Milan could back off quite easily, if it were not for his sense of responsibility and the fact that Jesse kind of reminded him of Kodiak. While the latter was one of his recruited students, unlike the one in front of him right now, he still got a vibe from him – a vibe that the blond was not as tough as he might be trying to get across at this point. Even if the recruiter was wrong, it would not change his behavior and personality towards the guy. He wasn’t above staying himself.
When Jesse stated he did not need anything, he once more rose hands in a defensive manner. “You’re making that much clear.” For a second Milan considered mentioning that him briefing his teacher was an offer he had accepted (and which easily could be undone if he still stood behind the statement of not needing anything from him), but even the simple thought of that option felt too harsh to the man.
With it becoming obvious that Jesse was quite probably going to do as told, Milan felt a bit awkward standing there, if only because the student was growing irritated again. So, at that, a hand fished in the back pocket of his jeans before blue eyes momentarily inspected the small business card he had plucked from it. They were used during recruiting, just in case parents wished to contact him during the hours he was not around to give them a chance to bid farewell to their child.
He offered it to Jesse. “While you might be too stubborn or have too much pride to use it… You can call me if something is wrong.” It was his mobile for work anyway. Handing out his private number was just a bit too much out of place.
