This was... Nice.  More so than Kodi had expected.  After their 'date' the other day, followed by... That night, which Kodi thought about far more often than he would like to admit, he'd been seeking Gryphon out more, wanting to spend more time with him and just... Get to know each other better.  It was strange for the normally aggressive, uncaring (or at least apparently) boy, but... Not unpleasant.  He was just going to let this go naturally and see what happened.  So far, he had no indication off ill-intent from Gryph, so... He was fairly certain the other boy's feelings were as genuine as they seemed.

The two of them had the place to themselves, which was great.  Kodi was perched on the edge of the auditorium stage, legs dangling over the side as he listened to the music Gryph had playing.  Kodi had been interested to hear this 'k-pop' that Gryphon had brought up before, and... He was pleased to realize that it wasn't all that bad.  Definitely something that would take some getting used to, but Kodi was enjoying it.  It helped that Gryph seemed to have endless dance movements to go along with the music - Kodi couldn't take his eyes off of him, his smooth transitions and fluid, graceful steps.  It was captivating.

"Ya make me wish I could move like that," he teased, rolling onto his stomach and propping his head up on his hands with his elbows tucked underneath him.  "I think I'd trip if I tried anythin' like it."  Nope, the weight room was where he got his workout.  "Why doncha take a break and c'mere?" he asked with a grin, wiggling a finger at the older boy and pursing out his lips.

Gryphon had had huge difficulties trying to think of anyone or anything that wasn't Kodi. And it made him feel a bit creeped out, but he couldn't help it! It wasn't the worst, but when you're actually trying to concentrate for once and your head won't sit straight on your shoulders, its a bit confusing. He hadn't felt this way in a long time... making it pretty hard to actually register. But it all felt... real. Authentic. Which was why he had smiled every time that Kodi had crossed his mind.

He was definitely feeling self-concious as he improvised his dancing, and sometimes slipping in the choreography that went with the song. Of course, Gryph'd performed in front of crowds before, but when it was one person that you... actually cared about the judgement of... you felt more tense. But just being in the company of Kodi was something he wanted, so he dealt with his nerves and just let his body flow.

The song continued to play as Gryph smiled at his... Kodi, and what he had said, his movements still rhythmical, but not as much as before, just little jolts that beat with the music. "I'm glad that I can." He replied, it was one of the only things he would thank his father for doing - getting him into all of those dancing lessons. It definitely paid off, even if it was in nothing more than personal enjoyment. He chuckled, he almost wanted to teach the blonde boy to dance, but it came so naturally to him... he knew he'd probably get a little frustrated at his flat-footed companion.

Gryphon almost rolled his eyes, grinning widely at the invitation. He strolled over and came down to Kodi's level, putting a hand under his chin as he gave the blonde boy a short, sweet kiss. He was a little out of breath from his... performing, maybe a short break was a good idea. The music still rang out though, and Gryph sat cross-legged near to Kodi. He was interested to know what the boy thought of Gryph's choice of music. He pointed no-where in particular and glanced down at him, "Like what you hear?"

If Kodi was completely honest with himself, he would admit that he wanted Gryphon to teach him how to dance. But he would likely never say it aloud - he just knew that he'd make a complete idiot out of himself, fumbling around and acting like a klutz, until he lost his temper and all the fun would be gone. Nope, it was better just to enjoy watching his... Watching Gryph, and maybe try to learn on his own or something, where he wouldn't get frustrated at the other boy.

He grinned and even let out a small bubble of a giggle as Gryphon came over, allowing the older boy to take his chin in his hand and seal their lips together for a moment, which wasn't long enough for Kodi, but it would do for now. "You're all sweaty," he teased, swiping at a strand of damp hair against Gryph's brow. "I should probably go work out later. I feel like a slug watchin' ya right now." He switched onto his back as Gryph sat down and adjusted the back of his head to prop against the boy's knee, humming as he looked up at the ceiling. At the question, he pondered a moment and shrugged. "It ain't bad," he admitted, fingering the hem of Gryph's pants. He snickered a moment later, though. "But I gotta say, the English could use some work. 'Ready t'bingo?' Really?" He laughed again, shaking his head and peeking up at the other boy. "What's that even supposed t'mean?"

