A Series of Unfortunate Events
Sometimes, minor events have a way of snowballing. In a town like Pilot Ridge, and a school like Hammel, this can lead to disastrous effects.
Here is a rough thumbnail sketch of the unfortunate events, and how they will be broken down into the next two months:
May - there is an exceptionally high pollen count for this time of year and this area of the country. An electrokinetic* has allergies, and, due to an allergic reaction, has managed to fry the power grid. This has led to a school-wide power outage, with half the town also suffering due to some backfire when they tried to fix the grid and a probability manipulator (also allergic) was involved.
June - there is something in the water, and in the air, and that is not love. Due to bad weather, in part globally, in part due to allergies, and in part due to final Hammel training exams for the term that not everyone is going to pass, people are falling ill, and it is spreading quickly due to close quarters. A plague is upon us, and we have to hope that everyone is fine before graduation.**
*Unless you want to volunteer your character for one of these roles, the people responsible are all NPCs.
**Your character, if qualified to graduate, will still graduate even if they are sniffly and/or quarantined.
IC, the power outage will only be a couple of days, but threads can spread out from wherever you want. Characters interested in randomization
The rules: All threads are site canon. For initial randomization, say "School" or "Town". Also, clarify if your character is in it for the power outage or the plague, or both.
What to do: Post a head count for whether your character is interested. There will be some initial randomization, but there will be open threads to post as players wish.
What's in it for you: Hilarity, potential open threads and character growth.
All event threads should have SUE (Series of Unfortunate Events): in the thread title. (I am aware of the name implications)
This event will run for two months, ending on June 30.
