Lani wondered what would happen if they did sleep here. Who would come into the room and see the two thieves sleeping peacefully within the spinning stars? He smiled to himself and allowed himself to dream and in his mind it was like it had always been. Staring up at the stars it was dark enough to let him believe that he was still dreaming, but hard enough to decipher whether or not he was actually awake. When he felt himself jump awake he realized that they should probably leave before they did in fact find themselves sleeping on the floor. Sitting up he looked at Odion and the question occupied his mind and when Odion reached for him Lani followed suit and he glanced at their hands before looking at Odion and trying to squint and see his face.
He smiled and didn’t answer verbally but squeezed Odion’s hand. Odion withdrew his hand and like a mirror Lani pulled back too. He rested his hand back on the floor and yawned widely before shaking his head to try to force away the sleepiness. “Oh man, I’m tired. I think I need to go to bed.” He said bluntly and worked on getting to his feet. He wobbled a bit realizing he might have already worn off a little of the drunkenness with the napping. He reached out his power and sighed with relief, he might be buzzed but his power was also recovering and the walls were no longer bulging and moving and Lani focused his power on the ground and reassured him of what his eyes couldn’t. He stretched out and with a little more sense found the off button and as he did so he was barraged by lights showing the door.
“Gah!” He cried and fell back against the wall shielding his eyes. He was not prepared for that level of light after so much darkness. He squinted at the consol and swatted it a few times before the lights dimmed. He blinked at Odion trying to rid himself of the spots in front of his eyes. “My bad.” He said and smiled at the redhead still on the floor. “Unless you wanna get caught you probably shouldn’t sleep here,” he teased. All too soon the magic of the night would end and he would go one way toward home and Odion would go the other toward the school. Then there would be nothing distracting, just him and his thoughts. He was afraid of what would arise.