Of course, he made assumptions. But it was still funny. Kodi yawned and stretched his arms up towards the ceiling, smacking his lips as he brought them back down again. "So, what's your most advanced move then?" he asked curiously. "Or... Whatever you call it." Gryph was awfully agile - Kodi wouldn't be surprised if he could do, like, b-twists and aerials.

Maybe if Gryphon was a little more patient... urgh. He couldn't help but cast his mind back to that day with Melanie - if Kodi got hurt, or upset, or angry, Gryph wouldn't forgive himself. And that was stupid, yes, but he was having a huge difficulty trying to see how he would get over it otherwise.

Oh, that was a compliment. You're all sweaty. Hopefully he didn't smell bad or something... he didn't notice anything, though, so he just left it.

"You are bein' a bit've a lazy ass." He agreed, teasing the boy. Gryph looked down at Kodi, who was now using his knee-cap as a pillow... his hands went over and fiddled with the ends of his dyed hair. He chuckled at Kodi's reply, K-pop wasn't for everyone, after all. And that lyric was a bit weird. "I don't even know..." he tried to think of a decent reason, but bingo? They weren't pensioners. He did, in actual fact, however, know what the song was about. And he had been listening to it a lot more than usual, recently. Which was all he was gonna say.

Gryphon was always improving, working on his moves and getting the flow right. He had edged a little more towards breakdancing recently, and there was something he had been working on. It caused a lot of strain on him at the moment, but he'd be fiiiine. He considered showing Kodi... before nodded and got up, careful the make sure Kodi's head didn't fall ands hit the ground. "There's one thing I've got..." He was a bit hesitant but he was pretty certain Kodi wouldn't be mean. "Hold on a sec."

Gryphon was capable of doing b-twists and similar, but this was a little different. He cleared out into an empty space and calmed himself down a little, because now wasn't the time for tense muscles. Without much ado, he balanced himself on one hand.

It twinged. Gryph frowned, but continued anyway.

Using his other arm for support and a source of momentum, he began to spin, pushing himself around. This was awesome, but something was most definitely up. Either he was doing something wrong, or... he was clueless. But his hand was really starting to hurt now. He stopped spinning after a few moments and stood up from the handstand, curious. It probably showed on his face - he wasn't smiling anymore.

"Heyyy," Kodi growled playfully, swiping at Gryph's face. "Ain't my fault I got two left feet. Otherwise I'd be right there dancin' with ya." He stuck his tongue out, but it quickly disappeared as Gryph began to toy with his hair, and Kodi sighed, feeling... Content. "Feels nice," he mumbled to no one in particular. It was just... Incredibly comforting to have someone there with him, for no reason other than to just spend time together. No expectations, no demands, just... Being. And it was something Kodi was beginning to slowly realize. The music just added to the casual atmosphere, especially with how ridiculous it seemed. Kodi chuckled again. "I liked that one you were playin' earlier... One Shot, or somethin'?" That was the only line he remembered; it had been heavy, with a nice bass and strong beats. He wouldn't mind hearing it again.

Kodi tilted his head forward as Gryph went to stand up, giving a small pout at the loss of his 'pillow' but rolling back over to watch what the boy had up his sleeve. "Oooh, so you are willin' t'show off," he replied with a grin, giving an expectant leer. "Let's see it, then." Had he known Gryphon's doubts, he might have been less likely to egg him on, but... Well, he wanted to see it!

And noooo, he wouldn't laugh at Gryph if he completely messed up... Just might tease him a little before tackling him with reassuring kisses. Because he'd gone as soft as a kitten around this goof. Sigh.

His eyes widened with awe as the boy went into action, watching as he balanced precariously on his arm. "Holy shit," he chuckled, eyes locked onto Gryphon. "That's fuckin' hot." Just the fact that Gryph had the amount of strength and balance required for something like that was a turn-on in itself.

