He turned around on the mattress and closed his eyes as he widened his arms, taking a few minutes to adjust. Not that it hurt, but it proved a valid distraction from the fact he wanted a few minutes to talk to her. Though the realization hit him she could just pick him up like a paperclip and drag him off if she wanted to.

''The flyin' was fun. The landin' not so much though.'' He joked. ''I think I'll need another lesson on that if ya don't mind.'' He told her as he held his hands in front of his face and blew on them a bit. ''Not yet though, it kinda hurts.'' A smile broke through.

He inhaled. ''So Axe. I'm really sorry. I know I've said so before, but seriously, I shouldn't have done that. Ya deserve better.''

He tilted his head up slightly and opened his eyes to look at her, updside down but still managing to know it was Axelle despite the concussion by mattress. ''Can't stress that enough. I've carried it 'round long enough to know it sucks to be treated that way.''

''Again, sorry.''

"So I've gathered, the kids seem to enjoy it when I fall down," she shrugged with a small smile. "Though I'm not really in the mood to send you flying again, besides, someone else will want a turn here soon." Which was actually debatable since most people seemed to have wandered off to other venue's at some point. She caught his "Ya deserve better." with an inner snort.

"Yes I know," she told him matter-of-factly. "Though apologies are appreciated," she added because it was true. She would probably never get tired of Lucas (in particular) saying sorry. While she was over the hurt he'd caused her it had taken some time and a lot of inner thought and strengthening to remember that she was anything less than awesome and deserving of someone just as awesome as she. Which of course excluded people who hurt her and pissed her off, especially if they did both of those things at the same time.

“Do you have a job to do at the fair?” she asked, changing the subject. Maybe he would remember that he had something to do and give her some peace to process what had happened between them for awhile.

He got up to his feet after a few moments of rest on the fluffy device for catching stray Lukes and smiled. ''Fair 'nough.'' He replied with a nod as she said there would be other people around who would want a go. And he kinda agreed, it wasn't fair to keep someone from doing their job. But as he scanned the area around them he coughed slightly. ''Not much of them around though..''

His smile dropped a notch as he was forcefully reminded of what he did and how she reacted. She took it like a champ, but part of him kept wondering what he exactly broke despite it being painfully obvious. If the reality of the situation was anything like he thought it was something he knew all too good himself. ''In that case, luckily for ya I won't stop sayin' sorry anytime soon.'' He offered a weak smile at this. He felt really bad even if he didn't show it at times.

He shook those thoughts out of his head and went on to shake his head at her question. ''Naw, don't 've anythin' to do 'ere apart from deliverin' due apologies.'' He halfheartedly joked. ''But yeah, I'll sod off.'' He added with a smile. He though that was what she wanted anyway.

Axelle shrugged, "They'll come back," she responded confidently, because kids were kids and once they found something entertaining they tended to come back for more. She glanced over in time to see his weak smile but didn't smile in return. There wasn't any reason for her to encourage him because yes, in fact she did want him to go away. She didn’t try and stop him when he mentioned it and nodded once as if confirming that his plans were for the best (because they were).

“Okay, see you around,” she said with a short, abbreviated wave of her hand before returning to her staring out into the crowd waiting for someone to pick up the rope again.
