Body and mind; but mind the body (Axe)

Luke cracked a smile as he had managed to dodge the first punch thrown by the girl without even having to touch her, but even though it was done by little to no effort he did notice that Axe was experienced and was able to cope with it simply by stepping back in a defensive form. Both the partners looked at each other for a bit, Luke snarkily grinning and half moving his index finger in a motion for the girl to come at him. As the girl replied by nearly running in his direction Luke anticipated what she was going to do by noticing the way her body moved, and moved his hands to deflect any puunches that might've grazed him.

The girl frowned and Luke seemed to pick up on it, she was not too happy with not being able to hit the boy. Lucas smiled as Axe came at him again and threw some hooks his way which he adeptly dodged like he had done before, training as he had done enabled him to move about nimbly and without effort. It also helped that the techniques were now more or less his own, and not those of his muscles.

''Stop trying to hit me,'' Luke smiled as he noticed he liked what was happening. A cute girl trying to hit him. 'Twas cute. ''and hit me.'' He eyed the girl as she stepped back again and got ready for yet another assault on the martial artist. Axe came at him and quickly threw some hooks his way as she quickly stepped to the side nd flung a low hook in his direction which Luke had trouble seeing in time. He moved his foot and twisted his body but still felt the fabric grazing his skin. This told him he needed to pay more attention.

He sternly looked the girl in the eyes as he noticed she had now partly adapted to his wing chun and added more speed to her punches and her footing. Luke smiled and decided to go in first for once. He threw a slow punch her way which she easily dodged by swaying to the side but failed to see the way the boy turned his entire back around and slowly stepped backwards and knocked Axelle over by simply backing into her. As she fell down she threw one last hook his way and nearly got him were it not for him turning around instantly, dodging the last hook and throwing forward an open palm toward the now lying Axelle. He stopped inches from her face and looked her in her eyes with a smile.

''Next round.'' He said as he helped Axelle up to her feet and quickly backtracked to the other side of the area.

She was hot and sweaty, her hair was coming out of her ponytail and she was pissed. She hated losing, especially when she should be doing way better than she was (in her opinion). She was further angered by Lucas' taunts and practically growled even as she accepted his hand to pick herself up off the floor. She'd successfully dodged his punch...but he'd knocked her over by backing into her. That seemed like cheating and she was more disgusted with herself than with him. As he backed up she bounced a little on her feet and shook her arms out before advancing in a decidedly predatory way. Her eyes narrowed as she got closer to him, arms raising, getting ready to engage.

The constant litany in her head was reminding her to pull her punches while a louder, far more furious part insisted that she end this round immediately and win. Her hands were loose around her chest before she darted in and tried to fake a hit to Lucas' right side but actually attack with her left. She really wished she knew how to kick right now because sweeping his legs out from under him seemed super appealing. Her shots were deflected but rather than back up to recollect herself she struck out once more, his own fast reflexes ensuring that her fist barely missed his shoulder. She backed up a step and then attacked again, fully focused on taking her opponent out. She went in for another quick one-two shot and, not surprisingly, he deflected both shots. With a move faster than she could track, he struck. She grunted to feel the hits on her left side and side stepped away from them, right fist striking out towards his left shoulder in an attempt to equalize the position, or at least take advantage of it.

Luke grinned as her right first made its way to his left shoulder as he simply side stepped to follow up his own hits and dodged the strike meant for his left shoulder simply by stepping aside. He then grabbed the stretched out arm, hooked in one of hius legs to make sure the girl wouldn't move again and wrapped his arm around her neck and stepped in close. He looked the girl in the eyes as he noticed that her free hand almost doubled over as it flew towards Luke's head.

He quickly let go of the hell bent girl and quickly side stepped, only barely being able to throw his arm up to the thrown punch in order to push it off course. Though it took more out of his arm than a mere graze he was able to keep it from hitting his cranium as he quickly stepped back in the know that this girl was now no longer sparring as much as trying to win.

Luke grinned widely and propped up his fist while tensing his muscles. The girl came at him again and had a fist ready to strike, but instead of striking with that fist as Lucas anticipated she swung her other fist from side to side in order to land a kidney punch. Luke noticed this a bit too late and was not able to deflect or dodge, he was only able to move his body with the punch to keep the girl from landing a full hit on him which he knew would probably end the spar and possibly more. He looked at the girl and noticed that the propped up fist with which she didn't strike before was now coming in the direction of his face.

Luke had to react swiftly now. He threw his arm up wildly and knocked the arm of Axelle out of the way as his free hand grabbed the arm of the girl and wrapped it around himself as he had turned around and was now standing with his back against the girl, still holding the arm and swiftly deflecting the other fist as it came at him in an attempt to get out. Aside from that, Axelle had nothing left to do as he lack of distance between the two bodies prevented any exertion of force.

What Luke forgot however, was that the girl was extremely strong and yanked back her held arm with force. The boy reacted by dancing around the girl until he was facing her back and placed his open palm between the shoulder blades of the girl and quickly forced her to a nearby wall.

Axelle, not surprisingly, bounced off the wall doing nothing more than coming quite suddenly to a stop...though there might have been a slight dent in the drywall now. She shook herself and turned back towards Lucas with an embarrassed grimace on her face. "Sorry about that, I don't have fast reflexes so I can't stop my punches once I start," she stepped closer and raised her hand to touch against his shoulder where she had almost hit him. She felt what muscles she could critically, appreciating how they felt under her fingers. But she'd always liked muscles.

She pulled her hand away quickly when she determined that he wasn't hurt and put her hands behind her back awkwardly. "Yeah, sorry....again. I hate losing," she admitted with something between a smile and another grimace. She unhooked her hands and took her pony tail out, fingers combing through the dyed strands a bit before working quickly to pull her hair back up again. "So I think it's safe to say that we stop here for today, I'm getting hungry anyway," Axelle sighed as her stomach grumbled at her. She'd left her energy bars back in another room and she needed to eat soon. She stretched her arms above her head and then reached down to scratch her still complaining stomach under her shirt. “This was fun though, dangerous, but fun,” she allowed. “We should chat again sometime…no sparring though, I think I almost cracked your skull open, that would have not been okay,” she pretended to gag.

''Gag reflex. Perhaps that's something to work on.'' Out of all things possibly being made into a reaction Luke chose the gag reflex one. He didn't comment her on how it really was fun, and that danger was fun, he didn't think to comment on how even her being hungry sounded sweet, or how she looked nice with her hair down despite it being wet. He would've loved stopping her from putting it back into a ponytail, but his comment on gag reflexes took that chance away.

He coughed his gag comment away and scratched the back of his head, only just realizing that his hands were still in their wraps, something he'd probably keep there despite the sweat underneath. This was mainly because it had been done for him, he felt that taking it off would be nothing short of an insult.

''I'd like a chat sometime.'' He replied with a smile.

Axelle stared at Lucas for a moment, totally unsure if she'd heard him right and then started laughing even as he coughed it away. "Wow dude, you've got it all. Charm, looks, and you're funny. Better watch that mouth of yours though. It's gonna get you into trouble one day," she laughed as she picked her gloves up from where she had left them and began sauntering back towards him.

"I wouldn't mind that either. My house is around the downtown area, next to the auto shop, pop in some time and we'll chat," she grinned as she bopped him with her gloves on his shoulder and walked away. "Nice meeting you Lucas!" she called on her way out the door.