Kodi became even more impressed as he began to spin. Fuck, how the hell did he do that!? He was silent as he watched, until Gryph stopped suddenly. Kodi's brow furrowed; it took him a moment to realize the boy seemed confused or... Uncertain? "Hey, you alright?" Kodi asked, propping himself onto his feet and meandering over. "Why'd you stop? That was amazin'." He planted a quick nibble of a kiss on the boy's jawline, before peering down at Gryph's hands. Hmm...

Gryphon chuckled, smiling down at Kodi - he didn't get the chance to dance with people he actually knew that well really, and when it did happen, it wasn't always brilliant. There was always hope though, and he mainly did it for fun anyways, otherwise, what's the point?

"By BAP," he replied, automatically conjuring up his knowledge, "Yeah, it took some time for me t'like it that much," he admitted, twisting strands of hair around his fingers; it was a little... thick, or heavy, for his tastes, "But yeah, its good." He needed to do things like this more often, just hanging with someone. Even if that 'someone' was Kodi everytime, it was something Gryphon enjoyed, talking and being around someone he liked the company of.

Gryph probably would've smirked or said something if he wasn't upside down and trying not to fall over, as well as worrying about the interesting ache that emanated from his hand... no, it felt more like his wrist. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all... it was too late now, by any means. Once he was vertical again, he tried not to show it too much, even after taking his wrist in his hand for a second - just doing that hurt it a little. He wiped the tightness off of his expression when Kodi pecked his jaw, "Flattered." He replied, grinning stupidly at the compliment. He could sort out his stupid joints later. The winged boy stretched his fingers and twisted his wrist - the pain was extremely noticeable. But he could deal... really.

Gryph walked around Kodi to go hit the music off, "D'you wanna get out of here?" Not to do any funny business, it was just his bird instincts, being inside too long was a little distressing. Call it claustrophobia if you want to be simple about it. He bent down and went to grab his bag, that held a bottle or two of water and some other stuff when - "Fuck!" The profanity came out of his mouth full of breath and not that loud, but he continued to hiss a little after he said it. The bag he had picked up fell back down to the floor with a thud and Gryph's other hand clamped around his wrist, the sharp pain causing it to tense up considerably. There was no way he was covering this up now.

And it felt a lot worse than he had expected.

"BAP," Kodi repeated, chuckling at the name. "These bands have some of the weirdest names." He'd asked about a couple, and they were all just... Strange. But still entertaining. "Mmm... I think I could start t'like it," he admitted. "Maybe you could burn me a CD or somethin'." That'd be cool. And give them something else to bond over... Not that they really needed it, considering how much time they were starting to spend together already. Kodi was starting to consider just inviting Gryph to spend the night all the time...

But now he was getting a little more concerned over Gryph's sudden stopping. The normally smiley, optimistic boy seemed worried, though Kodi wasn't quite sure what over. He did seem to be cradling his wrist a bit, though.... "Gryph, what's wrong?" he asked, worry lacing his voice. He was tempted to take the boy's wrist and look at it himself, but he didn't want to push any boundaries. Kodi wasn't even so sure why he was so concerned - Gryph seemed to want to forget about whatever had happened, so Kodi warily nodded and offered a small smile back.

He stood where he was and watched as Gryphon went to turn off the music, giving a smirk at the possible suggestiveness to his question. "I suppose.. Whadaya wanna do?" Kodi made sure to give a flirtatious wink, even though he was fine with whatever Gryph wanted to do, inside the bedroom or no. He was about to saunter after the other boy when the sudden outburst made him jump, and Kodi froze for a moment before rushing over. "Gryphon?" he demanded, gently grasping around the elbow of the arm that the boy was cradling and looking up with wide, nervous eyes. "You hurt yourself, didn't you?" He peered down at the injured wrist, carefully prying Gryphon's hand off of it to get a better look. From what he could tell, there was definitely some swelling already, which was worrying enough to make the dentokinetic's heart skip a beat.

