Nao was definitely sick, he was getting all fidgety and he looked very much like he wanted to disappear. Raylaigh chuckled and reached out to ruffle Nao’s hair. “I know, you’re my favorite workaholic.” He wasn’t upset, contrary he was worried, it wouldn’t do for Nao to collapse again on his bed, better that he go and get some actual rest, especially if falling asleep on their plans was taking this much of a toll on him. Really, Ray didn’t mind, he didn’t but Nao certainly seemed to. If only Nao knew the thoughts that ran through Ray’s mind about him, well his dream might well seem pretty usual. Ray wasn’t going to say he was in love with Nao, because love was scary and there was no way he was going to do that again, but he definitely found the Asian attractive, even more now that he had come back to school a sexy boy. Ray couldn’t imagine what would have Nao all worked up now, other than being embarrassed about falling asleep.
“You sure? What do you need? I’ll go get you food if you want to go get some rest,” he offered, ever helpful, ever clueless. He looked close at Nao, he had a feeling Nao wasn’t telling him everything, but well, it wasn’t like he could make Nao tell him, especially not if Nao was sick and just wanted to be left alone. Ray knew he had moments like that. Rarer than your average person probably, but Raylaigh enjoyed his time alone sometimes as well. Luckily for Nao the drawings were a good distraction and Ray all but forgot about his friend’s discomfort. He dropped the subject in favor of art, obviously Nao was sick, it wouldn’t do to pester him, but art, well Raylaigh could talk about art until the sun came up.
Raylaigh colored with pride and ducked his head, blushing greatly now. He was preening under the praise, if Nao wasn’t careful this would all go to the flyer’s head then he’d never put his feet on the ground again. “Thanks, Nao,” he said peaking up at the Asian, “That means a lot.” Ray waved a hand dismissively, “You could if you worked at it, I know you, you’d work hard and you’d get it.” He said smiling at Nao, bright and cheerful, Nao was a hardworker and frankly the flyer still doubted that there was anything that the speedster couldn’t do.
The lingering feel of Nao on his lips made Ray hot and his breath wasn’t coming at regular intervals. Damn, why did Nao have to have this affect on him? Ray couldn’t take his eyes off of Nao as he moved and he was very tempted to tell him to keep the blanket if he wanted, it almost looked as though Nao was going to take it with him anyways. Raylaigh made to follow and Nao kissed him again and Ray found himself leaning after Nao, long after he’d broken the kiss with just the blanket in his hands. “Yeah…” Ray managed to get out. “Feel better Nao!” He made to follow Nao at least into the common room but Nao seemed to speed up ahead of him. Ray wanted so badly to go after Nao but he hadn’t forgotten their conversation earlier. Nao wasn’t ready for that, but oh god if Ray’s willpower wasn’t being tested. He was used to being grabbed and taken in passion and he was strongly tempted to go after Nao but no… no that wouldn’t be good. He backed into his room and adrenaline raced through his veins. He went back to his desk and shuffled through his pages to find Nao again. This was the one, he was going to make it perfect and when Nao saw it… well he hoped Nao liked it.
