Takes place at the Holiday Bash 2014
For the better part of the night, James had been hovering by the bar, chatting away with familiar and not so familiar faces. The extrovert had been looking forward to this event for awhile, mostly because it was an opportunity to meet new people, have a few drinks and just... do something. That was one aspect he missed about New York; the ever changing nightlife, different people... everything. He still frequented the bars and clubs in Pilot Ridge but seeing the same faces night after night got old.
Plus, ever since the one night James had walked into his neighbour's apartment by accident, he'd decided he needed to not do that ever again.
With a topped off glass, James turned to leave the area he had called home for the evening, a decent buzz in his system now. His walk was confident and full of determination, because across the room he saw a familiar dorm monitor with brown locks of hair. Her.
It didn't take long for him to cross the distance of the room, maneuvering through crowds of dancing people and coworkers with drinks in hands. James breathed a sigh of relief, unconciously smoothing down the front of his button up shirt with a free hand. He would have grabbed her one too, had he known her drink of preference or if she even did.
James cleared his throat, a friendly half smirk on his face. Like always. "Never thought I'd see you here. Didn't take you for the party type." He said as an introduction, eyes landing on Ella before flickering to the male companion next to her. Had he been here all this time? James hadn't noticed. He raised his glass to his lips, eyes not leaving the pair