"We gotta get this looked at," he determined, reaching down to grab Gryph's bag and sling it over his own shoulder. "Try not t'move it." Kodi sighed and looked up at the older boy, his lower lip pouting out. "Fuck, Gryph, I should've realized, with your bone structure..." It was no wonder Gryphon had hurt his wrist; it was a weak, easily injured area already, and someone with Gryph's condition made it even more likely. "Come on. I'm takin' you t'the infirmary." He hated the place, but it was necessary.

Gryphon had to agree, he'd been listening to these bands for years and even though he was used to it, there would always be a new artist that had a really... unique name, if that was a good way of putting it. But making him a CD... it wasn't something that was generally done these days, which sucked. You would just stalk someone's Spotify and listen to their playlists now - but CDs were where it was at. Yes... he would definitely consider that.

"Nothing." That was too fast, and too short a reply to be taken seriously. It was painfully obvious that something was wrong, painfully obvious, and he knew it. But Gryphon couldn't bring himself to tell Kodi, or anything. The thought of even asking for help was stupid. Like he had decided, he would be fine, because he could cope with a little pain.

He heard the footsteps, but his head was still trying to compute why he was in so much pain. He twitched at the touch of Kodi's hand, and at the sound of his own name, wincing at the throbbing that ran through his arm. Gryph let the blonde boy move his limbs, unsure of what to do himself. He had felt this type of pain before and he was really hoping it wasn't what he thought right now. He had a sarcastic comment twisting around in his thoughts at the question, but he only replied by letting out a kind of grunting noise. His head wasn't working properly.

Even with the pain, and the swelling he could see through winced eyes, he was stubborn, shaking his head, "Nng, no. I'll... I'll be fine." He was lying through his teeth, he knew better than anyone that this needed sorting, but going for help wasn't one of his strong points. He moved his fingers, ignoring Kodi's suggestion of keeping it still, and he winced again. Stupid, stupid, stupid... why did he do that damn move in the first place?

And now it sounded to Gryph like Kodi was blaming himself, "Not your... fault." His sentences were short, cut off by a slight lack of concentration. He had to restrain from whining like a little kid, the idea of going to the infirmary was comforting, but annoying at the same time. That would be the second time recently; he'd been that one time with Melanie when she had crashed into that damn tree and cut open her arm, and now he was the casualty. He could only wonder what the doctor would think.

The fact that Gryph was trying so hard to hide his injury made Kodi's brow furrow and a low growl emit from his throat. Gryphon may not have been his... Boyfriend, or anything, but dammit, the southern boy could be concerned if he wanted to! Not that he was usually concerned about people with injuries... Hell, he often inflicted them on other people.

Gryph was being quiet, too, which told Kodi he was holding back just how much it hurt. "Dammit, Gryph, talk t'me," he grumbled, shooting the older boy a stern but worried look before focusing his attention back down on the injured limb. "You're obviously hurt. Stop bein' stubborn an' work with me here."

But there he went, saying he was fine and even having the gall to do just what Kodi told him not to. "Fuck, I said hold still!" he grunted, bopping the boy on the side of the head, lightly. "It hurts for a reason. Don't make it worse." He may have been gruff on the outside, but internally, his stomach was twisting with worry, and it showed in the nervous tension around his eyes.

Kodi sighed, positioning Gryph's arm so it was bent and the injured area was being cradled against the winged boy's chest, to limit movement. "Well, even so, I feel responsible, so I'm takin' you whether ya wanna or not." He gently led Gryphon towards the exit and out into the main hall, where he turned and headed right towards the infirmary, walking slow so Gryph could keep up. His rough attention was being replaced with softer, more obvious worry, and he kept looking up at the older boy, biting his lip and fidgeting with his own hands. "It's... It'll be alright," he finally mumbled as they got close to the infirmary. "Donchu worry." He wasn't sure who he was trying to reassure more.

