin his his hand for a moment and tilting it back and forth to make sure his work was even. "Guess that's a risk you'll have t'take," he grumbled. In a moment of spontaneity, he leaned in and landed a quick, wet kiss on Oriel's lips before diving into the next part of the boy's eye make-up.

Grrrrr.... Oriel was too perceptive for his own good. Either that or Kodi was easier to read than he thought. "I ain't always mad at the world," he mumbled, tracing a thin line of black right against Oriel's upper lashline. "Just most of the time." He growled lowly, dropping his hand along with the pencil and giving a heavy sigh. Kodi knew there was no way he'd get out of this now. "I made out with a fuckin' hottie," he mumbled vaguely, going at Oriel's other eye with a vengeance. "Don't mean nothin'."

That wouldn't be the first time, nor the last time someone mentioned the strangeness of Oriel's tastes. Once upon a time Oriel had actually been troubled by it. It'd only been within the last several months that he'd actually come to terms with some of the stranger shit. Though he was sure Kodi didn't want to hear about those.

"Man, not only picking on girls and the weak, but even on helpless little stinky animals too?" Oriel would've shook his head too, but eyeliner. And eyeliner pencil too millimeters from his eye. "What's that shit they say? How the mighty have fallen?" Kodi seemed to have gone generally in that direction ever since Oriel beat the shit out of him. Or maybe it was when he stole their first kiss. Or maybe it was when he finally fucked the shorter boy.

"Not at all. Because unlike some idiots, I know how to fucking pull-out." Oriel would never be so careless. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he screwed up and brought a kid in the world when he couldn't take care of it. Or when he just plain didn't want a kid. Oriel already knew what that was like and wouldn't wish it upon an innocent newborn.

The kiss had come quick and Oriel barely had time to respond, just slightly pursing out his lips when it came and opening his eyes when it broke. Then he closed them again without a word. Oriel would get him back later.

Feeling the liner trace over his lips was a strange feeling. But having it applied to him was an even stranger one. It sent an anxious tickle down his spine, yet was somehow relaxing at the same time. He wondered how he looked. "'Made-out?'" Oriel repeated the unnatural use of that word. He didn't think Kodi even knew the meaning, everything just seemed to go straight to fucking with him. "Does this 'hottie' have a name?" Because it obviously didn't seem fair that Kodi got the names of Oriel's playmates, but Oriel couldn't get this apparent "make-out hottie".

Kodi resisted the urge to growl at what Oriel was saying. He really, really needed to get into a decent fight one of these days. It'd been way too long. The southern boy craved it. "Shut up," he grumbled, though his voice was tired. "I like bein' able t'go off campus, I've been tryin' t'be good lately. Don't tempt me." He knew it was only a matter of time.

He snorted. "Don't that shit, like, not always work?" he asked, continuing his work with delicacy. He just... Didn't want to think about Oriel banging a chick. Phoenix he was... Well, okay, not fine with, but at least it was something Kodi understood. Speaking of... "Has your pet complained 'boutchu fuckin' other people yet?" he drawled. "Or is he too much of a wuss t'fight it?" Surely Phen didn't like that Oriel slept with other people. They couldn't last forever.

"Alright, you can open your eyes now," he said, taking Oriel's chin in his hands again as he studied his work on the upper lids. It... Looked good. Really good. "I can do your waterline if you want, but it'll prob'ly be uncomfortable." He didn't speak for a moment about his mysterious new 'lover', instead staring down at the pencil in his hand as Oriel spoke. Finally,"Heh... You won't believe it. His... Name's Gryphon, like a fuckin' mythical creature." He snorted. "Like someone else we know." He hadn't even realized the coincidence until now. He shook his head and shrugged, adopting his usual scowl again; he hadn't realized his features had gone soft. "Moron doesn't want t'fuck yet. I'm just keepin' him 'round 'til I break 'im." ... He felt like this was a lie somehow. But it wasn't!

"Fine, fine…." Though Oriel could definitely understand the sentiment. He himself had been doing what he could to stay out of trouble lately. And it was nice being able to go off campus. He never realized how much he missed that freedom until it was finally given back to him.

Oriel rolled his eyes. "That's what you get for being fucking gay," he muttered, not intending to be malicious. "There's a bunch of different shit you gotta know for fucking a woman that you don't kneed to know for guys."

"Why do you fucking care?" he asked. "If you got a problem with it, I can always stop fucking you." Geeze, everybody and their judgement, Erik had done the same thing. What worked for other people didn't necessary work for them and they were fine with it! And until the moment Phoenix told him otherwise, Oriel could only continue believing that.

Oriel fluttered his eyes open, looking at Kodi's eyes looking at him. He couldn't resist. Oriel leaned in and planted one right there on his lips. Payback, definitely. "What's a waterline?" he asked, completely clueless about all things make-up. When he heard the name, however, Oriel backed himself away and gave Kodi a look of pure surprise. "G-Gryph? Fucking turkey-bird-man Gryph?" That was probably the last thing Oriel was expecting to hear……actually, no. The next phrase was the last thing Oriel expected to hear. "And you haven't fucked him already?" Weeeird.

