They were, in fact, graduates of UVM and graduated with meta-human studies. However, Gregory seemed to be entirely preoccupied with trying to make sure he wasn't being insulting. The one thing about Jaxon that most could appreciate was that they could say anything and it wouldn't affect the Hybrid soul. Xavier, however, it was a different story.
"This may be our first meeting, but please, you honestly don't have to try and redeem yourself every time you say something you might think may be strange or offensive. I honestly don't take offense to many things, so you're fine in that respect. But yes, I did graduate from UVM."
The boy's physical appearance definitely indicated a love of sports, which was something of Xavier's forte, but seeing as though his other half wasn't there, he would just have to make a mental note to tell him later. God, he hated being alone in this body. It wasn't even his to begin with; Xavier was the soul born to it.
"Well my power was rarely seen. I had a trainer that specialized in Gestalts, but that wasn't what I needed to understand my powers. I was at Hammel for six years. By my 4th, I was in enough control that I could graduate - but I was only 15 then. My trainer did a lot of research on my part to get me to that point."
Jaxon intended to give all he had in trying to catch the telepath up with lost time. He couldn't promise full success, but Jaxon would sure as hell try. Having to learn to read and write in two years truly showed how much the Hybrid soul was dedicated, and it was why he was told he made such a great trainer - by students, of course. In no way was he conceited.
"Your power is much more common and there are many methods to go about your training. You're not going to need six years, trust me. You just have to be dedicated to this, as difficult as it may seem once we start getting into it."