Gryphon didn't like being injured. Because if he was in a cast, he was usually told not to fly, and it was just looping back around to the time of year when it was safer to be up in the clouds again. He wasn't really thinking about this that much, but it lingered somewhere in his subconscious, telling him that he could be grounded. He was gonna die if that happened.

He didn't mean to be quiet, or to annoy Kodi or anything. He just knew that... he didn't know what. Talking to someone usually helped distract from the pain, so he didn't know why he wasn't doing just that! Except for the fact that his tension was making it hard to do anything, but he was relaxing, slowly but surely.

When he had moved his fingers (before being scolded by Kodi), they felt really stiff and hard to move, on top of the fact that they made his wrist burn like a volcano. He was glad that the dentokinetic was helping him out, seeing as he even kinda knew what he was doing, but man, he was bad at taking instructions.

Gryphon groaned like a 5-year-old under his breath, nooooooooo... he didn't wannaaaaaa~ And Kodi wasn't responsible, no matter how he phrased it. But Gryph was in no state to complain, or protest. Besides, what was he gonna do? Turn around and try to leave? Kodi wouldn't let him, not by a long shot. And he'd end up taking himself there anyway, if he didn't go now, so... ugh, this was unfair.

As they walked, his hand stayed against his chest, not daring to move it. Kodi's reassurances were... sweet, in a sense. But he wasn't worrying that badly - at least not yet anyway. He was trying his best not to think about the future, so he stayed quiet.

Until, "You... you been to the infirmary before?" He wasn't even sure what he was trying to do now, but his breathing was steadier now, and his words a little more coherent and with meaning. Gryph was just making the most of the fact that he could speak without impersonating a dying walrus.

Man, if Gryph was always this bad at following orderssuggestions, Kodi wasn't sure what he'd do with him. The southern boy didn't do well with people not listening to him; fortunately, though, he was just too worried now to get more than mildly frustrated and exasperated.

He did catch the small groan and bumped Gryph again, this time on the shoulder of his uninjured arm. "Oh, you'll be fine," he grumped, resisting the urge to go completely soft just yet.

At least the older boy was doing what Kodi asked now. That was a small relief. He wished Gryphon would say something, though; it just made Kodi worry more, the normally cheeky boy being quiet.

Finally, the question came up, and Kodi grunted in affirmation, giving a curt not. "Yeah... Actually, the day 'fore you came an' saw me when I was sick," he replied. A wry smile touched his lips. "I overdosed on flu medicine an' they had to... Well, it wasn't pretty." If Oriel and Anthony hadn't called for help, Kodi wasn't sure what would have happened. "I try t'stay away as much's I can, though." Medical places just made Kodi... Squeamish.

They arrived at the infirmary and Kodi pushed the door open without knocking, ushering Gryphon inside to sit on one of the cots. While waiting for the nurse or whoever to appear, Kodi sat beside the boy close enough so that their legs touched, leaning in slightly against his shoulder as he pecked Gryph on the cheek. "Now, you be a good boy an' don't make a scene, a'right?" he teased.

"Oh, you'll be fine."

Yeah, Kodi could say that - he wasn't the one with the fucked up wrist.

Hearing the little anecdote brought a smile back to his lips, overdosing, on flu medicine? "You're such an idiot." He could say that now that he was the one with the injury and Kodi was the one helping... yup. And Gryph tried to avoid going to the doctor's like the plague; if he could rough it out on his own, he would. It wasn't anything to do with the actual doctor or the room, it was just... the feeling of being weak, he supposed. It made him feel diminished.

Gryphon sat down on one of the bed-thingy-whatsits and tried not to think about his arm, cconcentrating on the boy beside him instead, "Don't worry, mother, I'll be good." He teased back, smiling and chuckling a little. He glanced around, "Where d'you think the nurse is?" He just wanted out of here as soon as - he was already feeling fidgety and uncomfortable.

