He laughed! Jen grinned widely, chuckling along as he laughed. He had such a nice smile, plus it showed he got the joke, which only made her happy. "I thought so." She said, agreeing with his compliment and then mocked a bow, "I live to entertain." She added with a wide grin, actually loving that she'd gotten such a reaction.
When they talked about checking others out, it seemed they had opposite opinions. "Not all. We wouldn't have space rockets if we did." She said with a shrug, "But it's on the top ten, right below lying and above cheating." Maybe he was right. Maybe she had a very dark view of what people were like.
That little confession made her eyebrows rose suddenly, and her smile turned wider. "Oh come on. All I'm missing are smoke signals here." She joked, unsure if he'd been serious. Maybe he didn't like her, which was perfectly fine! Okay, it was a big blow to the ego, but hey! It wasn't like she was holding a gun to his head.
She stopped nibbling on her lip as soon as he mentioned and looked down at herself, noticing she was in fact leaning over the table. The fact that he could see these things made her chuckle quietly. That was some talent. She never really thought about normal people having talents like that. She usually used the word referring exclusively to metas. "Maybe I bite my lip because I want you to kiss me." She teased with a wide smile, "and I lean forward so you can check out my rack. Duh." She rolled her eyes playfully, and then smiled widely since she was actually teasing. She wasn't sure he would get it, though at this point she didn't mind much. If he didn't like her then it was all fine, she still found him amusing and interesting enough to take up her time.
He said he wasn't the wrong kind and her smile widened. "Of course you would say so, but what makes you the right kind then?" She was being pushy and she knew it, but he seemed so shy that he needed a little push too, at least she liked to think so.
