Watch him beat on some people? Nao didn’t actually….well, not in practice, he didn’t beat people up, though he supposed he had done it before, though only in self-defense. “We don’t do a lot of flips,” he advised. It was called ukemi, and was basically learning how to fall and roll without hurting oneself. Basically, controlling your own center of gravity to lessen injury even if you do happen to get hit by your opponent. “But I’d love to teach you if you’re willing to learn.”
Captain America? Well…he couldn’t necessarily say he hadn’t done those type of comic books, but he was mostly talking about manga and graphic novels. Nao supposed it was his own fault for using a term that he thought Matt might better relate to. “Probably nothing you’ve heard of. I mainly take Japanese comics and translate them to English. At least, that the most popular kind of work I get." He might have to explain what those are to Matt later, too. Matt seemed to be very…unknowledgeable about eastern culture.
Thankfully? Never touched the stuff? If he’d never touched it then how did he know it was bad? At this point Nao wasn’t sure whether to be offended or not….he supposed he shouldn’t. A lot of people, after all, chose their meals based on appearance or familiarity. Actually, his own little sister was one of the pickiest eaters he knew! “That’s alright,” he assured Matt. “I’ll eat pretty much anything, so I’ll let you choose the place if we go out.” ‘Go out’. Nao tried not to blush at the phrase, but failed. So he ducked his head down towards his food to concentrate on consuming it.