Kodi pretended to scowl at Gryphon's response to his story, but it didn't last long, and he snorted and chuckled a moment later. "Yeah well... Ain't my fault I don't know how that shit works." Yes it was - he could have read the directions, at least. "Pretty sure havin' someone warm t'sleep with helped loads, though." He shot a look at Gryph and then looked away again, cheeks flushing madly. God, he was becoming such a moron around this guy. The moron-ness was rubbing off on him.

He could definitely understand the reasoning for not wanting help, though - Kodi was stubborn in that sense as well, which he supposed was why he was pushing so hard to get Gryph to get his wrist checked out. If it was him, he likely would've waited until he couldn't function anymore. "Oh, shut up," he growled with a grin, reaching up to toy with Gryphon's hair. "D'you need me t'kiss your boo-boo?" He snickered, resting his head on the taller boy's shoulder. "I dunno. This place sucks." Kodi wanted to get out soon too. Fortunately, it wasn't too long before the nurse appeared and started addressing the wound, while Kodi watched, lips slightly parted and teeth starting to sharpen unconsciously. He felt... Incredibly protective, and even though he knew the woman was helping, he wanted to make sure she knew that if anything went wrong, he'd make her pay for it.

"How's it feelin'?" he asked Gryphon, eyes not leaving the woman's work. "You doin' okay?"

He couldn't help but chuckle; medicine wasn't exactly rocket science. But companionship was probably the best medicine of them all, in a sense. Gryph wasn't about to get all sappy and go into details - in simple terms, he had liked that night too, no matter how stupidly silly Kodi had been acting. He smiled to himself.

Now Gryph was the one scowling, if only for a moment. Hey, he wasn't 8 years old! Ugh. "You can kiss my ass." He replied, resting his head atop of Kodi's. He let out a sigh, where was everyone when you needed them?

The lady asked a few questions, which Gryph answered monotonously, and then did her fair share of poking and/or prodding, making him wince occasionally as she touched his swollen wrist. 'Gentle' apparently wasn't a word in her dictionary... but it didn't hurt as badly as before - probably because he hadn't tried picking anything up within the last 10 minutes, but he a feeling that his hand was gonna be out of action for more than a few minutes.

Gryphon chuckled, smiling eyes drifting up to look at the blonde boy, "I'm fine, stop worryin' so much." He wasn't certain of the severity of his wrist injury, but he was sure that the nurse would inform him of that shortly. And he was almost telling himself to stop stressing over it, because really, he was. His mind was racing with problems; the foremost being how much it did hurt and the secondmost being when he was going to get out of here, because being trapped wasn't helping his stress levels.

He didn't say anything, though. But he kept smiling, even if it only rested lightly on his lips. It seemed important to keep doing so, but it was also latched onto his features by the minor realization that Kodi... really seemed to care a lot. Who wouldn't smile?

Kodi gave a snarky grin at Gryph's response. "I'll gladly kiss your hot dancer's ass," he replied, puckering his lips. It felt out of place with the soft intimacy of the moment, though, so the southern boy let the subject drop, as much as he wanted to reach around and give that rump a squeeze. Instead, he focused on the feeling of Gryphon's cheek against the top of his head.

Every time that Gryph winced, Kodi's mouth twisted into a larger snarl, but he stayed quiet for the most part, keeping himself pressed possessively against the older boy as long as he didn't get in the way. He reminded himself that he was the one that had brought Gryphon here, and that the woman was supposedly helping, even if it didn't seem like it at the time.

"I'm not worried," he grunted, which was a big fat lie, and it was obvious that it was. "I'm just worried y'won't be able t'ja-" Kodi stopped and glanced at the nurse, then apparently decided what he was about to say would best be whispered in Gryph's ear rather than with the older woman near. Smirking, he pulled back slightly and continued to watch, his foot beginning to tap impatiently as the woman finished up her work.

"Well? What happened?" he demanded after a time. Apparently, according to the woman, Gryphon had fractured a bone in his wrist, which made Kodi's jaw tighten and a flash of concern pass across his features once again. He looked up at the winged boy to see his reaction, his hand automatically going to rest on Gryphon's thigh and give it a squeeze.