That's what you get for being fucking gay. A small trill of hurt and guilt hit Kodi's chest at this, and he pulled away slightly, not expecting to be affected quite so hard by something that was obvious. "Yeah, well, it's not like I can help it," he growled, but his voice was weak, sensitive. He'd prayed countless times to stop being attracted to boys. He'd eventually just given up and tried to accept it. But it was still an ongoing problem that he struggled to cope with.

He blinked and refocused on the conversation again, quickly letting his normal scowl fall back in place to hide whatever he might still be feeling. "Just askin'," he grumbled, resisting the urge to 'accidentally' prod the pencil too close to Oriel's eye. "You ever think he might be too scared t'tell you otherwise?" he couldn't help but go on. "You can be pretty fuckin' terrifying. I wouldn't blame 'im." Kodi didn't know why he was saying this shit. He didn't care! Why would he? It wasn't like he really wanted to be any closer to Oriel...

Mmf. Kodi twitched as Oriel came in and returned his earlier gesture, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lip as they broke apart. No, don't think about fucking, don't do it, not even with Oriel starting to look extra hot with his eyeliner... "It's, uhh... This," he explained, pointing to the inner bit at the bottom of his eye, where he himself had a dark, thick line of kohl. He was about to lean in and start on it when Oriel suddenly reacted to the name he'd offered, much more than Kodi had expected. "What... Wait, you know 'im?" he sighed. "Of fuckin' course you do..." Because that was just what Kodi needed. He had to wonder what the unflattering nickname was about. "Well... No," he admitted with a low growl. "Fucker's a virgin, guess he's waitin' for someone special or somethin'." It frustrated him, but wasn't going to stop him from pursuing the hot birdboy. "Now sit still. I gotta finish this so I can leave."

Oriel met Kodi's uncharacteristically meek voice with a confused look. "I ain't saying you can." Oriel had no reason to believe that Kodi was anything but comfortable with his sexuality considering how many partners he had in any given week. He'd never been exposed to the kind of intense religious stigma that Kodi had gotten just for being born a particular way. However, had he known, Oriel might have seen the parallels that existed when compared to his own childhood.

He knew Kodi had problems, just not exactly what they all were. Oriel had only been given privilege to a few glimpses into what made Kodi Kodi.

Oriel let loose a throaty growl at Kodi's invasive questions. "Fuck! Why does everybody keep wanting to tell me how to run my own fucking relationship? If it becomes a problem, I'll deal with it! But it ain't a problem, so quit assuming you know what's best for us!" The part of Oriel that was "fuckin' terrifying" might've been showing through right then. He took a deep breath, clenching his jaw in frustration. Oriel didn't like being told that there might be something wrong with what he was doing, as if he hadn't considered it.

Oh, so that's what a waterline was. But no, that wasn't important, this little bit about Kodi and Gryph was faaar more interesting and important than getting his stupid waterline done. Oriel leaned in with pressing eyes. "No, no. Tell me more 'bout this guy. I mean, I know him, but just from the dance team, kinda." Oriel wasn't sure if he should mention the part about Gryph and Phoenix being old-best friends. But this was good! If Gryph and Kodi got together, then Oriel wouldn't have to worry about that turkey going after Phoenix anymore. "Are you…you know, interested in being that "someone special or somethin'?"

The reason Kodi hooked up with so many people as often as he could was so he could try to finally accept that his behavior was alright. Or, well... Also, he figured, he was going to hell anyway, so why not at least have as much sex as possible before that happened? It wasn't like his afterlife could be worse. ".... Sorry." Shit, had he just apologized? Kodi growled and looked away. "I mean... I know you know. I ain't gotta tell you." For a second, Kodi almost spilled more information about his past. His lips were open, his eyes tense, but after a moment he went slack and shook his head. There was no reason for Oriel to care, and no reason for Kodi to tell him.

The growl coming from Oriel himself made Kodi peek up, feeling a thrill from the edge in the boy's voice. He smiled thinly. "Well, shit, you know I'm just fuckin' fantastic at relationship advice, 'cause I've had so many. I don't know why you wouldn't want t'take my advice." The small danger that had entered the environment did nothing to help Kodi's attraction for Oriel wane. He leaned in and nipped the boy on the ear, forcing himself not to completely leap at the other boy. If there was anything that got him riled up, it was the threat of violence.

He grumbled with frustration as Oriel refused to let him continue his job, scowling at his pursuit of the subject. "What else can I tell you? We make out. That's all." Lies. Well, they did a lot of that, but it wasn't everything. They'd cuddled a few times. Which was... Really, really nice. At the question, he huffed, tensing up his shoulders before letting them fall with a defeated sigh. "Fuck, I don't know! I wanna fuck 'im, but...." Kodi wavered, letting his gaze drop down to the bed, fidgeting with the pencil in his hands. "He drives me crazy," he finally admitted in a low mumble. "Normally I wouldn't put up with someone t'just... Kiss... Shit, I'm fuckin' mental." He risked a glance up at Oriel, biting his lip. "How'd... How'd you feel when you first met your boyt- Phoenix?" Not that Gryphon was going to be his boyfriend or anything. No one could put up with Kodi that much.
